I think the key take-away from this interview is that while Don's stories and talent will be missed, I think the greatest absence will be his wisdom. So much terrific advice for writers and just people, in one hour.
Like his books, we'll simply have to turn to what content is already out there, to remind us of his brilliance and humility.

Matt, I couldn't've put it better. Such a solid dude!

@@TheThrillerZone Don's book tour brings him to Sarasota (never thought he'd come to Florida, but it's great he'll be here). I'm in Tampa, which is pretty close, and I'll definitely be heading down there to attend his event.

If there was one word I had to choose to describe Don Winslow books, it would be "AUTHENTIC".
I love learning the story of the author behind my favorite books. I'm sad that you're done giving me stories to escape in.
Thank you, Mr. Winslow! I have even a greater respect for you after hearing your journey.

You know how salesmen and real estate agents go to conferences in Vegas and get all hyped up before they go back home?
This was like that for me. (Sans blowing a couple thousand bucks at the strip club and blackjack table).
This is the best show you’ve ever done.

Halfway through city of ruins and it’s great. Not quite as good as the force and cartel series(10 out of 10s) but a very entertaining read. I hope he changes his mind
