    Its also about the "natural well waters" that every single house in kerala has, even before a house being built, they look for the best spot for the well and only after that spot or design of the house is located. So "Well water" also plays a vital role.

    The main reason is keralites wash their head in cold water everyday after applying coconut oil. it reduces heat in the body hence reducing hair fall. thats the reason for keralites to have good hair.

    Not every Malayali has thick hair. So, lets not generalize it. But, Long Thick hairs are a fascination to many here. A lot of it is due to the Climate, Food, Coconut Oil and Water - And Genetics as well. Luckily, most of the Villages ( except the Coastal belt ) has good well water. And, right from Childhood, most of us are made to Oil our hair on regular basis. I'm sure, more than 50 percent of the population has used many herbal means to take of their hair in one way or the other. ( I'm talking about the generation till late 90s and early 2000's )

      @@linda_soos I don't wash out oil completely, I like that little bit of oily feeling on my hair else my hair never sticks to my head. If it's a deep hair scalp massage with oil or so, I use Hibiscus Thali or Green Gram Powder. ( time consuming ). One can also use Kerala Matta Rice Water. It should be of the previous day's water. It acts as a good shampoo.

    My best friend is from Kerala she has such nice thick hair doesn’t even have a hair care routine. God gift seriously. But I feel many South Indians tend to not like North Indians why is it so? I love South Indian culture personally.

  • @msriram9884
    @msriram9884 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +294

    There are actually historical reasons for this. When northern India was attacked for centuries, a lot of people fled south. They fled south taking ancient texts with them. This is why you have ancient Sanskrit drama and mathematics also preserved in Kerala. So Kerala has actually preserved a lot of classical ancient Indian knowledge.
    Edit- for some of these comments to this statement I made, this above information I learned from a professor of history from Kerala who was researching how when people fled from North India to South India, they brought their texts with them. This may explain things like the plays of Bhasa being found in Kerala. This does not mean that there was no civilization in southern India prior to these events. We should just be grateful to Kerala for having preserved not only its traditions, but traditions from other parts of India as well.

    So whether it's our food habits , customs , clothing , culture in general is more authentic old indian ( bcz Delhi sultanate, Mughal or Britishers influence was lesser here - some exceptions like bahamani kings , nawabs of Hyderabad or tippu , very less compared to North india )

      It’s not about business always. Ayurveda is excellent for a holistic approach for healthcare. But it many-a-times, gives vague reasoning behind treatment. Like every generation, every method of treatment needs some form of evolution. Because problems faced wouldn’t have been the same, even 50 years ago. But the sample size for research and stats is low. As a doc, I’m ok with any form of alternate treatment, as long as it doesn’t do any harm to my patient and doesn’t interfere with my treatment.

    why are you guys creating a stereotype that all Malayalees have thick hair? most men in Kerala start to shed their hair in their early 20s and nearly become bald by their 30s.some men are exceptions. they have thick hair and hairline but in most states, this is the same. there is nothing special in Kerala. hair loss can be maintained by maintaining your body very well. There is no other thing.

    I live in Kerala viewing millions of Keralites, and I can confirm from a general visual inspection that they do not have healthy hair at all, if anything the vast majority of the population has lifeless hair, exponentially reducing density and loss of pigmentation (early signs of hair lightening), but I can attest to their great TEETH!. I have however come across billions of North Indians who have the best hair quality. Maybe the grass is actually greener on the other side, depending on where you stand. Btw, I am from Kerala and hence wanted to give an unbiased feedback. Either I am living an optical illusion or it is a total myth that keralites have good hair, when in reality they don’t! It is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. And it isn’t even the current generation I’m referring to. My grandma and all the other senior citizens have the same impact on the hair. I agree that the climate is great for maintaining moisture levels and promoting hair growth, however these attributes aren’t manifesting amongst the people around me. Maybe they are washing it every day, using commercial products (both frequency and quantity are variables), leaving the hair down all the time (which bombards your face if you stand behind them in a bus - super annoying😡), butchering the scalp microbiome etc., which all contribute to the unsophisticated hair quality despite the great climate and soil. Despite the Ayurvedic propaganda pledges, most people are sick here - just look at the flooded hospitals and the amount of organ transplants. People genuinely practising Ayurveda are ageing even faster, losing muscle, carrying excess flab! Clearly, the name only holds power - Ayurveda sells, but does it heal?! They mix jaggery in herbal remedies, sell liquids in plastic bottles, cook everything to destroy all the antioxidants, discourage the use of certain plants that are beneficial for several longevity biomarkers! It’s a manipulation of philosophy yielding no visible results. Prevention is the only cure - use food as your medicine rather than medicine as food, get up and move to pump that lymphatic system, do the massage yourself and build muscle rather than letting someone else touch you. Do your own research to uncover what is best to sustain life long term and show them what you got! Btw, this is just me advising myself with powerful affirmations. I apologise in advance if it sounds harsh - no hidden insults.

    Take away's:
    1. Kerala people hair = genetic + environment/desha whz. kappa predominant area.
    2. Invisible effects: "Prateksham he alpam, Aprateksham analpam". Whatever perceivable through senses, is very little, what is not perceivable to human is vast. Finding explanation for everything is not possible. Eg. we don't hear sound outside certain decibels.
    3. Rutu sandhi - period when 2 sessions meet. Body is more prone to diseases. Eg, rainy after summer. So our body should be prepared, so this purgative/shodhana treatment can be done to combat immunity issue.
    4. In lymphatic massage, also in ayurvedic massage, bringing all your body dosha's to costa [alimentary tract] & exiting them out of body.
    Thanks! Please watch video!

    Come on I saw Malayalis with bald heads, hair fall issues and alopecia, and more. We can't say all Kerala people have good hair. I saw people who use detergent soap to wash hair have more beautiful, strong, glossy, thick hair compared to people who do ayurvedic hair hacks. It all comes down to genetics, water and nutrition.

    • @_Infocars
      @_Infocars 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kerala has thick hair it is true. Having thick hair & baldness has no correlation. Baldness in men is caused due to excess of androgen hormone which kills the root of hair. It happens with every man at some point of time no matter from which country.
