They must have been collecting them and got a bunch of the same and no Annette! My mom said these girls were the biggest story of the year and continued to be big stars…they had dolls made after them, etc.
Hi Yvonne, just FYI, maybe someone already commented, but the spoons are part of a set, the Canadian borne Dionne Quintuplets were born on May 28, 1934 and they are the first quints to ever survive. I was born on May 28 too. Many years later 🤣. Their names are Emilie, Marie, Yvonne, Annette and Cecile. Spellings were sometimes Anglicized and I have a few items, including the spoons in my collection. They were exploited for profit and taken from their parents. Not the happiest of stories but interesting. Always love your videos! ♥️
I can’t even pick a favorite. They are all awesome. Sometimes I wonder how you can keep coming up with such great ideas. You are very talented. My Sundays are complete when I get to watch you create. I was off the internet for a while after my husband of nearly 50 years died this past January. I was in a fog and had no interest in TH-cam. But life is settling down and I enjoy seeing what you make.
I understand how you feel! My husband passed at just six weeks before our fiftieth anniversary this past October! Haven’t got a new normal yet! Love and comfort to you!
I love all your make overs. I live in the UK and there’s nothing here like it. I’ve been watching for a few months now and don’t miss any of your make overs. Keep up the good work. xxxxx
I love how you go step by step and really get into what your going to do and how you are prepping and why you are doing it that way.Thank You! Hugs to you and God Bless. Rebekah.
The hog was perfect for that tray. When you cut the tissue paper off the edges of the sheep, I said we're going to see that paper again. I just didn't know it would be so soon. As always, loved them all.
Those papers really make the items so unique. You have such a great eye for details, changing out the handles on that tray really made all the difference in it’s looks. Loved your haul.
Really liked that beautiful frame with the flag. That funny fat piggy tray and the 6 drawer cabinet were really special. Also. I so enjoy watching your videos and often marvel at your inspirations.
I’m a kid in a candy store when it comes to seeing a new video from you. I get so excited n stop whatever I’m doing sit down n enjoy what you have found at all your favorite places to go. Today you got some neat things. Can’t say which is a favorite as I loved everything you did with each piece. What a great idea you did with that little drawer cabinet. Changing the handles on that tray n adding the tissue decoupage on it gave it character. Speaking of tissue paper. I can’t wait for my Zazzle tissue paper to come in the mail. I even bought more yesterday LOL. It’s amazing what you can do with it. I’m so happy you didn’t paint that old stool. You just freshen it up some. I try to collect old stools. I usually find them at estate sales but I haven’t been so lucky since we hit the 2000 mark in years. I believe I have at least 5 of them that I found in 1993 up to 1998. After that I haven’t seen any. Such a bummer. Where I live in Florida (our town) doesn’t even have good thrift stores. Gosh, I can remember years ago we had them everywhere. There I go again rambling on LOL. Anyway I loved everything you did on all your goodies. You got a good eye. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍
Ashland is Michael's brand, I was supposed to be using my stash up but oh no you had to show us all the beautiful paper. So I have ordered some you have given me some wonderful ideas thank you.
What a FABULOUS group of items you have created Yvonne ! Love them all and that Flag with the white frame and wood back… gorgeous!! Perfect upcycle of those trays… and that PIG is right on that big tray! That was a grand find ! What a beautiful piece that tray is and those handles ….delicious! LOL! You don’t fine treasure like that often…only at garage or Estate sales ! Then the switching of the handles by removing the rope … on my !!!! Love !!! This was fabulous !!!! Another well done ! 🌻🌻💛💛🌻🌻
Goodness, goodness, everything was just perfect! Love the handle change you made, the cubbies, the flag was gorgeous! But that pig (hog I think, it is huge!) is my very favorite! I always learn something helpful when I watch you! Thanks for all your hard work!
It is a Japanese finish saw...used for sharp clean edges...and flush to your base. Great for crafting small wood projects... I suppose it's like everything else...everybody has their own name for things
Oh Yvonne, everything turned out so lovely. I appreciate your attention to detail and your explanations as you create each piece. The transfers you used were perfect for each piece and I’m thoroughly impressed with how nice you were able to get the transfers on the cabinet with the little drawers. Blessings! (I collect old Bibles, too, and I love reading the handwritten notes in them. It’s one of my joys! )
If I were nearby, I'd have snapped up those two trays. I wonder how long they'll last in your booth. I admit I wondered if you were going to 'hide' those drawers for ever or cut the decal afterward. Phew!
Yvonne, I just absolutely love watching how you and Chris transform pieces! I have always loved making over something but you have given me so much wonderful inspiration! Thank you for sharing your processes!
Everything turned out wonderful! I know you keep trying the salt technique for a distressed look. I watch this Canadian lady on her channel called “Our up cycled life”. She just did another video using the salt distress method today. Her video is only 8 minutes long but you would probably only have to watch the first four minutes to see if she is doing something different than the others you have watched. It always turns out for her! ❤️
Yvonne ot os so funny, I just did the sheep one a couple of weeks ago. and the IOD roses I put on a bunch of things And I did a tray kind of like yours and I did too with the paper you did a dresser in. . None have sold yet . let us know how they do.
Everything is beautiful. I love the teak cutting board. It is gorgeous! I also love the trays, especially the round one. You definitely do nice work. I do enjoy watching you rummage saling, and then doing makeovers.
I love galvanized! I want to recreate your outside plants in galvanized pails and pots. Wow! the bread board! That wood tray with the metal and the little tool wooden caddy you decoupaged are fantastic! The cubby drawer unit came out so nice! The framed flag is gorgeous! I love all of it!
Love all the wood trays especially the one you just switched the handles on! I absolutely love anything with a flag and the frame you refinished is beautiful! So enjoy your thrift hauls. Great video! 🤗
Another great haul. You got some awesome stuff. I loved everything you upcycled but I think my favourites are the trays. It’s always so hard to pick favourites but I have a thing for trays at the moment, so it was easy. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
Hi Yvonne! As for crafters never throwing anything away I hear ya😁. My art/craft room looks like a rummage sale. Great haul and even greater makeovers. My fingers were just itching to help you with them. Happy 4th!
That frame with the little flag was outstanding!!!! So cute.
Thank you
The spoons commemorate the Dionne Quintuplets, 5 girls, born in 1935 in Canada. They were famous!
Oh.. thank you for sharing that.. I didn’t know why there were names on spoons
Fascinating! And they named 3 of them the same??
@@bonnierainwater4484 That must have been fun being the same as a sister. “Yvonne did it.” Which one? 😂
Their names were , Émilie, Annette, Marie, Yvonne, & Cécile Dionne.
They must have been collecting them and got a bunch of the same and no Annette! My mom said these girls were the biggest story of the year and continued to be big stars…they had dolls made after them, etc.
Love every single one!
I busted out laughing when you said “Would you look at that pig” 😂
Lol.. thank you 🐷
