They back their way into a corner and have to play defense and point their way in. I say this with honest criticism as I am a fan of Bubba. He got me back into paying attention to Nascar again (this channel was also a big part too). If this 23 team can get a W and get a full season of consistency together, they can easily go to the round of 8. This team is easily a top 10 top 12 team. As for Larson and the double, sounds like Nascar is saying "he must race or else" behind cameras (que the chic fil a meme). Nascar also could have resumed racing (as most fans and teams expected i believe) and Larson would have gotten in the car for the remaining time of the 600.
Yes, NASCAR fans expected to see Larson race. They also expected to see a full Coca Cola 600 not a rain shortened race. I live in Sonoma and not only did they move our date we only get one chance to see our favorite drivers wish we had two dates.
Here’s a wild idea, get rid of the playoff system in NASCAR then we don’t have to worry about play off waivers and such. And I think the Coke 600 is way overrated anyway. The Indy 500 is one of the biggest races in all motorsports globally.
biggest problem with bubba wallace and the 23 team is bootie tbh the strategy on that team is god fucking awful, also dont understand how every adjustment they somehow put the car back 10 spots.
NASCAR should welcome Larson winning at Indy if that ever happened. I feel like that would be a boost to NASCAR. Hed likely still make it to Charlotte anyways in most cases even with a little rain.
Kyle's hesitation to answer "Would you get out of the car if you're leading the 500?" says he wouldn't even THINK about it. Let's say Kyle wins this year's cup championship. If he's leading the 500, do you think he CARES about winning the championship versus a limited-opportunity Crown Jewel event he's DREAMED OF WINNING as a kid? HELL NO!! If I were Kyle, and I had a major shot to win that 500, and NASCAR wants me to pull out of the race early, I'm staying in. Suspend me for a year. Kyle would leave NASCAR and explore other series. Which he has expressed interest in doing before.
Have to vehemently disagree with Eric on this one. I'm not hard on nascar about new changes, new schedules, or the tv deal/charter negotiation business, but I do not agree with their stance on the memorial day double at all. I feel like, after this year's controversy, they should change the waiver rule to say that it is automatically granted if needed for anyone who misses all or part of the 600 to attempt the double. It's too big a ratings and interest boost for them to even have top drivers attempt it, and the downside when it goes wrong like this year is nonexistent. Hell, if they were smart they'd include other premier events in other series like the 24 of Lemans or Bathurst or just about any F1 race as eligible for automatic waiver. The position they are taking will make it very unlikely that anyone else can put a good deal together to even attempt the double going forward. It's too much money to risk for the possibility that the driver will have to pit and get out even if they are leading if we are to believe what they all said today.
@EricEstepp-f5o I think tier best thing they can do to "protect the 600" and their interest is to make the double not only doable, but encourage more drivers to do it. The get a massive increase in interest every time a driver attempts it.
Early weather forecast for May 2025 shows clear skies in Indy followed by a weather shortened Coke 600 preventing Kyle Larson for completing the double…AGAIN!!! Karma’s a B…….. 😂😂😂
I’ve always said Kyle Larson is a wheel man if anybody can do the double and win both it’s him I mean the man doesn’t even take an off-season off during the NASCAR off-season. He’s out racing at some dirt track somewhere every week.
Larson was running full speed while everyone else was saving fuel. At the end of the race when they turned it on he wasn’t even close to running their speeds.
I'll be shocked if Wallace does not get a win before the end of the year. He's been so close on many occasions but on those occasions nothing of his doing takes him out.
@@historybuff1483 Bubba Wallace has been with 23XI for 4 seasons. Bubba has recorded 2 victories. Only one playoff appearance. Tyler Reddick has outperformed him with 2 wins this year.
Why are people making it out that MJ, Hamlin and the driver's are some average joe going paycheck to paycheck. Hamlin 65 million value, MJ billionaire, 2311 drivers 5 million per driver .
does indycar/nascar move start times for the 500/600 a little to add a little breathing room to complete both?
I wish they would! Could solve a lot of problems!!!
Bet they move 600 earlier to mess him up.
@@williambrant3214 now that I could see!
I don’t see how Hamlin can focus on racing with this charter thing
5:08 granted they could have seen him race if they committed to drying the track........... #StillMad
power rankings are dumb but how tf is larson still #2 after the past month?
Why don’t you ask Kyle’s fans.My bet they want to see him in both races.
Welcome back Bowman, i tjink the Chatter on his Ride, has sent him UP 3 levels of Determination and Grit, / talent , IF HMS , And Blake Harris gives bim the Car, !!! He will be in top 5 and CAN easily win, Any week , it just depends on if he gets the SAME CARS AS Larson and Byron, if they do give him the dame Equipment , he will win A few more times this year. And make it Easily. To the round of 8, and if his stars Align, he could win at Martinsville, and make it to the final 4 , and im serious , if he has the chance. He could do the impossible, and win at His home track race, Phoenix, so lets Gooooo AB !!!! STRONG START. LETS HOOE HE CAN GET HOT for the next 8 Races. And HMS, helps Harris , he will do great things !!!💯🍻🙏🤷♂️🏁🏁🏁
Just run the 600 Saturday night and Indy Sunday or vice versa if Indy decides to run Sat. Why make it so hard?
