  • Food that can cause cancer are Processed meat, overcooked foods, and fried foods and this may increase your risk of some types of cancer. That's because these foods may contain carcinogens, or compounds that cause cancer. Alcohol produces carcinogens when it's metabolized by your body.

For most of us, my self included, I’m totally in tune with the idea of putting down processed foods and going more natural but alas, whole, organic foods and produce are much more pricey than packed processed foods and for those of us that don’t meet that financial mark to actually be able to incorporate these things in our daily diet, we resort to things like processed foods and cheap takeout.

    I work in Oncology ward.
Most of my patients who have cancer are still eating food high in sugar and heavily processed. Even though, the hospital offers beautiful and succelent healthy vegetables and fruits. Makes it even worse for diabetes patients because often they are prescribed heavy doses of steroids and their blood sugar levels are off the roof. I have to spend a whole nightshift giving stat insulin to fix it.

I have not seen the inside of a supermarket for several years now. I am fortunate to live in an area close to several organic farmers, and have two local markets stocked with locally produced veggie, meat and dairy products about a half mile away from my home. I am almost 66 years old and use absolutely no pharmaceutical products prescribed or over the counter for any reason whatsoever.
A year and a half ago, i lost about 60 pounds of excess fluids and body fat by simply eating one good meal every day while avoiding most carbs, sugars and processed 'foods'. I have also reversed every chronic health problem that has plagued me for decades. As long as you improve your metabolic health, you should have no fears of cancer diabetes or heart disease. They say that heart disease is the number one killer, but the real number one killers are the lack of metabolic health and medical malpractice - the lack of a holistic approach!

A really good friend of mine passed away from colon cancer couple years ago, and I’m convinced that it’s because he was blind. I started to realize that he had no way of being selective and articulate about preparation of food. And that’s why he always would want us to meet at a pizza parlor for dinner, because he would end up taking a lot of it home for breakfast the next day. This is the kind of stuff that he ate, as processed as it could possibly be. It was the only thing he had control over that he was willing to do. I offered him some of my healthy eating habits, and food, and remedies, but he was pretty self-sufficiently, the way he was ever gonna be. Too proud to accept my help. Such a waste!

    • @gkitty2827

I dont think its him being proud at all. Its honestly kind of addicting all the processed and fried foods and its like that for a reason. For these companies to make money. Not just the ones in the supermarket but the ones that profit off of you getting cancer or other conditions and treating it. Its like they are all in kahoots with each other. Its also extremely expensive to eat healthier as well as they dont have time when working all day to prepare a healthy meal forcing people to go back to the fast food or frozen food items. Its not our fault, but we can certainly change it if we care enough to. Im sure your friend didn’t realize how much it would impact the length of his life and most people dont in fact. Personally i think we need to change our way of life to being more self sufficient. Growing our own food and raising our own meat.

Plus, your sample size is way too small and highly selective to be relevant, you are talking about 3 people. If you look at all your colleagues, family members, friends, it would start to be more accurate than only 3 people.

I wish preventative measures was more emphasized in modern medicine, but, we have become so focused on treatment of chronic diseases after the fact vs. open and honest communication from a medical professional about simple lifestyle choices and changes that will lead to better health outcomes. This is all the more relevant given the high expenditure and cost of healthcare in the US yet that extra cost is not associated with safer, effective and proven health outcomes.

Association is not Causation. The study should use double blind methods having a control group. The increased rates of cancer when eating "processed foods" can just as easily be shown to be due to consuming too much sugar (often as carbs) as part of eating too often (snacking) often leading to metabolic syndrome (generally involving insulin resistance, diabetes, weight gain, vitamin deficiencies). Simply cooking food using a recipe to make a soup then causes food to be deemed "processed." Also, people who try to eat "healthy" most likely are doing OTHER things which would tend to reduce their cancer risk (avoiding environmental toxins, getting sun exposure, exercise, healthy intermittent fasting, self stress management, no smoking, and similar).

