for apps that dont work, make a dummy C:\program files path, and place apps there with the usual folder name. then copy dll files, and it will work. also every portable app works fine.
i know that windowsPE is just micro$hit windows 10 but lightweight and running something like chrome on it is possible because chrome is in the hiren's boot cd which uses windowsPE but im still impressed
The problem is, WinPE (that's where the installer runs from) will reboot in 72 hours and erase everything to the start as it was because it is not intended to use as regular os (unless you installed programs not from win pe)
It's not really usable for a daily driver since it's really limited but you are able to install it. installing all the required software and drivers is a different story. A lot of them wont work. You can tweak the os by adding dlls and that might make it more usable. You can also bypass the 72 hour limit but I don't remember the way to do it.
@TheWindowsHero i just googled about this, theres a project Coreboot (aka LinuxBIOS) so prob your old msi motherboard had some version of LinuxBIOS (ig?)
@awethebird oh right, I'm realizing now 😅 I don't think it's a good idea if I have to make it myself, I'm not an experienced programmer but maybe some basic vb.net window will work fine in case I have to make it myself.
When did your editing get so GOOD?! I guess it's the 3k subs effect.
His editing is good, unlike mine cuz I literally have like 1-1,000 views on my channel
Very underrated, deserves more attention and even though im not into those videos like i used to but it gives me endermanch vibes. You got a like!❤
Your desktop so many apps wow, really the enderman from back in 2022. nice to see the basic windows iso running apps
A SECOND PART?! MAN THIS IS BEST!
Another Day, Another Banger Video
Next video: Installing a Desktop to the Windows Installer
Nice video bro ❤
Thank you!
@TheWindowsHero no problem
Nice Vid!

This is a video Windows by Joe would love!
You can open the modern app with aero basic theme
Interessing vid.
Reminds me of Hiren's Boot CD

I'm pretty sure I saw some custom pe's that included a tool to bypass that limit although I d not remember the exact tool...
hello, world
Pre-installed Environment.
Modern windows 3.1
nice video
Hello Windows Hero
Hello!
windows if it was a lightweight os. (ps could thia be made into an actual os to dowbload the img of?)

@TheWindowsHero oh lol ill js stick to arch linux 🔥
@Tropics09-o6d arch is a way better option then this!
@TheWindowsHero frfr
ah yes, time to use bios as a desktop os next. (possible?)
@@soyuz_underteil I remember that my old broken msi motherboard had a webbrowser in the bios so it might be possible!
@TheWindowsHero i just googled about this, theres a project Coreboot (aka LinuxBIOS) so prob your old msi motherboard had some version of LinuxBIOS (ig?)
@soyuz_underteil It had a standard bios from msi, I don't think it's a version of LinuxBios
Hmm can you try creating 3-party explorer for this becuse i dont think normal Explorer will work
@@zerowaq Actually, 7zip was the thirdy party explorer in this video which will probably be a better option then me creating an explorer myself.
@TheWindowsHero OP was probably asking about explore as the shell, not the window based app
@awethebird oh right, I'm realizing now 😅

Swap Windows 7 Sys32 into Windows 10 Sys32
Day:Idk
I don't think it would work, it would just be Windows 7 with some Windows 10 apps and Explorer
@osstuff123 yeah, I think you're right about that.
@TheWindowsHero .... ok i won't say anymore
Now try turning it to a usable OS 😂
ayyy, nice vid
Hi
Hi!
Bro linux better >>>>
@@Ekhamsi7 Not sure if you expected me to say this but I agree. Still, I like to mess around with Windows...
@TheWindowsHero I agree that Linux is better in many aspects, but Windows still has some things I use, like games or certain programs.
