it felt like this bro: The key symptoms of a muscle strain are: sudden pain that worsens while contracting the muscle, swelling and bruising, loss of strength and range of motion. People often report the sensation of pain as the feeling of being "stabbed." When muscle is initially injured, significant inflammation and swelling occurs.
@@HybridGym no monkey bar was after...it was when i sat Seated Row. but in the area with delt injury, and som swelling for a long time, before that injury..it was not heavy weight either..it was like a sudden knife stab.
I feel you, been there, and it's that area, upper mid back, maybe it's like something pinging off a connection, it's amazing how things don't go wrong more often. That's one reason I'm sceptical about a lot of Burpees, yes they blow upt he target muscles nicely, but what's then the effect on the balance of the whole system? So for instance last week, I did ten minutes or so of slow 'strange' pushups, I'd move a little, like a crawl or twist, then do a pushup, repeat, so no push is from the same angle or load. More like real world application
Yes, back to cold (8c) and rain today, so lucky to get that session in. I had a feeling it would be like that. Today I'm working on backward floor roll to squat, under control
@@reverendterminatoryes, it's bleak today, I went for two brief walks, but no training today outdoors. Could have done a Mudman session but not really in the mood. I think it's worse motivation as it's got cold after being recently warmer, so feels colder than it is
1:00 those pistols are always realy solid by you👌 i need to work more o that but are a bit limited by my ankle mobility and those ring shoulder stance are crazy hard cool!😎🐸
You know what, of all the moves pistols came easiest to me, handstand the hardest, I wonder if it's to do with limb length/levers, that kind of thing? Thanks for checking in Tjib 👍
Good direction for me, numbers and time. Appreciate the layout. The skills are progressing man, especially that shoulder stand. Thats a bunch of muscle ups when it's all said and done. Nice work HG!
Thanks Paul, I thought I'd replied before but ... Yes it's hard to know what numbers to shoot for. At the moment two in a row muscle ups are hard but.... Today it was a struggle, twos, then I imagined contracting between the two scapula, those upper back muscles, and with a more pronounced back arch pull before the transition, and yes, suddenly it was smoother and less effort again! That and squeezing the rings towards each other and keeping them as close to each other as possible, really help as cues
Be careful, your rear end might get bitten by a critter of the wild if you go any lower on the rings. Good stuff as usual. Keep marching forward in your fitness, health and wellness journey.
seated row yesterday - something happened in a muscle in the back ..like a strong bee sting..intens local pain...like a msucle knot was exploding....and now it is a burning sensation, in certain positions. never had something like this before.
Do you think it could be a torn muscle? Something to try maybe; rolling around on you back on the floor, see if the joints need a click, and then 'walking' on the floor using your scapula. Hope it improves soon 👍
I can try to demo it next time on the grass, it's meant to rain again tonight though.... Image crawling using just your elbows, N o legs, then turn over, so crawling facing the sky, that's it. It's helped me in the past with scapula pain, also the rolling around, sometimes it pops a facet joint or something in the back, maybe a slightly dislocated rib or spinal process?
@@HybridGym i tried it, it was good...very interesting movement, only i bumped my head in a dumbbell..... also - this muscle in the scapula is connected to the part in the triceps, that have had trouble for over a year, after i slept funny and woke up with the crushed triceps....so maybe this is the beginning of it getting better.

Arh, could be a few weeks to recover from? Did you do anything different? Was it after the monkey bar stuff?