We make ourselves very sick, whether by stress, by eating too much, by sleeping late at night, by sleeping during the day when the sun is shining, by a sedentary lifestyle, by consuming ready-made food, by using all kinds of detergents, etc. Then we make it worse with drugs. I'm actually wishing now death would come sooner to me so that I can leave this wicked suffering unloving uncaring world so that I will no longer experience any physical and emotional sufferings due to living in this world. I'm 56 years old. But I feel I've lived enough as I'm a loner without anybody with me and I don't like to suffer alone any more. Just trying my best to be happy and enjoy each day while living with the things I love to do and trying to stay happy and positive. I don't understand why the wicked prosper and live long lives while relatively good hearted kind sensitive caring people have to get all types of sicknesses, experience emotional, physical loneliness, depression and suffering and have to die young. But I'm now ready to die anytime cos I feel very tired of living any more in this world all alone. Please don't misunderstand me or judge me wrongly and leave any insensitive replies unless you want to say somethings to comfort me as I'm very sad and hurt already. I don't have anybody for me even though I've always been there for others in their darkest times in their lives to help them always. I have lost all hope and will to live any longer as I simply find it so hard and sad to take care of myself in everything daily without any love or emotional support. My family also is very cruel towards me and don't even check on me including my parents and my two elder siblings even though I've done so much till recent years to support them and make them feel special. Now they have discarded me. I have been taken for granted and nobody even visits me and tries to contact me only if they need some help from me or take advantage of me whom I'm staying a way from cos they are not genuine. I know if anything happens to me where I feel helpless there won't be anybody coming to help me and I don't understand why cos most people are cold shouldering me and being judgemental and I don't understand why cos I've not harmed anybody and very sensitive and caring empathizing to those in need.

you could say that carcinogens are just as prevalent in the packaging of processed food as they are in the food itself. especially plastics and foam packages, any sealed plastic container could contain varying amounts of PFAS's, so the crux of the matter is simple... since you purchase your food at a superstore chain, be sure that all of that stock has to be transported long distance and so is more likely to experience leeching of PFAS from the packaging into the food as well as those PFAS included in the processing or manufacture of the food item.
moral of the story - visit a baker to buy bread, visit a butcher to buy meat and visit an agricultural co-op for your fresh fruit and vegetables... anyway, you knew all that already so why don't you do it? the matter of convenience...the continuity of food product supply by superstore chains is going to end humanity... or at least, do its best at assisting that encouragement of cancer and making the poor poorer.

Some of these things include anything that would bring the minimal amount of joy to your life… I get it, I try to eat home cooked as much as possible, add fibre where I can, workout often and exchanged the salt shaker for a potassium one. I hope these behaviours offset the snacking and use of things like miracle whip or mayo on bread when I make my sandwich. Either way the full elimination of these items seems difficult based on todays world and too often conversations around it come from a place of privilege (not saying that’s what’s happening here, this seems to be informing as opposed to shaming). I’ll continue to do my best while balancing some of these fun foods just because they spark joy lol

Why are you still snacking? You have to stop that as soon as you can. Watch Dr. Jason Fung for the consequences of snacking. I know the mayo temptation. I bought Hellman's last week because the sale was so good. Indeed, it was so good it overrode my "I don't buy mayo anymore" claim. Here's what I usually do: combine 3 egg yolks and a tsp mustard in a blender or whisk it by hand, drizzle 300 ml oil (peanut, olive, something non-inflammatory) into the egg and mustard blend; it will turn from a liquid into a nice thick mayo, season to taste. Pop in some freshly squeezed lemon juice if you want a zesty mayo. Store in the fridge. You're done. It took a minute and a half. Good luck and enjoy🙂

The thing is if you eat sugars or fast food or or once in a week nothing will happen to you, but people eat these things almost every 2 days and often which causes cancer, eat healthy all the time and once a while you can eat something unhealthy if it's just once in a while.

This was quite a frustrating video. Obviously you are right. Ordinary people, however, usually have neither the money to buy healthy, unprocessed food, nor the time required to prepare meals of thast stuff. Hence, the only choice is consuming tasty but dangerous fast food hoping that everything goes well.

