As it should be Filmmaking is just that, filmmaking. A great film can be made in any Language, and any pretentious person shouldn't make you think otherwise.
Rockstar is Without a doubt, Imtiaz's hardest work till date, the most invested work, a scrip he worked on for about 6 years, dropped multiple times and continued again. There's no other film of his coming even close to as precisely he has made this one.
This is really great. I just wonder whether the director gives so much thoughts before shooting the scenes. they must be, I guess. but we, as audience, may not appreciate this consciously.
The directors who care about filmmaking do mostly. And we can't consciously always notice, but subconsciously we do if we invest the interest in the film.
conscious appreciation kicks in when with passing of time, audience starts becoming more aware, this pressurizes the filmmakers to create good cinema because now the informed audiences can call out their errors. informed audience, truly does, raise the bar for storytelling.
Rockstar is my favourite film from the contemporary Indian Film Scenario and I feel this was Imtiaz's best work so far. Was expecting a slightly elaborate analysis, especially after watching the Psychoanalysis of Dil Chahta Hai. All said, cheers to you, shine on!
The explication stretched in a lapse of four minutes attained the work of acquainting me with what I had been trying in vain to assess, let alone comprehend on my own since the last couple of days.
As soon as I saw a bollywood film thumbnail describing mise en scene, I clicked it right away. Thank you so much for analysing an Indian film, it's so rare!! And clearly an amazing depiction. Bring more to the channel. we need it man!!
So Rockstar released somewhat before Desi Boyz release, friends were so fad about Desi Boyz and called Rockstar a shit. I watched Rockstar and still watch it, this movie is a masterpiece 😘 how many people watch Desi Boyz now😂
You are a genius 🙌🙌.I'm an actor. I am learning acting everyday . And you have just changed my way of thinking about any situation, which I'm gonna play as character and while watching any film. This channel is very helpful.
Loved it. So many channels out there about Hollywood Films finally we have someone who is going to help the learning phased Film makers everything through Bollywood. Thank You.
Sir/Brother, you are doing a remarkable job. Being an insider I understand the need of such channels, which sadly is unavailable (barring a few like you). I recently become a subscriber and it is totally worth the time. Thank you for this...
I just saw a couple of your videos. I'm not a person who comments on youtube videos, but your videos led me to do so. Really applaud your work on movies and acting. The way you notice and elabroate the knitty gritty details of a particular scene is actually very intriguing. You just got a subscription from my side. Best of Luck.
Before this review, my dimensions were limited to just the rich musical inclination of the movie. Now, I have a totally different perspective to ponder upon. Thanks
Bro, a brilliant anaysis. I just want to point out one thing though, I could be wrong now. But do you remember, in the scenes depicted in Kun Faya Kun, Jordan is singing, and the Ustad happens to pass by and hear him. That is why the Ustad recognises him in the studio and decides to give him a chance. Not relevant to your analysis, which is quite brilliant, but just wanted to point out.
watching all of your videos back to back, your way of introspecting on the details and delving deep in the psyche of the characters even on the screenplay, cinematography, dialogues, clothes etc is a treat to discover the essence of the art form in the fullest..keep doing this great work brother
It's better to learn from this channel than my film institute. BTW I'm a film student studied Sound &TV eng. at Biju Patnaik Film & Television Institute of Odisha . Thnx sir for ur contribution to us.
You are best & you know the true value of scenes. This is my most favourite movie.....there is something in this effected me a lot. watched in nearly 500 times still I don't get bored. Nice work dude.....hopefully waiting for ur next video. Reserviour dogs, Kaminey, Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler, The aviator, Birdman, still much more especially love cinemstagrophy of wes Anderson movies.
This was an eye opener! can you analyse the cinematography of the song 'Khwaja mere Khwaja' from the film Jodha Akbar. it's by far the best music video I've ever seen!!
When I first saw a video from a TH-cam channel "Nerd Writer" which was on an animated movie "Akira", it blows my mind. After that I realize that it take so much effort to make a good film. And at that time I want to know these little technical things which a film maker use in his film, particularly in Bollywood because I know there are not many but a few good film makers. Thank you Cinema Beyond Entertainment, for providing these quality video for us!
Man, this is truly amazing. The analysis is 'touche', but the editing of this video is marvellous in its own way. Truly, this is a great work right here.
Honestly i never imagined so much thought goes into making a film......... Every scene it seems can tell a story in itself i hope you upload soon love your channel
Well i think that credit goes to man behind camera ANIL MEHTA,not only to IMTIAZ ALI... see the framing and use of light,in other films also which they worked together in,like high way & rockstar....and compare his other films...imitiaz is the same but dop is different and that makes a lot of visual difference. Anyways l like the work of tony which ur channel is inspired from, glad u started for hindi films and more than that ur material and content is not trying to be like him like lots of other channels these days...u have ur prep and r & d for that which is really appreciable... keep going man all the very best
The video is really beautiful and brings out some really interesting points to the table! I hope the channel reaches a wider audience. By far, this is one of the best TH-cam Channels I have discovered so far! Enjoyed and learnt from each and every video but this was totally different. Thanks a lot for analysing the film and educating us all about the detailing Ali has provided in his frames. It was truly delighting and enlightening.
Great video of course and as far as I know you are the first Indian youtuber who analysis Indian movies.I watch almost all youtuer who analysis cinema among them YMS is my favourite specially top best films of the year. You are doing very well and one thing I am disappointed with you is your youtube uploading, hope that will be solve in future.Great cheers
Great Analysis ! Just to add, props also plays an important role in visual storytelling. For example, in the first frame, we can see the tea cup and water on Jamil Khan's side showing he is more important in the company.
With just 3.7k likes on a video like this, vinit I think you are doing a right thing by shutting down this channel. We, your fans are going to miss your videos and your voice.
the world needs more of such endeavours that make the understanding of movies more accessible. Eager for your next upload. -disciple
