First get an energy sword, then a ranged weapon, finally if you get a red reticle on an enemy with the ranged weapon in Halo 2 original, you should be able to with a certain level of frames press switch weapons, and fire into the energy sword, and with enough luck your energy sword lunge will activate and fling you at enemies.
If you’re talking about clipping through walks, that’s only possible in the original release of the game or a modified 30 tick “modern version” of the game.

For the most part that was a clean run though those sniper jackals really did a number on you but nonetheless absolutely terrific run beating PB by a full 4 minutes. Congrats!

Man. I was expecting some godlike skips, and this is the first speedrun of this game I've ever watched... but yeah, all the stuff I discovered as a kid, which at the time I didn't know was just speedrun research, that stops you from skipping certain parts - like in Oracle, where the killbox is a set distance from the elevator level you're on and you have to wait for it, or in various other cases where they properly designed their set pieces and you MUST progress normally.
Meanwhile I spend this amount of time just beating gravemind. Huge GG's for this run. Halo 2 is definitely my weakest game in terms of doing well at it and getting through effectively. Whereas a game like Halo 3 or Reach I can do really well on.

Back in 2005 i used to do flawless legendary Halo 2 runs, 0 deaths, no level skips/exploits and killed 99% of the enemies. I only didn't complete 1 missions. Regret because i kept getting killed off his seat everytime i needed to punch him one last time. I beat the entirety of Bungies Halo games Complete flawless except for Halo 2 but was so close.

Why no clipping on Cairo station? Not complaining about more interesting gameplay, but it seems like it would still be faster.
Because that’s not possible in 60 tick rate Halo 2.
