A very large 28-34 inch tree fell in my front yard 2 weeks back. Me and a friend bucked the whole thing (about 40 feet) with a stock 590 with a 24 inch bar and brand new chain. No problems whatsoever. I’m sure it woulda been faster with a monster saw but like I said had no problems at all. Cut like butter.
It was ok at the start of the log cos it was only cutting half but once it got down a bit it had the whole diameter to cut and the motor was clearly struggling. It cut it ok but long term it would burn out the motor.

Liked because shows actual time it takes , 590 will do it just not very fast .
24 is the most id go with this saw. Prob even run skipnon the 24
I think my MS250 with 24in Cannon Super Mini bar and picco chain would smoke that saw. Be fun to race.:)

Ms 250 is a joke , purchased one in a pinch, would sell it for 100.00 cash, plastic stihls are worthless .
