I quit alcohol a year ago because it was getting out of hand and definitely making my life miserable. That single decision prompted me to quit smoking weed, cut way down on processes sugar, eat healthier, drastically cut down caffeine, read more and exercise more than I ever thought in would, including running, and I i hate running, but i love forcing myself to do uncomfortable things now, it's like how i compensate for not going to my vices. If I binge on sugar, my motivation is totally derailed for days. I guess I'm allergic to junk food😅
Nice one mate - that's great to hear. I went the other way after quitting and couldn't put down the sugary food. I'm a lot better now, but still have the odd binge! Annoyed at myself afterwards, but they are becoming less frequent!
D-Day training I believe! There are two I think in Swinley Forest, Berkshire where I run. There are two I have found, but I think there are also some other training remnants around there that you can stumble across from time to time. This time of year is the best as it's not so overgrown.
I guess one of the big advantages of starting to run late in life is never falling into that bull***t trap of comparing yourself to others, and easily just avoiding Strava … I run just for me myself I!!! 🥰 Yep consistency = achieving running feats I never ever imagined possible !!
@@felixestrada8512 😂😆 always cracks me up when people in their thirties think it’s "late in life". Ian here has said the same!!😁 Happy running!!! 🙋🏻♀️
Alcohol jacks up my resting HR by about 10 beats which is a disturbing comment on how badly it stresses the body. Running and drinking just don’t mix. I’ll keep the running.

Amen brother on the alcohol ban. 10 months here and feel so much better. Interesting looking pill box at 6:20. Any idea on its context?

Comparison~its so mental and that’s what I’m trying to learn! Great video!
Thank you 🙂🙏 yep, I agree. Just try and compare yourself to where you were yesterday!
NOOOOOOOO! Don't make me give up the cats on trampolines 😢😢
Aside from that, you make some excellent points 😁👍🏻👍🏻
😂😂 just not everyday mate!
😂😂
…wait, there are videos of cats on trampolines?!?!?!?
And hamsters running against hairdryers...

I started late and still fell for all these traps. I'm getting better about it however.
@@felixestrada8512 😆 How late though?? I started at 57!
@@bev9708 fair...I was 34.

Yup! I do miss a beer from time to time, but not enough!
It's interesting....I cut back on Alcohol but I haven't given it up completely. But just cutting back has made me a better runner.
Yeah, it's a small thing but cutting back isn't going to do any harm at all 🙏
Awesome mate :)
Thanks 🙏🙂
