I get what you mean, because many people write "it's like Pendulum" under so many dnb songs and as a pendulum fan, I'm glad to see their reach being so big.
However, what does it really mean to be like Pendulum? Pop-dnb with liquid doesn't really sound like Pendulum, does it 😀
I think Stan has his unique way of writing and producing songs, that it doesn't compare to Pendulum' style, he has created his own subgenre in my eyes, because you can just hear it's his song, the melodies, lyrics, vocals, song structure, etc, so I think Stan sounds exactly like Stan and we should respect it and compare other artists to Stan rather than Stan to Pendulum 😀
I just wanted to say, that Pendulum has it's own style which they can't even name themselves and if anyone's style is similar to theirs, it's the likes of Voicians or Muzz.
Of course, Stan has a handful of songs similar to Pendulum like Bruises or Dreamland, but it still sounds more like Stan than Pendulum, everyone compares a dnb song to Pendulum if they hear 1) male vocals, 2) guitar, 3) good drop 😀and i understand, they just pioneered that style from 2008 with In Silico and influenced many artists until now.
TL;DR: Stan has his own unique style, we shouldn't really compare him to Pendulum - Stan is separate category, Pendulum is separate category (don't take it as a hate post, I am just little bit sick of seeing "it's like pendulum" posts, when it really isn't 😀

@@HopplyYT im calm, i know it was gonna look that way, it wasnt meant for that person as if he did something wrong, just wanted to point out that we should respect Stan's unique style as something he created, of course, if a song has guitars etc, people mostly say "it's like pendulum", i've already mentioned that and i understand that opinion, but this is a 100% stan song, i dont know what to compare to pendulum from this one 😀

this song has me breaking down in tears; woke up from a nightmare-fueled nap just to listen to your work. i don't think i've seen a musician evolve as much as you have. if you ever want a backup vocalist i'd always do it for free; you thought my stuff was a little strange (lmao) during one of the production streams (i did exclusion zone, that homestuck track that i did in reaper so i couldn't share the stems) but i'd love to work with you. you're well out of my league so it's a shot in the dark, but the coincidences are too much to note.
i'm working on my debut album too, so this still stands for if you find me later on. you've been such a musical hero both for myself and my younger sister, since we were kids, and it would mean a lot to be able to work on something with you!!!
