    Looks a lot like an SVHS tape played back on a standard VHS deck. Is it a Hi8 tape? Maybe they tried playing it in a standard Video8 camera?

    Reasonable capture cards and quality players are essential tools. Saving on maintenance or not wanting to lose money is wrong. If I had received such a bad copy, I would prefer to have my money back. It doesn't have to be something of extreme quality, but it should be able to deliver a good, clean and sharp result.

    I’m not sure if they can be reported for bad practice e.g. similar to Trading Standards in the uk