Larson should be where Joey is, and vice versa YRB should be the leader, since he is the points leader.
I'm for the 5 but I'd drop him down to 3rd ,at least, on the power rankings. He's been fucking up a lot
I'd bump Bowman and put Suarez at 10. I double checked and excluding his DNF at Daytona, Suarez has finished ahead of Bowman an average 11 positions since the Olympic break.
That’s pretty crazy wtf
Eric what’s your thoughts on cosmic rewind if you’ve went to Epcot recently
I'm not going to lie I went to Benebone to try and buy something to support them but they literally have nothing for my dog as in chewing bones, not toys. The little treats would be nice if my dog was still a puppy.
Wish we could get a current Indy driver to come over to nascar like Scotty Mac or newgarden
While I agree that fans should be upset if a driver doing the double can't attend his race because of weather, but they get two chances to see him race at there track. I get the 600 is once a year and money is tight for everyone but you still get two shots to see him.
We all know what comes after the dog.👀 good luck brother 😂😂
So do you don't have to have a charter to race? It's confusing.
Anyone that doesn't know that GM, HMS and NASCAR has a nice little alliance $$$ is totally blind. Coke 600 is one of my favorite tracks.
Does anyone know if this Arrow Maclaren is the same team that runs in F1?
biggest problem with bubba wallace and the 23 team is bootie tbh the strategy on that team is god fucking awful, also dont understand how every adjustment they somehow put the car back 10 spots.
Eric's got that DAWG in em
I have an idea: Since Eric now has a dog, For drivers that are in “Trouble”, Penalty or fines. Are in “The Doghouse”?
Aero McLaren should sponsor the Cup car.👍
Unless a driver is injured in a Nascar cup race there should be no waiver.
The get a massive increase in interest every time a driver attempts it.
first why dont the tracks get together and move the times so more guys can do this.
23IX should sign Herbst to the 23. Monster sponsorship will help the bottom line.
The truth is Bubba makes to many mistakes when it comes to crunch time
“It’s like he’s my actual son” 🤣🤣🤣
Don't let Cosmo eat your socks. That can really mess up his intestines.
If Bubba can’t race with 23XI because of this charter bullshit. I’ll loose it
I'll be shocked if Wallace does not get a win before the end of the year. He's been so close on many occasions but on those occasions nothing of his doing takes him out.
Be prepared to be shocked.
He is in the best equipment possible, they lack for Nothing. Professional sports is a results driven business.Period end of story.
So are other drivers that missed the playoffs or only got in because of luck. Should they all be fired? He had a better season than 6 playoff drivers.
@@historybuff1483
Bubba Wallace has been with 23XI for 4 seasons. Bubba has recorded 2 victories. Only one playoff appearance. Tyler Reddick has outperformed him with 2 wins this year.
On the contrary, Erik Jones was with Joe Gibbs Racing for 3 seasons and won 2 races. Made the playoffs 2 out of those 3 years. After missing it in 2020, he was released from that team and them moved to Richard Petty motorsports.
It's time that Bubba Wallace and 23XI racing go their separate ways.
@@iankhan4614 Reddick BARELY won a race this year. He lead like 15 laps combined in both races lmfao. Oh by the way, tell me who was the car to beat at Michigan again where Reddick won? Who won the first stage and was in position to win before they were wrecked out and who was running 15th all race? Just admit one has luck and one doesn’t. Did you forget we have eyeballs?
@@historybuff1483so Bubba has how many wins this year? You can make up all the excuses or call wins “barely wins” fact of the matter is he never earned that ride. He got it because of his noose garbage. Based on performance alone he should be in trucks.
@@historybuff1483 Not to mention, Bubba with Richard Petty Motorsports, earned 2 top 5's in 3 seasons. Tyler Reddick won 3 races at RCR in 2022 before going to 23XI racing. I think that Bubba is a journeyman driver. Like Daniel Suarez, Austin Dillon, Cole Custer and Erik Jones.
Glen with huge tire fall off how many laps will mtj not lead
I heard that HMS may loan Alex bowman to spire next year(2025)???
Just apply for waver jow
I'm a Bubba fan as yall might or might not know and I feel for the guy. He has been improving but if he just break the winless streak that'll take some of the stress off of him surely. One can only hope next season. And boy. If he wins the 500 next season. I might legit cry lol
There’d be riots if he won the 500 lol
@@JackLikesTrackhouse u think so? Idk, man
Bro he’s not winning anything anytime soon and I’ll bet on that too!
It doesn’t help when he gets wrecked by someone every time he is competing for a win.
@@lordfarquad444not when he gets wrecked by someone every week. Both races Reddick won were races Bubba was beating him in and got wrecked out.
