I have been a supporter and member for more than sixty years, and in my opinion he is the best player I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Congratulations Scott, If ever there was a player that deserves another premiership before he retires. Yeah he's our greatest ever, his longevity, what he brings as a leader, his ability to seemingly slow down time and find a way out, his cool-headed approach and way he can calm his teammates' nerves, all that rolled into one......so elite.
Many years ago, I used to play basketball against Scott. He was freakishly good. No one could touch him. Seeing his journey has been amazing. He is the definition of a true Champion. Good on ya pendles.
Met him multiple times with my nephew and he gave him all the time in the world, also my cousin who recently passed away from cancer Pendles came out and met with her and the recent black arm bands against Gold Coast were for her! All because of Pendles! Absolute legend on the field but off the field you can’t get a better human and professional athlete.

In the last quarter of the GF your handball to Nick and his handball to Jordy for a goal in my 60 years of following the pies is one of the best team goals I have ever seen. Nathan, you've always surprised me from the time you started. That's a massive call and very selfless, great work.
I was fortunate enough to chat to Chris Judd about him one day and Chris told me he rated Pendelbury higher than Dusty Martin because he was more consistent over a longer period of time.
I think Dustin is the Greatest Finals player of all time, meanwhile Pendles is the greatest Magpie of all time. Both are legends.

I used to hate buckley growing up (I'm 43 now), because I perceived he was arrogant - he's a legend, and I think he's okay now. Very hard to hate Pendles. Legend and just a pro. Loving the way all the coaches talk about him too.

An underrated quality is that he is also tough. Plays with and through injury, has made himself an elite stoppage tackler. Just team first always. Such a privilege to watch his entire career unfold and see the layers of his game develop.

In my 50+ years of watching and supporting the Collingwood Football Club, Scott Pendlebury is clearly the greatest Magpie that I've seen.
Scott's sheer high level of consistency and utter professionalism is unmatched. He is always striving for perfection in a personal and team level.
Scott's long list of deserved accolades is testament to his ability and winning mentality that he brought to the club.
Basketball's loss was undoubtedly a blessing for Collingwood and the entire sport of AFL Football.
Thank goodness we live in the digital age where Pendles' artistry on the field can be witnessed and enjoyed for generations to come.
