New Hamas Tactics: Suicide Bombings and Executions

- As the war in Gaza drags in, Hamas is becoming increasingly desperate and in turn, have made a few recent tactical changes. In the past few weeks we've seen the resumption of suicide attacks in Tel Aviv as well as the West Bank which has prompted increased Israeli operations in that area. We've also seen Hamas execute six hostages and then warn Israel that this is a new standard going forward. Both are incredibly risky options and suggest that Hamas feels like they have fewer ways out of their current situation.

There’s a reason people get so pissed off they blow themselves up just to kill the Jews.

@deltaghost1 The Zionist cause built a modern progressive democracy for the Jews in their historic homelands from which most were expelled during the time of Vespasian. This is not a bad thing, what was bad is that more effort and focus was not put into resolving differences with the Palestinians and Arab and Muslim neighbors. While things are bleak currently, one thing that many forget in all the hatred and death is that these people are genetic cousins, some would even say brothers and sisters, separated only by religion and time. They did conduct hundreds of such attacks against civilians, at the height (around 2002) they sent about 10 suicide bombers every week, but after it did not yield any positive results for them for a few years, they gradually phased it out.

Am just wondering, why no one bring the Algezira network to justice? How come it is allowed to put videos and pictures of hostages while Hamas murdered them? The Algezira Arabic specialy it is very disturbing what is happening to the hostages.
The issue with this kind of tactics is that they only work to put fear in your enemy, if you enemy is already scare of you and you do this, then you just give youe enemy a reason to treat you and your people like animals, is hard to say to Israel that they cannot torture prisoners if you know said torture would help avoid suicede bombings, and is hard to tell Israel not to execute prisoners if Hamas is excuting hostages.
People still will
to put fear in your enemy… so like to cause terror? What would you even call such a group that would do such a thing?
Israel does not care what anyone says about anything, anyway. Their prison and torture programs are aimed at breaking the people they kidnap. That is one of the ways they hope to blunt the resistance. And they talk of executing people to make room for more prisoners.
hamas did not have the practice of executin hostages until the idf killed 240 civilians while rescuing 4 hostages. At that point, hamas militants were ordered to kill their hostages if the idf comes nearby in an attempt to rescue the hostages. That move by the idf was a game changer.

True, they carried out many suicide bombings in their early days, but the numbers of attempts and successful bombings are way, way down since they announced a unilateral "truce" (tahadiya) in 2005. The new political bureau head, Mashaal, is now actively calling for a resumption of the old tactics.
Why did you just take down the Tim pool video I was in the middle of watching
I don't really understand the Israeli protestors. Hamas attacked civilian targets, took hostages, murdered prisoners, used every dirty trick in the book, and they're protesting....the Israeli government??? To make peace with Hamas?
I understand the basic political angles at play (or as much as an outsider can), but I don't get it emotionally.
Neither bro. I genuinely don’t understand how so many people also ignore the fact that Israel (as far as my understanding) has never publicly stated anything about actually wanted to delete all you know who, but the people they are fighting most definitely have said and regularly publicly state they want to kill all Jews. Really hard to wrap my head around that and what actually goes through peoples minds.
Is Israel just supposed to sit back and let their citizens be harmed otherwise they are evil? Like if that same scenario happened anywhere else in the world between two different nations nobody would be surprised that a retaliatory strike would be conducted and full blown war almost certainly following.
They are pro H____. Whether they realize it or not, the outcome their actions likely would yield mean it is in H____'s interest for the "protests" to continue and escalate. They are pro H____.
I think, they're for the release of the hostages , nothing more basically..
they don't even suggesting alternatives other than the realise of the hostages!and to renew the war on h...ass after the release.
Which is impossible,
And many hostages will remain captive regardless.
I don't think I understand it either, but I think they think they can get some of the hostages back alive. I suspect this is an unrealistic dream and would likely have bad consequences, but I can understand their desire.
Some people just want to see their friends and loved ones back at all costs and I really can't blame them for it.
Others believe a deal can be reached but Bibi is ruining the deals for political reasons.
But it seems like a lot of the population don't think a ceasefire will have good consequences bc of some conditions of the agreement regarding the amount of terrorists being released per each hostage and Hamas being still in power.
Also after what just happened, motivating hamas to threaten killing more hostages as a leverage is a real threat.

Thanks for the analysis. The truth is that a very significant amount of those protesters in Israel would not be protesting if the government was to their liking.
