    This makes me feel so much better. Sometimes you see moms on here who work out eat basically three spears of asparagus and a slither of salmon and call it dinner and I feel like..."what is wrong with me? why can't that be enough for me?" Seeing you eat an amount that seems practical to me is so validating.

      important for your own good to work on self-acceptance, otherwise throughout your life things like that will constantly make u feel that way, in any aspects of life. everyone is different, so it makes no sense worrying abt the differences between u and another, u must b able to live the way u do with no comparisons

      Try to look at the food and instead of thinking of calories, go over the nutrients in it and what they'll do for you. This salmon and avocado will give me nicer hair, the vitamin A in the side of green beans will take care of my eyes, the fiber and carbs in the brown rice will help my digestion and give me energy. The lemon wedge will give me vitamin c for my immune system. It feels silly saying it out loud, but forcing yourself to focus on the benefits helps.

      You should check out her video series on intuitive eating if you have not already! It helped me so much. (I was a “cannot buy sweets because I will at them all in the car on the way home” person).
      I eat a LOT volume wise (although due to taste preferences it tends to be lower calories foods). Due to this I am eating frequently throughout the day and episode 4 of the series really helped me be okay with that! (Sounds silly but if you’ve had restricting eating habits… then you know what I mean.)

      Hi there,
      I would recommend to avoid all caffeinated products e.g coffee, green or black tea, chocolates, energy drinks etc as caffeine is an addictive and diuretic drug that flushes out calcium thus weakening the bones. It also raises cholesterol; irritates and stimulates the brain, heart and nerves; and taxes adrenal glands. As an alternative, organic peppermint tea makes a good substitute, i believe, as it may help one keep awake; smells and tastes nice; and has nutritional benefits, i believe.
      A well-planned, organic, unrefined and untempered with vegan diet (consuming raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature or destroy the life-forces and enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please take some steamed carrots, plant them and see if they will grow; if not, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot benefit one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. I do not even see a reason to use pharmaceutical supplements e.g Vitamin D is obtainable from organic chestnut mushrooms (UV exposed) and sun-dried mushrooms with the exception of the body's ability to make it (and store it for future use) when exposed to the sun; Zinc from organic cashew nuts; potassium and magnesium from organic bananas; Omega 3 Fatty Acids (beneficial for the brain) from organic walnuts and pecans (looks like the brain and targets it).
      I would also encourage to avoid factory produced meat alternatives whose chief ingredient can be 'soy' and may contain preservatives as well as additives (e.g Vinegar, a corrosive agent). Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more toxic stuff, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death.
      Best wishes

    Thank you so much for making these videos!! Your channel has helped me recover from my eating disorder and start intuitive eating. I used to think and obsess about food all the time and have vicious restrict/binge cycles. I thought it would never get better, but now I just eat what I want when I want and it turns out I naturally gravitate towards nutritious foods (though I have a sweet tooth & still enjoy the occasional treat). I love how super real down-to-earth non-pretentious this is and the smart disclaimers. For me tea is so much more comforting than coffee, especially as a tea latte, cause caffeine kinda scares me. The clothes colors and styles look perfect on you!

    • @ramenferrana5147
      @ramenferrana5147 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there !
      Just for info, tee has almost the same amount of caffeine, it just acts differently in the body. The caffeine (or theine) is slower absorbed by the body when we drink tea. Even though the caffeine in the coffee isn’t absorbed as quick as common knowledgeable persons say.☺️

    • @flowersafeheart
      @flowersafeheart 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ramenferrana5147 Oh thank you for this info! You must be describing caffeine tea though. I like to stick to decaf tea. Other than I love having some matcha and chai as lattes. I was really bummed when I realized they have caffeine. But they don't effect me at all like coffee does. I feel really good when I drink those. Similar to Kombucha. I don't drink alcohol so hate that Kombucha technically has alcohol. But I still drink Kombucha and feel good when I drink it. I forget if chocolate has caffeine. I adore chocolate so need to research that.

    Abbey... I have to say I dug in my heels against your advice for a long time... but I've finally started having success with intuitive/mindful eating and I think I finally understand everything you have been teaching. Now that I'm no longer tracking strict calories and macros anymore and just keeping good nourishment in mind its easier to relax and enjoy my meals which has actually been making me eat less overall because I'm not constantly scarfing down my food thinking of the next meal I have planned. I still think my history of calorie and macro tracking was useful in teaching me to eat more healthily, but I got too obsessed with the numbers after doing it for a year and had to step back and focus on keeping my mind healthy too. Thank you for helping to teach me how to find balance!

      Hi there,
      I would recommend to avoid all caffeinated products e.g coffee, green or black tea, chocolates, energy drinks etc as caffeine is an addictive and diuretic drug that flushes out calcium thus weakening the bones.
      Best wishes
      💙💙💙
