    I’m a Game Art and Development student. The degree is graphic design heavy, for many reasons. This is the best video I’ve seen yet.

    Nice one Jesse! love that you drop videos on the reg. As designers we are always looking for that extra income stream and this has helped reaffirm some of my decisions with what different platforms to use. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks for making this! I’m still a student, but it’s nice hearing opinions as it is all too easy to just throw money into something and get nothing out of it.

    All in all a great video! For me Instagram is more than a side hustle, it’s pretty much what helped my find a platform that directed work to. All your inputs were awesome, specially the echo chamber with the NFTs and the repost pages. Looking forward to putting up more digital assets, prints and patreons!

      Much love Munish thanks for the kind words, yea I was torn on IG because it's the main thing for most people rather than a "Side Hustle" or "Passive Income"

    Great video! Can we take a moment to aknowledge that when you said the word "exposure" at 1:23, there was an exposure effect for a short second? That was genius.

    You talk a lot of sense, which is useful for designers and would be clients.

    100% agreed on Fiverr. Brings the value of our craft down significantly...
    How can you be expected to compete on price with someone charging $50 for a logo? Dilutes the market rate

    • @JesseNyberg
      @JesseNyberg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yuup most def, I don't like to complain about it too much, but It's def not the ideal creator-to-client relationship.

    Fiver was bringing in some good money but too much work and disconnect with the messaging system had too many scares were I almost don’t get paid cus fiver thinks I didn’t finish my work

    Nice work jesse. ATH blockchain is ridiculous with their gass fees like you said, but they aren't the only token to make nft projects. Im placing some bets on ADA nft projects coming soon.

    • @JesseNyberg
      @JesseNyberg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you mean ETH right? Also yea I've already seen a few others do it, I just know ethereum is kinda the industry standard right now.

    • @mrbard1
      @mrbard1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JesseNyberg yeah i meant ETH. Yeah ada is one to watch for as its nft projects will be low cost to mint. Definitely better than eth

    Crypto seems like it’s been such a double edged sword for digital artists. On one hand, it brought a lot of the legitimacy of the traditional art market to digital art and the profit potential, but I think it also rapidly increased the level of commodification. It also brought the problems of the traditional art market where pieces of questionable quality receive extremely overinflated value because it’s just being used as a means to store wealth.
    On top of those issues specific to our field, the volatility of the value of cryptocurrencies as a whole make it risky. Not to mention the environmental impact that popular currencies have had/continue to have. I don’t blame artists for trying to get their bag and untie their income from strictly client work, but it’s clearly unsustainable and in my opinion irreversibly stigmatized in it’s current form.

    just start trading and investing in crypto and forex then once you have enough capital you can open a small businesses or get into real estate that simple (depends on were you live find out what works best in your country and doesnt nessaseraly have to do anything with design)

    My problem is that for any career, if you need a "side hustle" your career/education failed you.
    Most of us can't manage a gajillion gears at once, after all.
