Loved them all but if I had to pick it would have to be the Purple. Great Job! Beautiful creations and you are a fun and informative host for all things delicious videos. Really nice job! And CONGRATES on hitting 2K subscribers
I loved watching your video. You are very very creative. I would love to try to make the eggs but I don’t think that I would be able to do the designs like you did again, thank you for the video loved it❤
Hi, Am a chocolate maker I have watched your video I believe the idea of chocolate egg design will be helpful to me as am looking forward to start designing them since we are heading in Easter seasons thank you
No it shouldn’t! And you want to peel it off halfway before it’s set. Not too fluid and not fully set or it’ll crack, peel it off just as it’s holding it’s shape
Thank you for your response. But my question was not about the masking tape but will the candy melt decor adhere to couverture chocolate once set up? I often find that candy melt decor does not stick to couverture chocolate. I believe your egg shell chocolate is also candy melt??
@@marilynnevison Oh sorry, I get what you're asking now! ☺ Now that I'm thinking about it...I don't actually thing I have mixed candy melts with couverture chocolate before. So sadly I can't answer your question. If I were doing this type of egg with couverture then I think what I'd do is either use colored white chocolate or cocoa butter! This would be really easy to recreate with cocoa butter, in fact, I may remake this video! :D
Thank You!! I will try to do a dinosaur egg for my 4yr old birthday. To make the silver splatter do you mix the dust with water or little alcohol (vodka). 🙈!! Can't remember!!
Oh how fun to do a dinosaur egg, what a cute idea! Yes, I love to mix my edible silver dust with lemon extract! But you can use vodka. Water won't dry as fast so high alcohol is best! And lemon SMELLLS GOOD! :D
Hello!I In chocolatier and have been making chocolate for over 40 years. You are not supposed to wash your molds in soap. And the tape you used is it food safety?
@@BrittneeKay I have washed mine in real hot water and dawn dish soap and rinse and use soft papers towels to hand dry mind and I agree everyone has there way they clean their candy molds
@@sherriristow3454 Totally agree, everybody has their own way for sure! I've seen no washing, soap washing, no soap washing, dishwasher...do what works for you! :)
Which egg technique and design is your favorite? Are you going to try one out? 🐣
I love all 3 designs. Thanks for posting
You're so welcome, thanks for watching!! :)
I love the spotted egg! So pretty with the silver splatter! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much!! :)
Love the silver splatter one most. Gonna make it this weekend with pink! 😇
Oh I hope you send me a picture of how it turns out!! :D
I love the first one Lavender it beautiful design
Thank you! 😊
Ah! I love them all! If I had to choose I would pick the white with the pastel design but seriously they are all so good!! ❤️
Thanks!! That one was so fun to make!

Aww thank you! Give it a try, you might surprise yourself! 🤩
I love how shiny they all are! My favorite is the purple one, it could be the color though! ☺️
Thanks! Yes sooo good when they’re shiny! I like that purple color as well!
Wow the second I will definitely be trying it is very detailed
Yay!

That's great to hear! Thanks for the comment! :)
Thanks for these details ! Super helpful
You're welcome, glad you liked it!!
I like the mini mallet
hehe me too...very fun to use! :D
Hi thank you so much for your video.
I don't understand😂 why are not you tempering the lavande and white chocolate 🤔
These are candy melts!
I like the whole egg, however is it possible to fill the egg before putting the two sides together? Or would that be complicated to have it stand up.
Yeah you for sure could! I would prop the bottom onto a clean towel so it doesn’t roll then load it up and glue the other side on!
Thank you it was fory assignment😘☺️
You're so welcome! :)
Will couverture chocolate adhere to the masking tape design egg where you have used candy melts for the design?

Great I look forward the new technique with Couveture@@BrittneeKay
Thanks so much for the tutorial! Would one layer also work?
You’re welcome! It depends, if it is pretty thick then one layer would work! As long as you candy see weak spots you should be ok!
Great. I’ll try it tomorrow as long as I find the molds at Johan Fabrics or any other craft store. I just want the egg easier to crack. Thanks again.
@@alfonsotenreiro9388 Of course! :)

@@BrittneeKay i just finished the dino egg it was a success! I think a bit hard to brake but not bad for my first ever!
@@karinacantu2495 Yay!! I'm so glad to hear that! Nice work!!
Which chocolate brand do you use
For candy melts I use Sweet Toothfairy brand from Michael’s, for compound I use Van Leer, and couverture I use Callebaut 🙂
should i temper the chockate first?
If you're using couverture chocolate you'll need to temper it, if you use candy melts or compound like I did here no need to temper!
@@BrittneeKay thank you
@@aviicar100 You're welcome!
I absolutely love this! Makes me wish I ordered the egg molds sooner 😫 there’s always next year
Thanks!! Ugh yes, they were so hard to come by this year I swear!!
You can still order them I just order one its made by Kaboom you can order from Michael's and other online stores you still have time to get one
That masking tape roll landed perfectly! Did you do that on the first try? 😃
Totally did!! 😄

I like to wash mine with really hot water and soap, though others maybe have different methods and that is ok. :)
