Roscoe was an amazing character, played so well. A shame we had to say goodbye. I will be looking out for Willa Fitzgerald in other shows as she was top notch.

The only times the same character cropped up were Neagley, Garber's daughter, and Major Susan Turner - his successor in the 110th MP. Contrary to what some say, IMHO you /can't/ just read the books in any order. For example some are before he left the army, some are before his brother Joe died, a couple are contiguous and /should/ be read in order to make sense (for example he heard Turner's voice on the phone and wanted to meet her, so he couldn't logically meet her and /then/ hear her voice and want to meet her).
Nothing is “rare these days”, except the endless nostalgia some authoritarian-leaning Americans have for “the good old days”! That kind thinking brought us Trump.

Will seasons 2 come out?
After seeing the Prime version I’ll never understand why they made two Reacher movies with Tom Cruise. Alan Ritchson as Reacher fits the author’s depiction of the character far better than Cruise. The books clearly point out that Reacher is 6’5” compared to Tom Cruise at 5’7”, and I’m being generous! I’m not up to date with the book series, but I’d love to see Roscoe re-emerge in other movies. Creative license please!

Would like to see Roscoe join Reacher in other cases. Like a dynamic duo. A cast ensemble can be more interesting than solo. New actors with chemistry can be harder to find. Already emotionally involved with current cast, why try to reinvent the wheel. Really enjoyed first season, kudos to you.
Nature of the beast. Reacher as a show is good because it follows the book pretty well, most of the plot beats are there. Personally I hope they keep it true to the books - eg I don't want Neegly coming back every season. She's in a few of the books, but she's not in Killing Floor, which season 1 is based on. It works in this case because it introduces the audience to Neegly in advance of season 2 (which is based on Bad Luck & Trouble, which Neely IS in). But I kinda hope they keep the whole "Stranger in town" sort of vibe. Reacher's a drifter.
keeping the cast the same would be reinventing the wheel. The basic premise of Reacher is that he's a nomad.
The biggest problem with reprising characters is /all/ the actors have to be available at the same time. Much easier (and authentic to the books anyway) to have only Reacher stay the same with very occasional exceptions.

Roscoe is gorgeous. She is rocking that girl-next-door look really hard. Her black sweater and light blue jeans remind me of Jennifer Jason Leigh in Rush, and even her hair looks the same. You have to be out of your mind to leave a girl like that behind.
They had really good chemistry.

Can't wait for season 2 which will be based on his book "Bad Luck and Trouble". Alan is much closer to the actual character from the books than Tom Cruise. Cruise was good, but Alan Richson is perfect.
Have to agree about Alan but the two Tom Cruise Reacher movies are, on their own, very good. Lee Child was fully supportive of Cruise in the roll and did quck cameos in them. I have the 4K releases of both of them and have watched them numerous times. They hold up very well.
look, you may think Alan portrayal is great because he fits physically better, but i cant feel fear from Alan
while Tom may look like a midget, but he puts fear in those two movies

I don't know why people seem to be obsessed with Roscoe and Reacher. Reacher is always 'Gone tomorrow', he leaves everyone in his wake. If you read the books, this is what he does and the only recurring character is Neagly. If Amazon are true to the books we will not see Roscoe again and that's a good thing because anyone who cares about him could potentially be in danger.
So it's a good thing that this is a TV show. It's an adaptation of the book, so they can go anywhere they want with it? Who says it has to be a direct retelling of the books?
@@MISSYGful Technically no because Lee Child, the author of the series is one of the executive producers so I would imagine there wouldn't be a lot of leeway in terms of changing the storylines of the adaptations. I haven't read Killing Floor in along time but the series was extremely similar to the novel it was based off.
Knowing why we are obsessed with Roscoe and Reacher is simple: they're amazing together. That it violates the books is a completely different matter. I know that she and Finley cannot be part of season 2 if they are to stay true to the books, but it doesn't take away loving these characters, how they interacted, and wanting more.
