The most comic accurate portrayal, aside from the origin. I hope in a future Batman movie they can go back to a Joker like this, with the joke props and gadgets.

This is what the Batman should be. A campy story made campy on purpose with a serious edge .. not this leaden serious new style that came out. This is the best version it’s the most authentic , and it accords best with the comic book writers vision.. by the way the original comic books were made by world war 2 veterans for CHILDREn

If there is one thing that will make you want to watch Batman 1989, it's Jack Nicholson's performance. He's the best part of the movie by far.