This isn’t necessarily true. Food for me and my pets is my top priority, after paying rent and utilities. I do pay more money for fresh and organic. I pick one day a week (usually Sunday) to prepare 2 large meals, divvy up into glass containers for my lunch and dinner for the week.
I don’t buy clothes or makeup or anything else until my food is purchased. Food is #1 for me. If I have extra after bills and food, I stash a little in emergency savings, and possibly splurge on something, but if it’s not a top priority then you’ll never have money for it.
I do understand, however, sometimes there really is just no money for fresh/organic food. In that case, time can “buy” you health. Making your own bread or pasta is so cheap. I make a huge batch of pizza dough every couple months. It takes a good part of the day with rising, but then I make little balls and freeze them. It’s soooooo inexpensive to take a ball out the day before, slap some tomato sauce, veggies and a little cheese (or no cheese), and in the oven for 10 minutes.
Growing some basic organic veggies like tomatoes and lettuces are easy. I’ve done some pretty elaborate gardens on a tiny balcony.
I save so much money, and avoid sooooo many chemicals, by making my own dishwasher and laundry detergent. It’s also very easy. I’ve learned to make soap, and I never have to buy chemical-laden body wash again.
It seems like a ton of work, but there are things I sacrifice so that I can put that money toward food for me and my pets. Again, I have made it my #1 priority, and it doesn’t feel like a chore making this stuff. I put in the time to save the money.

I can eat whole food plant based diet on less than $5 a day. Plenty of YT videos that demonstrate this.

it doesn't take that much time to steam or boil vegetables and boil or fry eggs. leafy greens like kale and most fresh fruits don't have to be cooked at all. if we are comparing microwaving to cooking, then i could see a difference in cooking times with processed vs non processed. regarding price, what daily processed foods are we talking about? i guess a person could get by with a bowl of cereal, a bag of chips, a couple of sandwiches, and a cup of ramen, but how much will it end up costing them?

(On Friday of February 3, 2023). On the Matter of Carcinogenic Foods and Neoplasia Malignancy Thereof: 1) Insulin, PI3K, but everything once Normal or Homeostatic (Cytokines, Transcription Factors [TFs]), Translation Process and Proteins Product (Both in Process and in Quality of Protein Thereafter), is Dysregulated because the astounding idea of Nucleic Acid (Information storage and Replication Functions) is that it is congruent with the Law of The Universe (Cause and Effect; Newtown's Third Law of Motion) or the Irreversible Entropy, my personal understanding herein (The Disorder Increases Proportionate to the Number of Actions Taken; or Secondly, as Energy Consumption Increases And Inversely Proportionate as Simplicity Increases [KISS makes Sense anyway]); 2) Pathology Increases as the number of Actions Increase (i.e. Years of Life, Traumatic Events in Life, Etcetera); 3) Carcinogenic Foods of Modernity: a) Trans fats/Saturated Fats (Dyslipidemia Excesses and Genetics), b) Sugar (Sucrose Manufacturing [Technology of Production] and Consumption), c) Proteins: If the Cattle, Poultry industry has Injected Hormones or other Anabolics and are specifically GMO-Dependent, then by definition and Biochemical Understanding, this makes the Consumer a GMO Entity (never forget the mantra of Goya: you are what you EAT). Protein Synthesis has been modified with all GMO Speciation, understandably; d) Carbohydrates, needless to say, are subject to the same forces. It is unnatural to have such amounts and qualities of Starches or Carbohydrates in General. Biosynthetically, Insulin is just unavailable for such Quantities; or Could there be any equal Recombinant Therapeutics due to a matter of Intelligence (Yea, there is recombinant DNA Technology for everything the body Naturally makes just like there is for Insulin); but where is the concomitant Gastrin, Catecholamines, the Counter-Regulative Epinephrine Thereafter Etcetera; Just on One Factor, let us say salt consumption or sugar violates every sense, notion, law of Decency, Simplicity, Humility and the Like, for there is no Equal Action, the Reaction, to Such an unsound Action, let alone with all the other known excesses. There is no doctor, philosopher or Professional that can mend Matters of Intelligence. Never! These current GMOs are beyond mending. If This World is a synergistic product of the Pillaging and Plundering of So-called World War II, then the Action to Chance (if it so fits you bill) the Current Situation (irrespective of Topic Matter, health or politics) is to mount an Equal and Opposite Reaction (The Action to BE), at a bare Minimum. However, we know that the Brutes (so-called Public Servants, the acolytes of the Elites) have always used inordinate and Overwhelming Forces, so these must Be similarly and Categorically Overruled by Exponentially Annihilating Forces Therein, STAT. MD Mike Hansen, wir muessen gehen vorwarts und niemal vergessen ruckwarts im Reichtum und Recht nicht ist. Heil!
