    that's amazing . I been doing auto body repair for over 20 years and I wouldn't think a dent like that could be pulled and lined up so nice . thanks for posting

    I need a video that shows me the rear quarter panel, behind the tire where the bumber snaps in that seam.

    That's good work! I've seen dents in that hard body-line area many times and often have ask the customer for permission to drill and plug. Thanks for sharing the info! Now I'm feeling guilty for not offering the R&I option.

      I've fixed plenty of these body line dents on challengers not hard at all. It's relatively soft pliable metal. I drill in the wheel wells

    Outstanding work! I have two very small ripples I believe came from my quarter rear window being busted out and falling onto the panel. They're right underneath the window between the center of the rubber trim and body line. Could that area be reached for repair?

  • @corky1334
    @corky1334 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    why not remove rear wheel and drill through underneath wheel well. usually good access and keeps job looking clean with no plugs showing nor does it hurt the integrity of auto and saves time. You do some nice work, good job

    • @nuvo1152
      @nuvo1152 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's the same way I was thinking too, I wouldn't take out the panels and the seats that's just a waste of time

    • @denttime
      @denttime 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Because most techs aren't aware about the braces that can abstract access especially on this vehicle. Removing a panel is always superior and even more cleaner than drilling at all.

    • @corky1334
      @corky1334 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree about removing a panel is always superior, in fact access maybe even more limited than a wheel well and could affect the PDR job. Drop tops are of a different subject altogether...

    • @denttime
      @denttime 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +cork4186 Have you actually tried to drill under a challenger? It's a nightmare. If you don't drill in a perfect spot or have a dent over a brace, drilling isn't an option. In most cases, removing the panel is the best option. Drilling shouldn't be a convenient option. It's about being a clean tech and doing clean work. Drilling isn't horrible but if you can take the panel off and charge the for R&I while not making a hole, that in my book is a top tech. Not one willing to just drill n bill.

    • @corky1334
      @corky1334 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I agree that on some makes and models it is necessary to remove panel although more times than not access is easily acquired through wheel well area often with some models having their own factory holes and plugs that are usable in some PDR jobs and if the whole is required to be drilled it does not hurt the integrity of the automobile and no holes or plug is ever seen.

    • @Carsonbobarson98
      @Carsonbobarson98 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pdr glue, clear glue usually isnt strong enough and doesnt pull well enough

    Somebody in downtown Phoenix and dinged my car and took off. I never knew who I did it and they got me on the same spot. My challenger looks like shit now and I don’t want to make a claim with my insurance because that’s going to increase my insurance.

    After watching dozens of youtube videos, I decided that it's easier to just pop the dent out with glue pulling, and if it's still looks like crap, just sand the paint down and put a skim coat of bondo, and repaint the fucker.

    cars are disposable now days. Not going to be come classics. mostly everyone trades off in a couple of years. drill, push, plug. This was the slogan of the car medic of Illinois. the second largest company provider of pdr. next to dent wizard. you Californian dent guys waste valuable time by not drilling more importantly $$$. besides aluminum doesn't rust do drill out them sum bitches!

    • @joshsweet6848
      @joshsweet6848 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Gabriel Mouritsen you are one hell of a hack if that`s the attitude you have about pdr. and aluminum does corrode. get your facts straight.

    • @Chukartramp
      @Chukartramp 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Josh Sweet I may drill for access but I'm sure I can fix a dent better than you're able too. 3k a week 13-years as a tech
