  • The Sudanese capital, Khartoum, looks like a war zone these days, as two generals and their armies fight for control of one country. Both are pushing their narratives on social media and jostling for command of the state-run airwaves.

    On our radar:
This past week marked the 75th anniversary of the creation of the state of Israel and, as producer Meenakshi Ravi explains, the words one European official chose to mark the occasion have drawn a furious backlash.
Racism and repression in Kais Saied’s Tunisia:
Producer Tariq Nafi reports on the xenophobic rhetoric of Tunisia’s president, Kais Saied, and the surge in violence it has triggered against the country’s Black community.

How a stupid decision by two dissilusined individuals can affect lives of millions of people! The Sudan farmer, or nurse, or doctor, or even police are totally oblivious of what the war is basically about. But people are dying, bottomline. Life has been interrupted (though it was already made hard)... I think Africa Union needs a strong authoritative army. When this kind of nonsense happens, the AU army steps in, takes charge until the warring factions grow some brain

Gen Hemetti felt insecure bcoz the govt in which he was the deputy of Gen. Burhan suggested to annex RSF in Army within 2 years where Gen Hemetti said this annexation is not possible in 2 years but it will take at least 10 more years to perfect annexation.... In fact Gen Hemetti needs a force to control his gold minefields located in the Darfur Region ......

This is a civil war. Surely so it is for African countries to demand the democracy in Sudan that the people's uprising was about. Russia invaded Ukraine. It is not a civil war within Ukraine. Since 2014 Russian soldiers and artillery and tanks have been in Ukraine to stir up the excuse for the full scale invasion of last year

Africa should have a standing force that is capable of arresting both men and whoever else feels brave. All countries in Africa can commit to this force. If they really want to fight, they should take their armies away from civilized people who just want to prosper. It’s sad that everyone’s life has to be interrupted by these two.

There is a distinct difference in the look of the South Sudan people and the Sudan people. No one wants to talk about the ethnic cleansing and demographic manipulation by the Arabs over the centuries. Most (at least those in charge) look Arab or Arab mix. Deja-vu in Arica once again , and to think that the largest UN mission is actually present in the country with a very large budget , but of course rendered useless when their is no security in place for its staff on the ground and when If ? the UN Is forced to intervein with example an intervention force , watch the UN security council rendered unfit for purpose as and when they call for a vote , with the usual suspect Russia veto , of course it is now common knowledge that the Russian preferred winner in all of this , is the RSF and their win, fully guarantees them their lucrative Gold contracts and Red Sea port for their military ships , and to ensure that happens Putin has his boots on the ground , aka the Wagner group , which means Putin will do all he can to keep out anyone who threatens his interests in Sudan ! will the international community allow that to happen ?

Just one suggestion, could be a solution to keep on dividing the country in North, East and West Sudan, as it is already South Sudan. Then Central Sudan will be a little country with less power and will face the risk of fighting with other army of each new country. This way instead of having 75,000 or more than 100.000 abandon the country as refugee you will have soldiers well trained with EU new fancy weapons, for exmple. Why I'm speaking this way? Because for war gevernments always find money but to help people ofcourse not. War is a business. With my method at least people will have a chance to die fighting for they land. This way EU and other developed countries will have their benefits without being part of that war. As usual. When education will have a shot?

I love how one minute with the Tunisia story you say people who disagree with you "shouldn't have a platform" and then later cry about freedom of speech as if you actually respect that principal. You're just mad a radical left authoritarian government isn't in control of Tunisia. Also, I respect the president of Tunisia. Tunisia for Tunisians.
