There is a guy on Etsy that makes a Benchmade pivot alignment tool. It works great aligning the blade and washers when you maintain an axis lock without taking it all apart.
If you want to make it easier to swap scales just take the show side scale(pivot screw side) off then put the new scale on. Then take the pivot out and swap the clip side. You won’t have to mess with the standoffs since they’ll be attached to the scale your already swapped.

Love the build...... you should think about taking the barrel spacers out of one of your other 535s and adding a pop of color to the back of that knife I think that would look amazing......and yes zach I took a bamboo skewer and cut it down to a inch and a half it fits in perfectly and doesn't mar the metal wood and metal is better than metal on metal lol anyway looks great buddy.
They look awesome I almost grabbed the same ones, but I ended up getting some Putnam Scales. I’m definitely going to grab a set of these now, before I wasn’t how good they fit. Now that I seen how good they worked out for you I’m all in for them. And the price of them is great 👍🏼
I love the milling on those Aimfront scales. That is one awesome looking Bugout! I'd honestly much rather have the Aimfront over the titanium scales. Plus it's really cool how they donate 10% to fallen Firefighters. Great video once again Zach.
Very nice just picked up a bugout with these scales today and it really makes the bugout an almost perfect edc knife in my opinion, is it just me or should the bugout have come with alluminium scales in the first place?
Nice review, appreciate seeing your assembly method too. Could you comment on how the scales feel in hand vs CF-elite/G10/Micarta scales? As well as how the anodizing has held up over time? I did notice the very clear notice on Aimfronts webpage that the scales will wear with usage and patina and I've yet to find anyone who's seen any significant wear. Thanks!
I’ve got a pair of the chevron on black, grey blade with a bronze axis lock, I went on Etsy and bought like… scales and colors and shit and now I just cycle them around on my minis and my regular bugout I’ve got enough pieces for a few really neat combos
I use vibertight the vc-3 its just meant for vibration and shock and its only thing i use now less chance of the locktight to leak into parts that you dont want it to go especially with guns and red dots but cant hurt for knifes aswell i use it for almost everything.
Love the aluminum scales the best but I think the bugout is what overpriced as it is. To add another $60+ (for me) just isn't worth it. The black on black does look awesome tho.

I have a pair of aim front Aluminum scales on a Bugout. They are very good!
Those scales look really nice . Aluminum should be a good light and strong choice .
