2027 Scout EV | The Most Powerful of Unusual Appearance

🚩VW has confirmed it will build a new battery factory in Canada that will supply components for the 2027 Scout EVs and trucks that will be built in South Carolina. The company refers to the plant in St. Thomas, Ontario, as a "gigafactory" and says it will start producing batteries in 2027.
Scout production is scheduled to start in 2026, so we're not sure what VW's battery plans are for the initial launch of the 2027 Scout EV models. This new battery plant is part of Volkswagen's PowerCo subsidiary that is also working on establishing similar facilities in Europe and Asia.
The straight lines, flat hood and roof and flared wheel arches are part of the retro look of the new 2027 Scout EV truck and both vehicles will be built on the same body-on-frame chassis platform, offering various trim levels for more aggressive off-roading prowess.
Industry insiders predict the new Scout SUV and pickup may have 450 horsepower available in the top tier trim versions.
We hope the new 2027 Scout EV and pickup will offer a wide array of customizable features so that consumers can make them uniquely their own. These may be the off-road ready fun filled EVs that we've been waiting for.
