- According to some people in media and politics, religious conversions in India has become one of the biggest problems in the country. I explain the latest survey on religion in India done by Pew Research Centre to show the reality of this. The survey reveals extensive religious tolerance and harmony within the people of the country yet people are somehow apprehensive about inter-religious marriages.

I studied in a Christian school till 12 and there is a sir named John sir but the shocking thing is he was Jagdeep Singh before converting to John .the school asked him to convert into Christian for increase in salary .🙏

@@yumitmorwal no they aren't but still around half of them are forced as you can see yourself the new raised voices of those , and these are only the known figure and it's still too much if you see and most of them can't be revealed if they are forced due to hesitation or fear

Look at the last decade what nationalism and secularism has done to the world I'm a human first and I have certain beliefs in the top of hierarchy. In terms of criminal law it's applied for everyone same but civil law is complicated and it takes religious fredom of expression from the individual

If poverty has something to do with birth rate then it should have been reflected to every religion and not specifically Muslims whose population growth rate is 25% against other religions whose population growth rate is around 15%
@Patrick Dear, if Muslims who are the second majority community in India, still the poorest in India then they have to blame themselves only. It means that this community only focussed to increase their population in India without giving themselves better quality of life. Even minorities in India have better quality of life than them. And also the Hindus have better quality of life.
India being a "secular" country gives every religion equal opportunity to grow. If only one religion have problem then that is not due to the policy of government. That is because this community just want to become the largest population in India
@Patrick it seems to me that you don't like truth. First of all Muslims are not minorities. If you say 20% of a population minor then you are heavily influenced by politics. Secondly being scattered all over India is a good thing for a community as they will also be involved with the society and not make their own separate lands. Similarly Hindus are also available all over India.
Thirdly I am not saying that they choose poverty, I am saying that some of their higher authorities religion people have dreams to overcome Hindus in the population. That is why those people became hurdle in the upbringing of this community and poverty is seen very much there. Those Muslims who don't come in the influence of these Maulana are comming out of poverty. Lastly don't compare Singapur with India as they differ in many ways. Like Singapur is a port only but India is huge land of different geography.

Well according to hindu scriptures, you can only marry within the same relegion and also the caste...
Brahmins should not marry with their same gotra, and outside with non brahmin caste. They are free to marry other brahmins(like Iyer, Nagar, Saryuparin, Utkal), and brahmins of other regions (states), completely freely While should not do so with people of other caste.
