@R Tim A certain irony that their later (smaller) shows were half comedy half Christian Gospel shows!!! They both became Christians. Not taking a sleight at all at them...just thought the comment was funny... you are right - I'm fed up with being preached to as well...just make me laugh.
Saw these for the 1st time at the cov apollo in 1981 the venue was packed, saw them 14 times in total and their act never changed at all, i liked the tv series they had on a saturday night, good times :-)
This is great. My brother was there at this recording and the atmosphere was gigantic - these 2 were at one time the biggest stars on television. Fact. I saw one of the other comments and can confirm it, Cannon and Ball were at a high professionally but an all time low on a personal level due to creative differences, management issues and huge animosity around lifestyles which brought them to the brink of collapse; they could hardly speak to each other and rehearsals were laced with arguments and walkouts. Glad they patched it up and continued

It is hard to describe how huge cannon and ball were in the 1980,s there were like rock stars.
