    I ran a Komatsu 51 most of a summer/fall two years ago. A very nice machine. I enjoyed the A/C and heat options as temps and humidity changed. Thanks for sharing your repair strategies.

    Thank you for the explanation of the purge valve. I didn't know it was there on the gauge cluster until you pointed it out. I was curious about the fill line bound with air, but now I know!

    My hands hurt watching that knuckle buster. LOL You're lucky you still have those young hands, my hands would have been bleeding by now. Maybe one day you can build that bigger shop and get out of the Conex. That day will come with time. Great video Mike.

    I always take a picture of the gauges with my phone and compare to see if it stayed the same

    The belt looked like the grooves were a little checked. Maybe replace the belt while you’re at it? Should be nice and cool now though bro. 💪

      I have been running a belt on my daily driver at half width for over a year and it's still running strong. Lost 3 ribs of the belt, blew apart one day. Belts are over rated :) When you work on your own vehicles and equipment you can skip replacing bad parts until you actually have to replace them.

    Did you change the dryer should be done anytime you open a system

      Yeah I did with new expansion valve

  • @apollorobb
    @apollorobb 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    If youve had a Mechanical Compressor failure you really should flush the system to make sure there no particulate matter in it or it will destroy the new compressor .

    • @DIRT-BOSS
      @DIRT-BOSS  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It didn't seize up the filter was actually plugged which then caused the expansion valve to fail and make the compressor knock..

    Got to keep your brain cool, you never know when you will need to use it 😂🤦‍♂️
    Andersons' did well to get you on the same day, presume they would have a good idea on the problem, didn't sound like too much of a job for them 💪💪💪
    And now back on site.....😁

    Dude, these cold solder connection suck, you will have problems with them in a month or so.
    ALWAYS use butt connectors. All automotive connectors are joined mechanically. they are NEVER soldered on automotive applications. wrap them in marine heat shrink, it has an adhesive that seals the joints against moisture.
    The vibrations in that machine will kill the soldered joints very quickly.
