      I’m a gymnastics coach and this is an awful way to learn a back handspring. Especially if you’re a gymnast. Please just let your coach teach you

    How do you get from 3:08 to 3:19? I am stuck there, still jumping sideways even though it feels like jumping straight. My right leg still goes way too much to the left side which twists the body. I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks!

    I recently fractured my leg and hopefully this will help me regain my back hand spring.

    I wish I found this video when I was yet a little kid. I've always dream of executing the Back Handspring. I haven't found anything or anyone that could teach me, I got frustrated so I stopped. I wanted to join gymnastics and cheerleading but I felt I was not qualified. I felt so deprived.😢 Now I am 34 and I found this wonderful video. Thanks to the one who uploaded it. Now I am inspired to learn it again.😂

    As someone with a backhandspring already let me tell you some of these exercises/steps to this are scarier than the back handspring itself😂 but definitely make sure you’re comfortable with what you’re doing and just go for it confident!! If you’re completely confident and jump with power It’s highly unlikely anything bad will happen when you go for it :)

    Okay first of all this helped me alot...i have improved my back handspring...for thos who got injured,guy it is automatically that first you need to stretch before trying it...you cant just go and start. Next time..try stretching first so you'll not go'n get injurie's.

    While learning this, do take care to not overtrain a lot as you might injure a muscle or two of the dominant shoulder. I did.

    Your butt bounce hack helped me to get my trampoline backflip back, so i think you should make a similar video for back handspring. For example one can try to do a back handspring on the trampoline not from feet, but from butt or knees or from squat/haunches - to overcome fear, and once you succeed you can try it from standing. I'll try this hack in the trampoline park tomorrow, i'll try to focus though.

    I'm right handed but I can't imagine doing that on my right hand XD I also do cartwheel - left hand and leg first BUT I start the front walkover with my right leg....xDDD

      Dominant foot is more important than dominant hand. In low level competition (1-4) everything must be done on the same leg. Re-teaching back walkovers on the opposite leg is usually easier than perfecting an opposite side roundoff.

    How I knew I was doing this right: I was on my iPad so I could watch one part of the video then go out of the tab then get into the Camera app and take a video of myself doing that stuff to see if I did it right and then I would go back to the video but it worked very well for me and you were a good help
