To digress a bit tho i was wondering if you could make an lesson on how to play chords alongside the melody.
How does one even know what chord to play for each melody. Let take a songslike "what a friend I have in Jesus" or "tis so sweet" or "I surrender all" how does one know what chords to play alongside each melody. I've seen many musician do stuff like that (you also do it)where they/you just a play a song (melody)with their/your pinky and chords with the rest of the fingers and i was curious to know wether or not there's a theory behind it.
