How could you not fall in love with Roscoe.
Willa interpreted Roscoe with excellence. First time I saw her beside Reacher it was almost comical, as if the casting agent made sure to find the smallest possible woman to be his love interest. As the show goes on, I forgot about the size difference of the two, as she nailed the role to perfection.
She's 1.65 m, that's a pretty average height
She rocks. I hope she is in every future Reacher series. She was fantastic.
Sadly since people have been saying it’s trying to stay true to the books, she might not be in any future series but I still hope she does

I appreciate the fact that they really did well with props and dress in this series. Willa Fitzgerald is a stunning actress, but they put her in the same, very real unflattering police uniform with the several pounds of real (or atleast real appearing) prop/equipment... and she absolutely owned that part.
Yeah it's always a blast to see strong, compelling, and interesting characters that DON'T look like anime characters or have Main Character Syndrome
It's always impressive to see a great character played by an unassuming, ordinary, or sometimes not even conventionally attractive actor. Willa Fitzgerald really sold us that she WAS this police officer in a small town being tossed in a situation that's way over her head.
I hope to good heavens that she is brought back with season two. The character was perfect...the right balance between glamour girl misfit onthe police force and unrealistic karate mistress. Ropscoe was justthe perfect blend...intheshower or not.
Y we talking about attractiveness ? That's a police uniform, she's a cop, that's it.

Bit late to the party with Reacher and have Never binge-watched a series ever, yet this was brilliant and I caught all 8 episodes in one sitting. I was riveted. Stellar casting all round but especially Reacher & Roscoe.
Conklin was exceptionally played by Willa Fitzgerald and The chemistry and dynamic between her and Ritchson is off the charts. Understand she probably won’t appear again, if staying true to the source material, but Fitzgerald absolutely nailed this role.
This was a sublime watch and I will probably watch again which I never normally do as I’m not a big TV guy.
Seen the first Jack Reacher movie with Cruise, but this absolutely walks all over it with regards to the Character.

Reacher was my first look at Willa Fitzgerald and I was really impressed! She is a terrific actor and deserving of her own series on Amazon Prime reprising her role of Roscoe!

My first look was in dare me a tv show my ex was into and it took me awhile to realize it. She is a awesome actress, and yes she made the show without her not her character but her it would not have been that great. Her and reachers relationship were better than some of the fight scenes for me.
She costars in Reacher. Why would she need or want her own show? A bird in the hand is success.

What an A class series. Didn't see in my life 2 badass main characters who were a girl and a guy, like Roscoe is a Tomb Raider type of badass character but she can be soft, and caring at the same time. Just amazing series with gold balance in the characters. I Really hope in season 2 Roscoe will be back.
Roscoe's most likely gonna be in season 2 although the action probably won't take place in the same city, i just hope the second season will be as good as the first

Love me some Roscoe!!! I'm an old guy--Roscoe is the best female part in media that I've seen in the last 50 years., maybe forever. Gonna miss Willa Fitzgerald. She nailed Roscoe. It's hard to say goodbye to such a unique and loveable character. I hope by some miracle the producers will reconsider and work her back into the story line.
See. This is how you write a strong female character. As a man. I can look up to her. She reminds me of the female characters I grew up in the 90s watch. From Xena to Buffy to many others and as a long time Reacher book reader. They nailed her well.
Her whaling on Teale (Bruce McGill) was the highlight of this reel! I laughed so hard when she did that!
No, the highlight would be her saying this line at 4:15 - 4:22.

I'm a fan of the books and the series. I know it's the nature of reacher that Roscoe can't be a repeating character. But Roscoe is such a great character in this, wouldn't mind if they bent that rule a bit

LOVE Roscoe! It was so nice to see a well written "Strong female character" for a change. I'm so tired of seeing women written as obnoxious Mary-Sues who are better than men at everything (Looking at you, Disney).
The "Jack Reacher" books by Lee Child are full of them. I really enjoy them, altho' I understand they're not everyone's cup o' tea. My wife [for example] really likes the show, but isn't into the books.

Roscoe is an awesome character. Too bad we won't see her in sequel seasons.
I dunno... there always seems to be this need to try to portray these women as "tougher than men." Someone tries to kill her and she's not scared at all. Only a FOOL is not scared after something like that. And unless you are Bruce Lee's twin sister, a woman who weighs 120 lbs. is not going to be able to beat down and subdue a man who weighs 200+ lbs. (as she does in the show). This is just "magical thinking," and I believe the writers could create a realistic character who occasionally gets scared, and who can't beat up any number of larger, stronger, male criminals whenever it's needed. It would be interesting to see a female character played with a little more reality in regard.
They’re probably gonna make room for characters like Neagley and Molly Beth, if they plan to do prequels or sequels.
Too bad she won't be returning in season 2. She will be missed

@@nssteja7516 Not surprising, she was only in the first book after all. However, the author has allowed a few people to spin off series using Reacher's name. One of them is Hunting Reacher, I think.
And in one of the books, the law enforcement hunting Reacher, speaks to Roscoe and finds out she gave birth to Reachers child.
Season 2 will be another book and another (probably) blonde

The female cast was great in this. None were wimpy little girls in need of constant saving but they also didn't need to belittle the male cast to feel strong. Hope season 2 will follow suit.
Not to mention that everything wasn’t just given to them. They earned it.
Well... to be fair Fabian Roscoe did belittle Reacher a bit in the beginning before they got to know each other.
Yeah, but how realistic is that? To have no weak female characters? There are quite a few weak male characters.
If everyone is strong, independent, and wholesome, what is the point?
Anyway, the Reacher series has lots of strong female characters. Roscoe, however, is not one of them according to the books. She's great, but not exactly strong.
But being the first series adaptation, the female lead has to be strong, I guess.

Tiny, but he isnt towering at all above her. Not more than any other full grown man. So either the actress is quite long for a woman, or he is essentially not much bigger than Cruise. (whom is a rather shortish man as we all know )
Willa Fitzgerald who played the officer Roscoe stands only 5'.3" tall, as compared to his full one foot taller co-star Mr. Alan Ritchson (Reacher) who stands a legit 6'.3" scale, although the reacher guy in the books stands tall at menacing 6'.5", so I believe they both were given lifts to wear in their shoes to stand a bit taller than their natural stature.

Definitely one of my absolute favourite Southern gals of all time, the show wouldn't have been near as good without Willa as Roscoe 💖.

Yep, I developed a crush right away. She nailed the part. I hate that she won’t be in season 2. She is beautiful as well. The casting on this for everyone was really great. I binged the whole thing in one day. I had planned to watch one or two episodes lol.

Once my car broke down with a blown head gasket on Route 17 in Roscoe New York a plave famous for great fly-fishing. This Roscoe has really great looking legs! And she is a total badass.
I know Roscoe may not appear too much more in Reacher.... but how about a Roscoe series?!?! Willa Fitzgerald is awesome as Roscoe, she help make Reacher and very much could hold down her own show easily....

The scene where E Unum Pluribus is said, which is Out of One Many, is actually backwards. It's E Pluribus Unum, and it's present on the American Coat of Arms, which makes sense why Roscoe would know what that Latin phrase meant. I love this show. I watched the whole series on repeat more than any other series in my life.

I was going to say that I would gladly watch actress Willa Fitzgerald play Roscoe in her own action series but other commenters below beat me to saying it. Just an action series about Roscoe being a cop not to sure about her being a mayor. Roscoe/Willa has some great dimples to go along with that tough speaking mouth of hers.
