I love a slightly lighter, softer colored brick with a few natural red bricks thrown in with a german shmeer. Thank you for such an easy to follow video!! Can't wait to do this to my foundaitons!! :)
Thank you for posting. Just want her you make the brick in the previous video, having been thing about purchasing the same exact mold and you covered all the things I need to know. New subscriber for all your hard work!
Great video, simple and clear explaination for diy brick wall. I plan to brick interior chimney that goes thgrough two levels. Now its only concrete chimney with drywall as cover.
I just watched 4 of your videos in rapid succession. They are fantastic man. Really informative without a lot of superfluous info. Would love to see something about how to do faux limestone casting. But keep up the great work!
That was fun to watch! The extra mortar removing part was very satisfying! 😄👌🏼 My 1914 brick cottage has a pinkish mortar and i wonder if i could get a similar mortar color... Installing spot lights is a great idea! I need a designer to help with that.
Can you list all the ways you can cut the veneers. I have a chop saw knippers and a ryobi grinding wheel. I’m not sure what u used it was to quick. Was there a certain blade on your saw?
I want to add blond veneer bricks to the wood in between the existing bricks to give me house a 100% brick look. Incidentally, what does 611/1, 611/2, 611/3, 611/4 & 611/S-4 mean? Also, how do you fill the corner molds since part is VERTICAL?
Those are model numbers. Each model has unique bricks you can cast so they don't look so repetitive. Check this video out for the corner bricks- th-cam.com/video/6G4ODpPh8Ik/w-d-xo.html
@@GlobMarble ok, how much for the full set that Amazon has for $482.54 ? Also, for exterior use I don’t think thinset mortar is going to stick to house wrap, so what is your recommendation? I’m thinking maybe Liquid Rubber or Red Guard as a vapor barrier.
I want to use thin brick around my fireplace which has old 70's marble around it. I want to glue the thin bricks to the marble, can I do that? If so what should I use to glue it to the marble? Thank you!
I would recommend using construction adhesive, but first you will need to sand the marble down. If it is too glossy, no amount of any adhesive will properly stick
Looks great! I am in the process of doing this project but not sure if I should put adhesive and brick on plain sheetrock. Would this be ok to install on plain wall and would you recommend starting from the top or bottom?
one thing In my country (iran), they do not know what superplasticizer is. can you help me??? what i should do??? Do you know a brand that is well known in Asia?
Superplasticizer is a water reducer. If you add too much water the concrete will be much weaker, but if you add too little it becomes unworkable. If you add superplasticizer the concrete will still be wet enough to use but you will need much less water. In general it makes concrete much stronger. We don't know any brands in Asia, but we ship it worldwide :) here is a link- globmarble.com/concrete-additive-water-reducer-super-plasticizer.html
Thank you for this. Very interested in obtaining one of those moulds. How do you think they would hold up on a floor with light to moderate usage? Would the super plactisizer ? Help with the strength?
Technically you can, but they are very thin and are made to be installed on walls. usually people use paving stones for floors- globmarble.com/concrete-stone-mold-brick-ss-5503.html
These bricks are designed to be on a wall due to their thinness. Technically they could be installed and last for a long time if installed properly and on a perfectly even floor, but I wouldn't recommend it. We also sell paver brick molds but I don't know if they would be a good thickness for you - globmarble.com/concrete-stone-mold-brick-ss-5503.html
Thanks! Type S mortar is a premixed bag with a perfect amount of sand to give you a nice texture. Not too smooth, not to gritty. Here is the exact bag I used- www.walmart.com/ip/40LB-Type-S-Mortar-Mix/145378623
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR NOT MAKIJNG THIS VIDEO 20 MINUTES WITH TOO MUCH TALKING AND NOT ENOUGH EDITING. GREAT HELPFUL VIDEO
Glad it helped!
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. You are a natural teacher. Planning something like this around the stairs.
Good luck! If you use our molds could you send us pictures of your finished product?
Like the no so "perfect" look. Informative demonstration.
Glad you liked it!

Thanks man, I appreciate the support!
This is so legit, dude. No idea it could be that easy!
Thanks! basically anybody can do it :)
Oh, I love this! Can the bricks go right over the existing wall? Should I put up cement board first instead?

Sounds great, good luck!!!

Glad my videos are helpful man, limestone would probably be best replicated with white sand, white cement and a beechnut-colored stain top :)
That would look really cool with the German Schmeer Pretty good video thumbs up
Thanks!
This looks awesome! Fixing to watch your other video on how to make them... thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Very nice and understanding video.
Thank you .
Glad you liked it!!

Installing spot lights is a great idea! I need a designer to help with that.
Thanks!! It would be possible if you used a white mortar and added some of our oxide pigments into it to get a pink hue :)
This is awesome, dude. Thanks for this!
Glad I could help!

You can cut concrete with a diamond blade, do not cut it with anything else
Khalil from Algeria Thanks for this video And your job was well
Is it cheaper to make them with everything you used than buying pre-made panels or brick
Of course
can you tell me what you spray the mold with before putting the material. and can it be oil. thanks in advance.
It is release agent, it is like oil but does not stain the concrete. Links to all the tools and materials are in the description of the video
Tenk you
Nice job, thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Thx , just wondeing will that silcon stick on Gybsom partion or wood partion ?
I would recommend using construction adhesive
Loved it. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks sooooo good I want it in my house!!!❤️
Thanks! :)

Harrison from Dexter?
This was very cool and easy. Silicon is very practical but I am wondering, is it safe enough for internal use?
Yup! Its safe, but what might be even better is construction adhesive. That's also safe :)

You can do this with construction adhesive. And always start from the bottom!
Awesome video, it really helped. What do you use to initially stick brick to the wall, silicone or construction adhesive? Is there a difference?
Thanks! You could use either but honestly I prefer construction adhesive because it is sturdier and not as flexible.
I use Mastic ( backsplash adhesive)and work perfect.
Great tip!

Is the silicone strong?
It is a material much stronger than silicon called polyurethane. The molds can be used thousands of times if cared for properly
Thank you for this. Very interested in obtaining one of those moulds. How do you think they would hold up on a floor with light to moderate usage? Would the super plactisizer ? Help with the strength?

How well do these bricks hold up outside if you were to use them as a siding on the lower half of a wall?
The hold up just fine, that's exactly what they were made for!
you are the best
i love you
Thanks!!
Thought he said, "tight-ass mortar mix."
Thats amazing i am impressed wow 🤩😎🥰🥰
Thanks!!
Can the bricks be used as flooring indoors?

Do those bricks do well outdoors?
What if I don't have any corner
You can buy corner molds on our site :)
What is type s mortor? Looks good, saw you making the verniers too
Thanks! Type S mortar is a premixed bag with a perfect amount of sand to give you a nice texture. Not too smooth, not to gritty. Here is the exact bag I used- www.walmart.com/ip/40LB-Type-S-Mortar-Mix/145378623
Can you use the adhesive to attach to stucco?
Yes but you have to be sure that the stucco is clean, and in good condition. If it is crumbling the bricks wont hold for very long.
Thank you
White wash would be cool too
That would look cool. You would have to do it after you apply your sealer though
@@GlobMarble oh, ok. Good to know!
why we use thin concreate bricks if we dont plastring its looks same.
whatever color the bricks, i prefer white mortar.
You tooled the wall too early, other than that good job. Would recommend using longer spacers for more even look.
