I have one of these. I inherited it from a shop that closed down, and one of the kids was told he could keep anything he wanted when he cleaned it out. So he gave me everything he found computer related. This was the best thing in the lot, but there was also a ton of older server equipment too, about 10 year old server equipment. I cant get the damn touchscreen to work. I can get it recognized as a touch screen only when the PC is in tablet mode. But it still doesnt do anything. Once, and only once, I saw a bunch of circles appear where all of my fingers hit at one time, i think there were 3 circles that flashed up and shrank away. I was all excited that it worked! But then nothing after that. THEN A WINDOWS UPDATE. Now its no longer recognized as a viewsonic but as a generic monitor. I’m so glad I dont depend on Microsoft. The display does look really good though. For something essentially dug out of the trash its great. So now I have it attached to a 10 year old laptop that I repaired by simply pulling its motherboard out of its case, three it in one of those fake book boxes, looks like a big Atlas, and use it as a simple media machine.
Im using it right now! But, I have not attached the USB cable to it as I found touching the screen would make it filthy real fast and as we deal in video and graphics was not an ideal way to use this monitor.
I want to use the touchscreen function of the monitor. I have an Android tablet with female Type C, what kind of connecting cables should l buy? Is it a male Type C to male HDMI 1.4? or male Type C to male USB A? or male Type C to USB B? or another way? Thanks in advance.
