Thanks for showing me this. It has allowed my washing machine to work now that I've cleaned the filter. After draining with the tube which I knew nothing about there was a piece of carpet thread that was stuck in it. I think you've just saved me a lot of hassle and money. Excellent.
Thank you mate, you saved our washing machine. All of a sudden the clothes were coming out with streaks of mud looking marks. Found a little rusty nail in it. Truly appreciated.
Our cycle would never finish,no draining and no spin, i live in hmo house so you can imagine what i found in the filter..mostly money, plastic, hair bands, mushed up paper etc..just followed your video and now in perfect working order.. Thanks !!!!
Until I watched this video I had no idea that my washing machine had a filter. Now that I have removed the two coins and the plastic dental floss stick from the filter my machine is not leaking anymore! Lol :-) Thank you
Thanks for this! Please can you tell me any possible reason why my filter which looks the same as this, but on a different Beko model, is stuck fast and can’t be unscrewed? I’ve tried anti clockwise and clockwise. I’ve just sprayed it with some WD40. My washing machine won’t finish any program. I have to turn it off to open the door, but there’s some dirty water that won’t run away, so my laundry stinks!
Just moved into a house which has this washing machine. However the grip to remove the filter is broke / snapped off. I’ve tried my best prising it open but it won’t budge. Any idea what I can do to open 😫
Thanks for the video. I always thought the whole world would pour out of the drain which is why I have never opened it. But after a leak I found a Bobby pin stuck in the drain motor. Now I know the only thing to come out of the drain is a dribble of water. Phew!!
Great video! Thanks for the steps including the rinse cycle - I first tried untwisting the cap last weekend. It was super stiff to open for the first time, and when I retightened it I found I couldn't make it anywhere near as tight again. I'll have to try the rinse step tomorrow as a test but just wondering what to do if I can't tighten the cap by hand sufficiently?
Hi, so do I have to force stop the rinse cycle like you did? .. (bear in mind on my machine the rinse cycle is showing 1 hour long.. and there are clothes in the machine) .. Or do I just leave it until it's done?
Another little tip would be to NOT open the filter all the way, or you'll need an ark! (just my little joke!). I did just that, and it got very messy! My filter and side pipe were both clear, so it could either be an internal broken part, or a drain hose blockage. As my machine was working perfectly till Friday, smart money's on an internal part, mainly down to other crazy stuff i'm seeing such as firstly sticking on the rinse cycle, then sticking on the wash cycle, and major over sudsing regardless of the amount of soap powder used. Bizarrely, it spins okay...but when the machine has been emptied of water and clothes...
I have put washing machine on. It's not drained all the water and clothes are still soaking wet. Washing machine now says end. So can I do these steps with my washing all still in the drum etc
Tried this worked a charm only issue when i was putting the sml hose back in place i pushed it a tad to far and it went in behind the panel at the front the hole is to small to get it back out there was bout 500ml of water came from nozzel clothes are coming out as normal as opposed to sopping wet so just remember not to push the hose part on the left to far back as you might have an issue trying to find it later
In the coin/filter department, mine looked empty.. Then if you look inside, and too the left there's a drainage hole, I had to stick my finger in, and wiggle about (use a glove can be smelly) I felt something spongy. So I had to put a very thin flat screw driver in to pull it out.. I had a small kids sock stuck. Pity I cannot add a photo to show you. Have a good look below on your knees inside guys. Easily missed
When I opened my filter about 20x more water came out flooding half my kitchen and the water wouldn’t stop! No warning to anyone that this could happen? I had to put the filter back on and turn my mains water off, then reopened the filter and after about 2 sinks worth of dirty washing machine water over my kitchen floor the water finally stopped. WARNING to others if you have a faulty machine (which you probably do that’s why your here) you will be recommended to check your filter but beware if your machine isn’t draining when you open your filter all the water will drain out there instead. (Due to a blockage in the washing machine waste pipe or even a blockage further down under your sink in the u bend trap, or pump is broke failing to pump the dirty waste water out)
Hi just wondering if you can give me any help / advice , I cleaned my w/m today like your video but when I put when I put the emergency hoose back it pulled up inside the machine any ideas on how to get it back? I can feel it with my finger but can't pull it back through
