Hi there! Thanks for watching this video, if you enjoyed it and would like to help me out to the make even more, you can help to fill out my bitzbox on BuyMeACoffee: www.buymeacoffee.com/petethewargamer
Definitely dark krakens, I probably mentioned this in an earlier video already, but some tyranid bits could pass as some deep sea creatures, maybe some almost traditional salamander scaled cloaks here and there. Also an aggressor head could be a fun take on a deep sea diving helmet, large with some heavier breathing devices. Either way I know that I will love what you make!!!
No that's definitely not a salamander thing and book burning sounds heretical plus word bearers symbols seems very fishy to me! Although that fishy smell could be coming from the Dark Krakens? lol
@@adog6495 successor chapters can differ from their parent chapter greatly, you know. They all don't have to conform to what the parent chapter thinks.
I love this one and like the fact they're not the word bearers lol I think you should do Dark Krakens next. You could use "DEAD, sea life?, BITS" with harpoons, tridents and other diving/underwater bits.
I'd love to see your take on the Black Vipers. If memory serves, one of their armour's colours is russet, or maroonish, which sits quite well with the fact that chapter was engineered by Cawl. It would be quite interesting to see how you tackle the idea of mixing sons of Vulkan with Admech :)
Loving the Salamanders love that's being done! And Dark Krakens next please! Maybe a conversion that uses Gravis Armor if possible since they're into tackling big game opponents/a large quantity of opponents?
Really enjoy your conversion video's. Its great inspiration on how to make space marines more chaptery. I was wondering, would you consider doing a kitbash on the Hounds of Morkai in the future, as a reiver kit with some space wolf accessories isn't particularly thematic.
Fantastic stuff as usual! I’d like to see Dark Kraken next please. I’m getting greedy here but would also like to see Warcry Catacombs Warbands painted :) Loved the original starter set Warbands you did. Quick and easy to follow along with great results. Still the best models of painted to this day with your guidance 🙏
I am just getting into the Hobby and decided to commit to the Black Vipers! I am making them all plasma lovers, kit-ed out with Mechanicus Tech. As they are very very mysterious, it makes sense that they have been created for a special secret mission by the Mechanicus (something to do with the necrons or the webway or repelling chaos). This is a mission that no outsiders have discovered and are still alive to talk about (reference to the Chaplain that was sent and disappeared. what do people think?
Dark Krakens as pirate-like marines would be neat; Im not super well versed in lore, but as far as I know there no Pirate Marines chapter, other than red corsairs who are chaos anyways
Yes I like the Priate idea for the Dark Krakens. Not sure how pete would pull it off with just one model coz the obvious choices are tyranid bits or sea life bits for oceanic theme.
Another great kitbash, can't wait to see the other 2 successor chapters. I would say that my vote on the next one would be dark krakens but I think they would be represented well by heavy intercessors but that kit hasn't been released yet and it should hopefully be out in a month or two.
Absolutely keen to see both of the remaining successor chapters - but the Krakens are a motif I've not seen among Astartes, so they've got my vote! Awesome conversions as usual.
Love your videos ! You made me come back into warhammer and i'm giving a try at converting marines inspired by your void scions. I have a question : Is there a good way to disassemble minis built with plastic glue ?
A lot of force and a sharp knife. The problem with plastic glue is that it melts the parts together. Whether you can break them apart again depends on how much glue was used. If you have easy access, you might be able to slip a blade into the seam and cut it free again. Basically, the answer is no, there isn't really a good way to disassemble parts bonded with plastic glue, unfortunately.
@@ASpooneyBard yeah feels that way... but i did manage to remove a shoulder pad (quite inaccessible) with heat, it seems to melt the plastic a bit and especially the glue but its a bit messy, pulling string, and you risk damaging the part by bending it when it is hot...
Their symbol reminds me of word bearers or did I miss you telling us as I was so interested in you kit bashing ! What's the hardest chapter to kit bash ? I've seen so many that I personally dont think anything could beat you unless it a Mercenaries made from order of assassins, Ork . tau. elder, geanstealer cult, baddest looking human like a rouge trader all built in primas armour ! Then molded into built into a six person kill squad
On the theme of Salamander Successors, can you do a kitbash or paint for the Storm Giants chapter? While not confirmed it’s theorized they are a successor of Salamanders.
Please so the krakens with some bioluminescence type theme. Maybe even like kinda marine cyber punk. Idk. Just my thoughts. I loving this series so far. Keep it up.
I'll be curious if they have the black skin. There are several hints that some of the Ultima Founding chapters actually come from heretical chapter geneseed (Like Sons of the Phoenix) and these guys look as though they'd come from Word Bearers. (The religious zealotry & chapter symbol are pretty spot on)
Im guessing you will be doing all the new salamanders chapters in the near future (and thats awesome) im just wondering If you will do some outher chapters too (like the blood ravens, black dragons and silver sculls)
I know you've explained your knife techniques before and that you're very safe, but god damn every time you use that scalpel it makes me nervous as hell.
So why don't the Primaris marines have flamers and melta guns yet? These new roles they have also confuse me, anyway, nice bit of converting and painting.
I want to make my own blood angel capter, but unfortunately I don't know how to do it lore-friendly enough without the inquisition kicking my door in and shout it ain't cannon. have you a idea where i can find some help.

They are an alleged successor chapter of the Salamanders from the Cursed Founding and have some really cool conversion potential! warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Dragons Btw, love your work. Relatively new to the channel, but your conversion work is aces.
None of the salamanders successor chapters should have exclusively salamander black skin. The only members of the successor chapters that should are the ones that have come directly from the salamanders during the founding itself because the reason the salamanders have that color of skin is a mutation that reacts with radiation found on their chapters home planet that radiation has been stated to be unique and would not happen on any of the new chapters worlds

Looks really good but it would have done a lot to just remove the revolver cylinder completely from the bolter.
Can we keep up the love for the Salamanders with Primaris Vulkan He'Stan?
I’ve been waiting for dat video 4 ages
I dream of that every night

Thank you for making a primaris Word Bearer 🔥💀
Any time! 😏
Sounds very word bearer's ashen circle to me.
I'm off for a smoke, can he give me a light?
Their chapter symbol even resembles the pre-heresy Word Bearers
I find it weird how they focus on heresy and book burning when that doesn't seem like a thing the salamanders would like
