Wet wipes bro, won’t leave home without them! Love the QAD Exodus heads. Was an Iron Will guy for a few years but the QAD Heads are easy to tune and penetrate every bit as well as as an Iron Will. Just ordered the Sevr 1.5s to tinker with as well. Never hurts to have quality options. The SG Chilkoot 15 degree bag is great. As mentioned, the cut is great for those looking for more room similar to the Western Mountaineering Terralite.
Thank you Chris Great Job on the video work also great information. Your a Midwest Guy we are a pretty hearty bunch people in the cold Weather God's Blessings
I don’t get the hate for wet wipes! Even after years of having my butt conditioned by 200 grit toilet paper from the military I still appreciate a good wet wipe. Especially during September when my guts get wrecked by camp food!
I only bring out two sets of underwear into the field in a backpack. Boxers and under armour compression shorts. I keep the boxers on unless I get chafing then I switch to the compression shorts. Dude wipes or an equivalent size of packaging for wiping the booty/"bathing" because they hold together better than TP, I need fewer, they take up less space, and are more multipurpose
Hi Ryan! Chris here: I don't have problems using GOHUNT maps, even while wearing the harness. If you are having issues, please send us an email at reachus@GOHUNT.com and someone from our team can help you out.
@@GOHUNT Thank you for the response Chris. I am not having issues. I am thinking of purchasing the Marsupial bino harness w/ magnets. I have heard some reviews that said the magnet messed with there navigation system. Thanks again
dang. you have the same set up as I do. have you ever considered running your pins at 25, 35 and 40. I always ran my single at 25 because you are good at 10 yards and 30 is good too. seems like you have a lot more drop between 35 and 40. just an idea.
Question on the sleeping pad, do you use a pump sack to inflate it or just your breath? I’ve heard that using your breath to inflate will cause condensation in the pad and won’t last as long. Thoughts on that?
That's a great question, it's possible that a pump helps in the long run, but in most cases, blowing up the pad seems to do just fine in terms of holding air. We passed this along to Trail for some additional feedback... "I've only ever used just my breath. It takes a few minutes but works fine and the two Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Xlite pads have been blown up and deflated 100's of times over the past 7 years I've owned them. I've never had an issue other than one small slit which was my fault and was repaired with some silicone seam seal and I'm still using that pad today. I'll be using it Fri and Sat nights this weekend in fact." Hope this helps you out!
I have an idea... say stone glacier again.............................................................should have been called Stone glacier commercial.
"I'm a drops guy" "I know I'm a sicko... one pair of undees the whole trip" LOL Neville must make the hunt grind so much more tolerable.
Why are you switching ti stone glacier? Pros and cons compared to the first lite gear and kuiu you have used in the past?

How are you liking the Mammut's? How is the toe box volume? I need a decent amount of toe volume for my left foot.
This guy is the best

do you ever have overall pack weights for what you carry?
Great video Chris. Do you ever have issues using Go Hunt maps on your phone, while wearing the Marsupial bino harness with magnets?

Which pack are you using?
Wet wipes replaced tp for me.
Gotta take the whole TP roll

@@GOHUNT Awesome thank you!
Great list! I’m also using the SEVR 1.5 this year.
Right on! Thanks for watching!
So how did your new boots hold up to the elk hunt? What did you like and not like about them?
Bro, one pair of drawers? A few ounces of weight. At least do it for your buddy your hunting with.
I have an idea... say stone glacier again.............................................................should have been called Stone glacier commercial.
A lot of single guys at Go Hunt. You can’t afford to have a family with all the gear these guys have.
You smoking that shit you think I’m going without coffee
