Loved Cannon and Ball.Just collapsed laughing as soon as b came on the stage. Should have seen them in April, ironically the show was cancelled due to covid
I was a surly 17 year old teenager when they were first on telly. I certainly wasn't about to laugh at there 'stupid nonsense', I was too cool for that. Wait for it....BUT! After 2 minutes I was laughing like a drain! They were so funny but also extremely silly. From that day I've been a fan. Saw them on tv recently being interviewed. Then heard them on 5-live. It seems wherever they go they bring fun, giggles, laughter thru tears of joy. Wonderful lads!

I loved them , Bobby and those braces. I was lucky to have seen them at Lakeside Surry. And we were able to go back stage and have drinks whilst they played pool. Thank you Bobby for making us laugh. God bless xxxx
Devon Blue I met bobby ball in the late 80s he was cracking every body up in Rochdale court he was making people in court brilliant lads he had a club in Rochdale called braces I'm not a drinker iv never been it to drinking. But I had a good laugh with bobby ball IL never forget day in Rochdale court are they still going in hope so. you probarbly dont realize it was a totally diffrent era back then. I remember in the 1980,s cannon and ball were HUGE in england but when you think about it england only had 3 t.v. channels so their shows on itv really captured the british peoples attention. Cannon and ball whould always play blackpool and do a summer season where they whould play at a pier theatre for 3 months solid and they whould constantly pack them out. These days peoples tastes are more sophisticated you should maybe watch a film called "the boys in blue" that was quite funny and filmed at the height of their popularity.
Awww, I'm still upset about Bobby. He was a lovely chap. I can see the love of performing in his eyes. He enjoyed making people laugh. He had a natural down to earth personality with a good northern sense of humour. I am still genuinely saddened at his passing. R.I.P. Bobby - I hope you up there having a few good laughs with God.
I come back many times a year to bring me back to happiness compared to the f****** world we live today. THanks guys for making me happy and sleeping well. God Bless.

There is some really skilled audience handling going on here. That point where they have that mock argument and Cannon yells at the audience to shut up . You can really feel the tension build as the audience becomes unsure about whether this is actually the act or not. Fascinating dynamics.
i have to say i am sad to hear of bobby balls passing but i do like seeing so many people getting back into his work and leaving comments about this immensley funny bloke.

In 1979 I was taken to see them in Chesterfield, I was 16. Tommy would have been 41 he's 82 now. Bobbies 6 years younger.
