Nissan has made the Nissan 370Z for over ten years now. For me I think it's time to spice things up a bit in one of the most legendary automakers to build a new fun sports car, but in the meantime @fastlanedoug has brought us his 700HP Single turbo Nissan 370z to entertain us and enjoy the enormous amount of BOOST. I've never driven a single turbo Z and I have to day I was more than impressed with it's power band, how intense the noise is, and lack of traction on the side of a mountain road. This is a 100% giggle machine and it knows it. So is it worth doing a single turbo on your 370z? Let's go for a drive and find out! To make myself extremely clear. When I say “king of the Z’s” I mean the Nissan 370Z- as in the 370z is the best z they ever built. Not that one dudes car is better than another. Besides the car community shouldn’t be a clout measuring contest. Thanks everybody.

Yea, unfortunately, too many people don’t take to time to actually understand what people are actually saying (or know facts) before spouting off. This is a major shortcoming in society today. I knew what you said, and I disagreed - granted the Z32 is a different kind of animal and Nissan really hasn’t built anything like it since. As I mentioned, very interested to see what the Z35 turns out to be.

JYates89coupe Tbf his motor had a 100k miles on when he bought it. But 700 whp is still playing with fire for stock internals lol
@@megashocker333 no the real reason was that those twin turbos spooled way too fast and stressed put the rods because it was making way too much low end torque at one point it almost made 700 foot pounds of torque
Its all in the size of the turbo, how fast it'll spool, and especially the tune to protect the internals but also be quick af
@@rushking19 While that is true, it's not a good idea boosting an engine that wasn't built for it to begin with. If he had built the motor first, he wouldn't have had that failure. Just because Person A pushed XXX whp on stock internals, doesn't mean anybody can do it. Not every engine is the exact same.
@@megashocker333 not saying anyone can do it and that's not always true theres a lot of motors that you can safely boost that wasnt turbo in the first place you just have to know the limits of the motor ,company's usually build their motors even stronger then what they are ment for ,those motors can safely make 500 to 600whp on stock internals but like I said torque is what kills even on cars that are boosted from factory too much low end torque can kill a motor fast , adam was making way too much torque for that motor because people have been higher and last longer then him just saying it can be done but like you said not everyone cant do it it doesnt change the fact that theres limits and you should know those limits

Yea, apparently the one they’re already working to release. Whatever they call it, the 3.0L twin turbo. I’m hoping it tastefully stays with the Z heritage style, as rumored.

I just graduated from UWG out in Carrollton and every time I'm on the road headed to downtown I nearly have an accident starring at the sheer numbers of 350s, 370s, and 300zxs Z1 has in their complex as I pass by 🤤 Super cool to see some of their handiwork up close on the channel!!

Hey David, just a tip for when you drive the higher hp cars, if possible it's better to keep them for overcast days rather than sunny days cos the uv rays bring all the oil in the tarmac to the surface and makes it real slippery. Loved the video as always, can't wait to see what's next

I would love to see some exterior camera views when you're getting on throttle see I can see the rear getting loose as I hear the turbo hitting and the power subsequently jump. I feel like even an additional 45 seconds of exterior camera viewing would add SO MUCH to this video or future videos for that matter.

People talk so much shit about vq sound yet most people love the shit out of them. And Until you have driven a boosted vq you'll understand that shit is fun af. My G is at about 600 whp and its an absolute blast to drive. I cant wait to see how its going to be when its around 700+ soon.
I love it! It probably costs a bag of money and it doesn't even have the infotainment screen on the console. The "Nissan" badge is even removed. It's unique!

BMW Royal Doug is a great dude. I’ve gone to most of the night meets but I’m not a huge fan of the ones that do donuts in the middle of intersections/highways and what not near downtown. I’ve been asked by many to cover that but I don’t really endorse it when it’s usually around normal people on the street that could be in danger. Probably makes me sound old- but I’ve just seen a lot of people get hurt at meets like that.

The thing about vq37vhr is that the vvel can break if you give it boost from the lowrpm because it opens the intake valves as soon as you press full throttle so what people do is they give it boost in the higher rpms so the motor doesn't get hurt. Who ever tuned this thing did a great job

Pretty Nice nissan 370z. I wanted one really badly in high school, really liked the styling. Now that I know more about them though, I think I'd prefer to have something else. I just think they're priced a little too high for me to consider one.

Boosting a 370z is just pricy because of the upfront cost unlike Boltons where you can buy bits and pieces. Ultimately you’d end up spending roughly about the same about of money maybe a little bit less with a fbo tune setup but boosting the 370z via twin or single turbo is the way to go if you want big gains for your money. Anyway dope video bro!🤙🏾
