Just got my Shirley a couple weeks ago, going to clean and season it this weekend. How did you go about cleaning yours? Did you wash it and cleaned the grates before you seasoned it?

I just wipe the grates off with a dry rag spray it down with some Pam or off brand spray oil and let it go. In my opinion, less is more with the oil so you don’t make a mess on the outside. Spray a little more here and there as you go.
