I could see an equalizer on the top left of the music player, you could have easily adjusted everything according to your taste with that. Plus, you should make sure that your phone volume isn't set to max when using aftermarket products. Lastly, you could have tweaked your phone's audio equalizer too.
Hello, the equalizer had no effect on the sound clipping as I explained in the video. No difference with phone audio lowered either. Would love to hear your experience with this product though! Unfortunately, you don't have any related videos on your channel.
I have the same system and encounter the same issues. wallpaper, vent not matching but the camera issue You have to turn on the cameras on and off on the settings, restart your car and it will show. the poor Bluetooth sound quality its due to the volume being too high on your phone lowered it to 70/75% and you will notice less distortion, also set your phone equalizer to normal,
Yeah I phrased it poorly, the cameras worked fine on my unit I was just lamenting the fact I couldn't use them because I was returning the unit.
You say it sound bad when going through Bluetooth. Can you just launch a music app on the unit itself? Like Spotify and it would sound good?
Also, what's the process of getting internet on the unit; do you always have to turn on hotspot or is there a smooth, seemless way for it to get internet from your phone? ( I know my Chrome book connects to my phone automatically)

I have a 2007 Land Cruiser and my only complaint is the backlight (is to Bright) and my airbag light which I already retrofit .
Those side plates you can get online same color as the radio,
My Bluetooth audio works great.

The sound quality was just too poor, couldn't listen to music like that :(
I am having all sorts of issues with my PX6 for 2003 Land Cruiser. Loud buzzing (even louder when the lights are on) and certain AC controls not working. Any help would be great, I'm not getting any answers from distributor.. UGH
All I could recommend is moving the speaker wires as far away from high-current stuff like power wires, amps, fans etc as possible. Someone else in these comments recommended changing the software. Hope this helps.
in general bt music is not good. Aptx helps, but still a cable is the better. I don't see why wouldn't you keep it charged all the time, it gives internet as well.
Wheew, I'm happy it's the main reason you return it. I'm thinking to get one for my rx400h.
How is the music quality if you play flac stocked on the device/through wire to your phone ? Do all speakers work ?

you should check out gx overland, he has a video that fixes the audio equalizer settings. he says on his video that it took a long time to figure out. don't know why the defaults are so terrible.

I added an aftermarket camera during the install because the factory camera does not work with this unit.

I have one from android and never had a problem you have to reset your Music to factory settings before you install I had mine put in at best buy maybe you should have yours done professionally
Were you using the RCA cables or other means to connect to the speakers? I think maybe that's what I was doing wrong.

You could have downloaded a car launcher and you would have a very good interface.
I have a 16” Tesla screen for my Toyota prado and it is very nice.
Can you elaborate what you mean when you say car launcher?

@@Turboactive all that stuff is customizable man lol. This is not a radio its a computer. You can customize ANYTHING! Hell in your settings you can change the brightness settings to "manual" then you can adjust them on your head unit. You didnt even bother going through all the settings lol Secondly why the F are you streaming audio from BT to an android had unit when you can launch all music apps from it directly? Thats the whole Fn point of an android unit. If you want to stream via BT go buy a pioneer lol.

I have the same style radio but for the Lexus GX470. The sound quality was ok but after some setting changes it sounded great.
There is another volume setting under the tab console. Mine was set too high that I can hear hissing sounds. I trun it down and now my max volume level is about 15. Before 8 was the max. I see yours was set at 24. That seems too high. Your BT sounds like distortion caused by high volume levels to the amp input. Maybe the volume level under the console setting is set too low.

Can you install an amp? Did you buy it from Phoenix Audio? And you can install the 360 camera? And dont you need to upgrade your speakers as well? Oh and why didnt you get the wireless carplay dongle?
7:30 for why I dont use Carplay. I have all stock sound system and it worked. Some people on forums say their sound quality is great I may have missed a setting or two. 3 cameras work, not 4 for 360 view

My exact thought. Others who have installed discuss the need to pre-set and post-set audio levels in order to resolve this issue. There are threads on ih8mud addressing the issue.

Faulty unit. Mine is fine. Compass, speedometers, bluetooth, cameras, WiFi, usb, navigation, climate control, apps etc. 2007 is250 auto. The setup was plug and play. Check that you hook up the correct wire to the obd2. Hope that you got a refund or replacement 👍
Good to know. I really wanted to keep it I will probably give it another try when/if the next version comes out.
Turboactive I bought mine last week on eBay. I fitted it myself but couldn’t get the speedometers to work. It was due to the obd2 interface not being connected 👍

Mine is still good, useful, stylish and I physically haven’t seen anyone else with it yet 👍
Too much information in that tablet. I think we need just gps with free updates , backup camera , music and thats it. If one more thing i like to add turn camers for blind spot.

It is easily changeable. I got mine to show exact land cruiser model. Need to email rhino radios for directions. Facebook messenger actually worked pretty well.

Did you get the harness for that amp? Usually when cars have premium radios you need to get the correct extra harness so it can use the amp properly. My camry needed one because it was jbl audio when I got a new head unit.

I hate how the user interface is so trash. They should allow communities to create their own themes and ui for the screen.
