    First of all in my waking state I feel as if I'm "stuck" in the now, not moving anywhere. Experience is flowing, but I'm in the same place. And the world appears as if some kind of a dream to me. And when I dream at night, I feel the same peace as in the waking state. I can prove for myself dreams to have the same reality as the waking state does - Consciousness. As I AM the same. It's one undescrible reality - Life itself. Thank you, Rupert ❤️ you're the Light ❤️

    Dreams appear real while you are in them...so it is with this world.
    Consciousness becomes the object cognized.

    Dreams can also become shared dreams when you do an astral projection. Multiple people can interact with each other in single dream.

    There is nothing to do.
    Just be.
    Do nothing.
    Be.
    No climbing mountains
    and sitting in caves.
    I do not even say: 'be yourself',
    since you do not know yourself.
    Just be.
    Having seen that you are
    neither the 'outer' world of perceivables,
    nor the 'inner' world of thinkables,
    that you are neither body
    nor mind -- just be.
    ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

    I heard hello in my ear as waking up; wonder what that was about and see a tweet just about the same time with a connection and tells me needed response ! Know the connection! Wish Rupert could answer kindly! You sound like you know the philosophy of Buddhism really well! 🙌🏼🙏 So far the realistic philosophy ! No promises ; but feel dreams do have consciousness related to others !

    The difference, if I may quote from Nisargadatta Maharaj, is continuity. The waking state has more and better continuity.

    Q1: Okay So If awareness is aware all the time then why we don't remember exact details of our dreams?
    Q2: Where is our attention goes during sleep? Why we are no longer aware of the body in a dream?

    • @知幻即離離幻即覺
      @知幻即離離幻即覺 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awareness is more like a mirror, it don't remember, just reflect what is.
      Attention works in the dream, otherwise we don't know the content of the dream. But dream happen within the mind, so the body is not included, in most cases.

    • @mannyjudge3361
      @mannyjudge3361 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@知幻即離離幻即覺 After 1 year someone replied. Thank You. But my question is still there, why brain/memory doesn't remember exact details of our dream?
      Also can mind exist without body (especially brain)?

    • @知幻即離離幻即覺
      @知幻即離離幻即覺 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mannyjudge3361 Glad to discuss. Brain/memory even cannot remember the details of our normal daily "waking" experience. That doesn't negate the central role of Awarenss either.
      When I say dreams happen within the mind, I don't mean the body/brain is completely excluded. The emphasis was on that the inputs of five sense organs are not essential in dreaming (in most cases).
      In fact, the omnipresent consciousness (which Rupert mentioned often) is not the same as attention/awareness of human mind. The latter is borrowed and localized from the former.

    The personalised waking dream state and ones unique perception can manifest. Evidence through technology may be captured. Jung painted his visions. Now we have digital tech. Lends weight to the true reality, gives affirmation. I am a layman trying to understand personal experiences. Kundolini (spontaneous)included during a period of isolation following the transition of one of my daughters. Trauma induced revelations. Difficult to process in the space time paradigm.❤ 🙏

    This is simply 7 layers of body in Yoga,
    First layer root chakra=matter, physical body
    7th layer Unity Crown…
    And this is all for this reality…
    Other realities of none-humans, none gravity, have different rules

      It surprises med that awakening beings (as Spira, Tolle, Mooji etc) don´t not talk about the extreme awake experience when someone is aware of when the physical body falls into sleep (especially early mornings after 6-7 hours of sleep). I talk about very real out of body-experiences that really gives spiritual food to wake up even deeper.

    At first Rupert implies that we cannot know if this(now) is the dreaming state or reality, then he distinguishes the two state he says that dream state is personal while reality is a shared dream ok but then how can you say that "this" is a shared dream?? you don't know if it's a dream or reality in first place.

    • @musicisthelanguageofthecos8266
      @musicisthelanguageofthecos8266 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He says that its a shared dream because its his personal experience however he can not really prove it so he had to initially state that we dont really know if it is a dream or reality!

      @Kevin Persia, from the standpoint of Mandukya Upanishad. Waking=Dream. There is absolutely no difference.

    Beautiful. If one can understand the real substance of this clip -that is it.
    Whatever that is received through the five senses is nothing but consciousness. It is equal to 'knowing' everything. When you listen to music 'the knowing' is consciousness. When you touch a hot plate the knowing of heat is consciousness. Similarly when you look at objects the 'knowing ' of the same is nothing but consciousness. Thus viewing of objects need not be given more importance than the 'knowing' of a smell as both are nothing but consciousness.Thus in all the three states there is nothing but this 'knowing' which is nothing but consciousness

      This knowledge enable you to be free from suffering and live effortlessly and without a brake the peace and bliss of your real Self?

    • @rpodury
      @rpodury 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***** A wonderful question. Thank you.. Let me answer to the extent I can.
      First let me clarify myself about the terms used by you. " This knowledge". Here the knowledge is that you are that infinite Awareness/Consciousness not limited to the body. This knowledge implies that not only you but what all you see around you including your body and all the external world with all its variation are nothing but 'consciousness'.
      There are two stages for this knowledge. One is intellectual understanding of the concept The other is directly feeling that you are nothing but that infinite consciousness. Once there is direct understanding the following would follow. You will enjoy absolute freedom - freedom from sentiments, freedom from the desire to achieve anything, freedom from the fear of death, perfect equanimity in accepting everything that happens in life. Yes, one can call it Bliss. This Bliss is not comparable to happiness one derives from the five senses. A state that there is no desire to be fulfilled is Bliss.
      But please do not be under the impression that a person with that Knowledge does not suffer physical pain or does not have emotional disturbance for calamities in life. He has them, but only for a very very short period as the knowledge -that all those feelings are objects to him and these objects also are nothing but consciousness -immediately dawns enabling him to become normal. Even those people without that Knowledge, though suffer immediately, they become normal after a lapse of time. But in the case of a man with that direct Knowledge FIR ( FREQUENCY INTENSITY REDUCTION) operates and comes out instantaneously. In the case of normal people, the frequency of remembering pleasant and unpleasant things is quite high. That is why they undergo suffering.
      How to get that direct Knowledge is a separate question
