After sinking a lot of hours on Brutal Doom, I can say that I prefer this mod. It's somewhat better balanced and the upgrade system make it way more fun and rewarding.

Dunno, maybe its a canon event on the modern doomer lives? It takes a while to understand that BD is a bit too much, nashgore feels just fine. Also, I deeply dislike custom death animations fuckin' up arch-vile whole deal of respawning monsters, so there is that..

The Crucible itself is impressive, and the sprite work would make a Neo Geo proud. I'm curious if you know other mods featuring 3d weapons. I can think of some Quake 1 and 2 stuff, ZChasm, MetroidDreadnought, WOfl3d, HuntersMoon, VanillaDoom, BrutalDoom, I'm curious. I play a lot in vr and the sprites don't carry over, and I recognize i"m far too small a playerbase for the work to be made.,
