Finally got this thing figured out after watching this video several times! The directions it came with doesn’t list ALL of the steps! Extremely frustrating! Just glad it’s over with! FYI, the plug that ours came with doesn’t fit! It’s too big! It will not go in. And our brackets were already bent.
I completed the full assembly of the hoop. The only thing I’m wondering is why the pole’s second screw from the bottom is just hanging freely and isn’t tight. Is there a meaning for this?

Yes, you can adjust the height of the system after it has been assembled. Here is a video that shows how to do that- th-cam.com/video/SNCUzIKncZ8/w-d-xo.html.
A couple things to fix on your video. The timestamps are not clickable in the description. Also at the 4:00 mark there is mention of a link in the description on how to fill the stand which is nowhere to be found. Here's how to fill the base: th-cam.com/video/PhKLC9ezzjU/w-d-xo.html
When did that other screw get put in? It just shows you screwing in the one with the knob and then screwing in the screw to the next poll, but there’s a piece of metal already in the second hole, by the ADS screw. And the directions I have doesn’t say to put in a 3rd screw.
And I’m talking about the first step….then you move on to the irreversible step! I’m terrified to proceed because you have a screw, or something in, that I don’t & your directions, and the directions I have, don’t say to do! The hole above the screw, on mine, is empty! What am I supposed to put there? Another ADS screw???????? ….extremely frustrated and annoyed!
If you can still see the slot from the bottom pole after the middle pole is seated completely on to it, it means that the poles are not seated all the way. If you're having trouble, I recommend contacting our customer service team. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).

Here's our TH-cam video that will show you how to do that specific step. th-cam.com/video/5RQtqU3GpNw/w-d-xo.html. Please make sure you refer to your manual for the amount of water or sand you will need.
This is a great question! "No Tools Required" is referring to the adjustment mechanism and how you don't need tools to adjust the height, but you do need tools for the actual build. There definitely can be some work to make this more clear. We'll be working on this. Thank you!
Step 2.9 is not that simple. Why wouldn’t a longer bolt work better here? The poles don’t align that perfectly. Unless you use some type of clamp, I don’t see a way of making this work. Advise?
These instructions are hilariously unhelpful. First of all, who named these pieces? Why not just “A” and “B” or “1” or “2”? Because ABW and AAT and AJM are hurting my brain. Then there is the “irreversible” step…Every commenter is complaining about Step 1.5 and the folks at Lifetime just can’t seem to explain what the hell is supposed to happen. Hint: a video where you read unclear instructions does not make the instructions more clear. Why are we putting a loose screw in the hole? Does it go into the slot?? What is “the hardware”??? Why are we banging the pole to “seed” the poles???? The reviews said the instructions are terrible. Trust the reviews. Do better, Lifetime.
Hi Rich, Thank you for your comment and your ideas on how we can improve the assembly process for this build. The reason we have you seat the poles together is so the poles do not separate while they are at use. The screw will go into the oblong slot. The slot is oblong to help easily identify the pole you need to use and how far you have to seat down so the system is at the correct height. We say that the screw can be loose due to that oblong slot. The screw, however, is still very essential to help the system stay together. I hope these answered your questions. If you need further explanation, feel free to reach out to our customer service team. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).
How do you get the ring to adjust in height. I've taken out the screw at the back but it won't got down. I'm sure it was meant to adjust to 80cm in height??
That should not be the case. Please reach out to our customer service team so we can see what is going on. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).
We do have an updated video and here is the link: th-cam.com/video/w5LR0f3xX4Q/w-d-xo.html. The main difference between these videos will be how the backboard is attached. Other than that, the assembly is the same.

The backboard on Our 90824 basketball hoop is starting to tilt/slant forward. How do we fix this?
Does regular basketballs fit?
Yes the basketball hoop is able to fit basketballs of anysize

Customer service also takes care of international customers. If you contact them they will still be able to help with assembly or with missing parts.

Yes! All of our basketball systems are adjustable.
My poles don't have those straight line grooves nor a small screw
Good video, lol but getting the rim attached with only one person is damn near impossible. Thank God for my wife!

do i really need to get all those tools or can i just use a regular screwdriver
To assure that the system is properly secured we do recommend using the hardware we've mentioned.
Can anyone tell me the max height for thos
Step 1.5 is still not clear because that first screw is still loose
It is normal for the screw freely. This will not effect the system security.
The middle pole needs to have the rounded edge exposed at the top. Why don’t you state that clearly?

Your first step was to fast
Do you sell those rims separately? Its a different mounting point than other hoops
Yes we do. You can purchase them through customer service. Just keep in mind our rims are only compatible with Lifetime system.

Step 1.5 is “irreversible” 😂
I fast forwarded past that 🤦♂️
This video is so complex.
Really struggling at the first step, seems like I’m not the only one! 🤦♂️
Stupid. Lifetime sent us one that already had the "irreversible step" done. I wonder if they're trying to steal a profit by reselling returned hoops.
