That is one piece of ART WORK. I can't believe how beautiful they are crafted. I just wish I have the cash to own one of them. Thank you for the detail and oh so salivating review. God bless.
Yeah, this one doesn't come cheap! But I'm glad to be able to shoot a video on it so more than just the 20 people that buy them can still appreciate them :) -Brian
Absolutely stunning pen. Not many things in red tickle my fancy but this pen is beautiful and a work of art. The premium price is definitely delivered for by Visconti in innovation, style and attention to detail. Definitely a consideration for a spoilt daily driver when. If I can save up for one sensibly in time then fingers crossed I'll snap one up
You may enjoy the London Fog as well (www.gouletpens.com/visconti-homo-sapiens-fountain-pen-london-fog-fine/p/VI-46618PDA55-F). Visconti certainly knows how to make a premium pen. - Colin
The Goulet Pen Company thanks for the recommendation! I gave the London Fog Video a watch and it's definitely right up my alley. Essentially a blue Crimson Tide which was exactly what I wads wishing for watching this video. Looking forward to an accompanying pen to carry alongside my Aurora Ipsilon DeLuxe 14k.
It's Visconti Bordeaux (www.gouletpens.com/ink-sample-visconti-bordeaux/p/IS-VI-A3016). You can see our review of it here: blog.gouletpens.com/2016/04/visconti-bordeaux-ink-review.html - Colin
In terms of the feel of the material, how would you compare Visconti's "acryloid" to OMAS' cotton resin? Sounds like a similar composition, if I'm understanding correctly.
Beautiful pen. Any other SEC team pens being released from Visconti before Christmas? (jk) Visconti pens rock! I love writing with my HS Bronze Age. If there was a limited edition purple & gold Tiger Visconti pen, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Merry Christmas from the bayou.
while i love these pens, i am concerned. i use j herbin emarld of chivor shimmering ink. i would think that little reservoir would be a problem, with these inks. it would be nice if visconti offered a single reservoir pen from the oper, or homosapien line with demonstrator traits.
Just out of curiosity... why do many high end pens feature a screw on cap rather than a snap cap? An expensive pen like that deserves a more convenient snap cap rather than a fiddly screw cap.
the worst thing ever to happen to a pen collector would be a pen that became uncapped in pocket or en transit. A screw on cap almost alleviates that completely. a step further is having an O-ring. Mmmm. O-ringsss.
+Warholamo ahh I get it. Different people with different uses. As a student I never understood the screw cap as that could get in the way when I want to take quick notes (and pulling the cap is second nature to me that I'd probably damage a screw cap). But now I understand. thanks. :)
My go to for school is a Platinum preppy, extra fine. It has a pop top with a very secure cap. Look into it. 3 bucks is a nice investment for such a nice starter pen.
+Warholamo Currently using the Parker IM as that and Lamy are the only brands available. I am currently saving up for a Lamy2000. But the preppy will make a nice everyday pen while my IM stays at home. if only shipping is not as expensive. but I'll poke around the site. I have been lusting after the TWSBI demonstrators but only after I buy my dream pen which is the lamy 2000. Searched online and most med students seem to gravitate on that pen.
Status symbol. That's all really, what says "I have money to blow" more than an expensive pen. Then again, Card collectors pay much more for similar objects.
Dear Santa,
This is what I want this Christmas! It's exclusive to Goulet Pen.
Thanks
Haha! -Brian
A grand. And here I am thinking I'm a big time hot shot with a new Pilot Heritage 92. :)
It's so beautiful!!!
After watching the video, all I can say is "it's only money". Love the pen and video.
Yolo;) -Brian

Love the eye candy. I'd live a video on the visconti cases.
*love a video
It's on my to-do list! -Brian
The design almost looks like an octopus tentacles. I love it, but it's so huge!

I would love one of these, but I know I would lose it in a day. This is why I can't have nice things.
When's the Fighting Irish Limited Edition coming out?
damn, for a "$1000 pen" this visconti puts the montblanc 149 to shame
Visconti is a very innovative brand, always trying new designs/materials out. That's why I like them! - Colin
+The Goulet Pen Company absolutely :D love the brand and what they do
too bad Visconti's quality control is absolute rubbish.
Anyone know what ink was used for the writing sample? I'm in love with that red.
It's Visconti Bordeaux (www.gouletpens.com/ink-sample-visconti-bordeaux/p/IS-VI-A3016). You can see our review of it here: blog.gouletpens.com/2016/04/visconti-bordeaux-ink-review.html - Colin
Thanks so much!
What if I use your Liberty's Elysium ink in this pen? Will that ink stain the inside of the pen?
In terms of the feel of the material, how would you compare Visconti's "acryloid" to OMAS' cotton resin? Sounds like a similar composition, if I'm understanding correctly.
They feel identical, honestly. It's a similar material in both pens. -Brian
That pen is nicer than my house.
If only one was tiny enough to live in the barrel of this pen. - Colin
I'd get 11/18 because that's my birthday haha
That's awesome! -Brian
What ink is the red used in the writing sample?
That was Visconti Bordeaux! (www.gouletpens.com/products/visconti-bordeaux-ink-sample?variant=11884708659243 ) - Colin
Thanks, Colin! I might just buy a bottle!

+Adam Harris I love purple and gold too -- my alma mater's colors! This pen sure is gorgeous. -Margaret
Visconti have some good taste.

My grail pen is the Lamy Dialogue 3 in Piano black.
extra fine broader than fine?
The fine is broader than the extra fine. The extra fine makes a finer line. -Lydia
Brian, did they give you one for free?
+Adhib He said in some other video that he paid for it himself.
Nope...bought it myself :) -Brian
+The Goulet Pen Company Haha, as a Christmas present to yourself? :)
Can I have one?
This may be my grail pen
I like the pen , but the price ? way out of my reach !
+mr1uponu You can call it your "holy grail" pen. Or maybe just a wishlist pen. But it is beautiful! - Colin
I'm considering going to the University of Alabama next year... I need one of these :P
+Striker6g Oh yeah! Roll Tide! -Margaret
Roll tide! :)
+Striker6g roll tide!
Striker6g Roll tide ;)
I used to take my MB149 in Melbourne Uni I was treated like a n alien..oooo
950.00 Went into the packaging alone.

Roll Tide
Fancy pants pen alert :P
Is this a Rolex or a pen?!
Some people might say, is this a Visconti or a watch? - Colin
Oh my my my ... The federal reserve or Fort Knox will have something to say... Lovely pen but Damn
this makes me want to be rich...
I know what you mean! I covet a lot of Visconti pens, but that's what wishlists are for. :) - Colin
I believe only a lack of imagination, or more money than sense, would propel someone to pay this much......

u should consider not shaving again o.0
