It's worth noting that all the women who reject Johnny are NEVER demonized by show or even Johnny himself. The show is aware of what it's doing. Its like It's always Sunny but for kids.
FYI everyone, jonny bravo aint no virgin, it is said that the show only shows his failures and that he had scored more than once, that's why in the episode of the island with beautiful women, he is spit by the volcano, because he isn't a virgin and also why he was concerned when they said virgin sacrifice
There was an episode where he inadvertently thwarted a jewel thief at every moment She couldn't physically overpower him, which is a rarity on the show as he's often folded in half and twisted into a pretzel, and trying to knock him out wouldn't work as his hair products cause his 'do to act like a natural helmet
I vaguely remember an episode where Johnny actually wins. He's with a female spy and he inadvertently helps her defeat the villain. She puts on some special lipstick and gives him a kiss then she's paralyzed due to the lipstick and Johnny said "I have that effect on women". Good for him😂
Johnny never gets to keep the girls he actually bags, though. If they're not wacky monsters-of-the-week they're spies or villainesses. He never succeeds onscreen with a normal lady iirc
His creator and the producers said it was the point. If they show scenes where Johnny succeeds with women, than it wouldn't be funny. It would just be sexual innuendos meant for Adult Swim. Hence, the reason Johnny keeps being rejected by other women and dealing with his failures along with his lack of awareness. They thought it would be much funnier to show his rejection.
Then there is the one with the wolf lady, I mean sure count it as furry bait but got screwed because she also turned into a guy that collects stamps.. really random. (Not as much as the time he dated a deer.. if my memory doesn't betray me)
I loved the episode where Bravo meets a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow and wishes for a bunch of chicks. The leprechaun grants his wish but the chicks were chickens. Lol. I thought that was clever
Fun Fact: the Atlanta Braves made a request to have Jonny Bravo be their team mascot, unfortunately they wear denied, as compromise Cartoon Network agreed to make him the mascot of Turner Field's kids play place, witch became sponsored by CN and called Tooner Field, the sponsorship ended in 2012 during a major renovation to the main plaza. and was replaced with a generic 'family fun zone'.
The overly confident egotistical man is always a funny character because internally, I think everyone wishes they were a lot more confident, while at the same time it pokes fun at the stupidity, which is pride and self glorification
I mean, yeah. If your definition of a gigachad is someone who's extremely stupid, wants to screw every woman in his path, and only has one friend and it's a child.
The "Incredible Shrinking Johnny" is my most fav episode ever everything from the beautiful witch shrinking Johnny , Johnny escaping the cop, Johnny escaping Suzy turning him to a doll, Johnny and Karl being chased by the giant Amoeba after returning to normal size and all everything was perfection, it is my no 1 recommendation for new viewers of Johnny Bravo.
Everyone says this, but I don’t see it because the show makes it obvious that the way Johnny acts towards women isn’t appropriate and he either gets called out on it, whupped for it, or in a lot of cases, both.
Why? Which part of the social climate do you think it would fail in? Most progressives I know have very fond memories of Johnny Bravo; he's like the original blueprint for the now popular himbo trope. He means well and when we look beneath the machismo he's a very nice and caring guy, but then he machismos it all up and ruins it for himself. The show pulls no punches in showing how his kind side would pull the ladies and the machismo is failing him. So do you think it's the red pill/old times were better times crowds who would hate this show?
I knew guys with this personality back in the day, they KNOW how they come across half the time and usually do it for the laughs. Notice how hes rarely angry and rarely lashes out (if ever)... I'd be friends with the guy 😂
I want to see this man as a fulfilled middle-aged man who has a beautiful trad-wife he is adamantly faithful to, and 2 daughters he is overprotective of.
The episode "Johnny Real Good" made me laugh as hard as any. I don't know why but every time the kid puts Johnny in the cornfield the banjo music cracked me up..
Johnny Bravo. Ed, Edd, Eddy. Cow&chicken. Dexters Laboratory. Simpsons. Jackie Chan Adventures. Courage the cowardly dog. Pokemon. Digimon. Yugioh. Flinstones. Scoobydoo. TMNT - and there are MANY, MANY more. I'm surprised I saw that many cartoons as a kid 😂😂😂😂😂
These weren't all the episodes but still a fantastic video. When I was a kid I always thought Johnny and Blasto the main character from the Ps1 video game were similar or related . Really wish we got a final episode where he settled down and had a family. Keep up the fantastic work
I seem to remember a few more episodes than that - like the one with the ambush makeover show hosted by Weird Al Yankovic, Don Knotts, and a superhero named The Blue Falcon; who was voiced by Gary Owens.
I think you missing an episode, the one where Johnny dreams of being a woman and he got to be in a womans shoes by being cat called having men come up to him with their cheesy pickup lines. I am sure that was an episode, right?

How do you make a show where a guy is constantly harassing women and still make it good? 1: make the protagonist an absolute but lovable idiot. 2: make sure every lady in the show is a professional, self-made worker, and a very intelligent person to counter the protagonist. 3: make sure he is beaten to a pulp in a cartoony stile whenever he tries anything overly macho. (But always make sure the chance for love is still there for him). 4: add clever lessons that even the idiot can understand by the end of it. 5: add really ridiculous scenarios to make sure you cant take anything of it seriously.
