    No offense but I’m really starting to feel a lot of people who do these “what I eat in a day videos” are not being honest... I think many of them try to eat more in their videos than they really do everyday and because of this I stopped watching them on TH-cam because I truly believe they’re not honest. I noticed Abby said this is not a typical day and I just want to point that out, I highly doubt she eats this much day to day because there’s no way she’d maintain this weight. Especially as a 30 something year old woman and she doesn’t appear to have that much lean muscle mass that would require such a large amount of calories.

    Hey Abbey, thank you so much for what you’re doing. Even if you don’t get a chance to read this I want to share how your videos have helped me.
    To be honest I first stumbled on your videos when you reviewed Alivia’s Glow Up Diaries. And at that point I really resented you lol. I had just found her videos and as someone who has had different forms of disordered eating my entire life I was really connecting with her portrayal of binge eating and how she “got out of it”. I didn’t like hearing that the “mental strength, etc.” that was inspiring me to follow and lose weight was toxic. I think I disliked your video and tried to block that narrative out of my head… but it stuck with me because part of me knew the mentality I was thirsting for was the one of my anorexic eating disorder about 13 years ago. At times where I feel defeated from my now binge eating disorder I just crave for that period of time where I felt “in control” and was so skinny. Your review shined a light on the reality of the still very toxic narrative in my own head. I had no choice but to further evaluate what was going on over here on your channel.
    I now love your videos and the scientific studies you bring to back your explanations, your chimes for more intuitive eating and not focusing on perfection. I’m so far from where I want to be in my health and relationship with food but I now find your videos to be very healing and in a much more healthy way. I learn a lot from you about healthy food choices in a more sustainable and accessible way. I also am getting better at on my own detecting potentially toxic narratives and individuals I may be tempted to aspire to because of their physical appearance when they actually also maybe don’t have the best relationship with food.
    So thank you for what you’re doing over here and for helping me on my journey.

    I've been on a new medication for the last 8 months that seriously dampens my appetite, so by the bedtime snack portion I was like "holy cow, I would probably explode" and being a pretty tall, somewhat muscular person I know I have got to be eating way more than I am, but one slice of toast with peanut butter, or 2 fried eggs, or one apple and a boiled egg all fill me up equally as my breakfast options, so by the time lunch rolls around, I'm still not hungry :( I supplement with 1-2 protein shakes a day to try to get in extra calories and protein in the middle of the day, and at dinner I try my hardest to eat a full, balanced plate (1/3 starch, 1/3 veg, 1/3 protein), but I'm not anywhere near the standard of what I should be eating for my activity level. Does anyone else struggle with lack of appetite?

    • @lynncrf
      @lynncrf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What medication are you on? Are there other options? I know they say to drink your calories and up the dairy big time if you struggle with undereating, as a small portion of say butter is very caloric dense.

    • @alexandreatalyin852
      @alexandreatalyin852 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lynncrf I'm taking atomoxetine for ADHD, which is the only one my psychiatrist felt comfortable recommending due to my heart condition bc it's a non-stimulant (and it works great in other aspects, it's just this one side effect I deal with). I want to try incorporating more calorie-dense foods but unfortunately I don't really like the taste of butter, or processed high-cal foods 😅 and I only get cravings for processed sugar/sweets in the week before my period so at least there's one week a month where I actually want to have soul food lol

    I have a question about the signalization of hunger and thirst and would love if you could answer.
    I've been told by more than one nutritionist that the brain can confuse the signals, and think we're hungry when we are actually thirsty. I was never provided any evidence of it, and find nothing by researching myself. Do you know if this is truth? I trust you
