It's very interesting that the wheel assemblies on this bike is the same as a 1960s machine. Chain tensioner, brake adjustment etc. The fact that you're feeling better is freakin' awesome.
Greetings from denmark!🇩🇰 When I first saw your beard in this video I started smiling, it’s so awesome to have you back from all the treatment you’ve been through. And I love your videos. Keep it up!
You should try out their illusion series of powders. They work very well . Just spray the base color. It goes on like a silvery red/purple/ whatever color you selected. When they wet out they turn to chrome. Then you spray them with a clear top coat. When the clear wets out it pulls the color right out and it goes from chrome to a beautiful candy right before your eyes. They are more forgiving than laying down a silver basecoat and then the candy. It has a more consistant coverage. I did an ar15 in their illusion purple for someone.
Great DIY alternative to buying aftermarket rims, and nice of you to show your girlfriends bike some love. The powder coating turned out amazing! I always enjoy your vids!
That turned out better than some powder coating I've paid good money for. You may have cost me some money though. My son watched this with me and now he wants the hubs on his pit bike powder coated. Keep the videos coming. My boys and I love watching them.
Thanks for this, I've been using your cerakote videos to coat my busted up front forks. Cerakoted the outer fork tubes and they came out so nice with that burnt bronze. Much love man keep it up!
Yeah, yeah, yeahhhh!!! My eyes popped out of my head when I saw the thumbnail with the red hubs and black rims! I KNEW you were going to hook up the woman of your life with some Honda themed Team Red style!! I am always scared to tear down spoked wheels, but you made it look easy.
I bought a z50r a few years back. Paid 50 bones for it. Took the cylinder, off unstuck the rings put it back together and it fired up on the first kick in True Honda fashion!
Man Would be nice to see a Cam & Adam do one of these videos. Both of them take their skills and experience and bring a really banged up bike back to life.
Dude! I just picked up a 1999 z50r for 115$! It's a very fun bike to ride even being 5'9. I'd love to see you make some videos on it as mine needs a new seat cover, and some other little things. Also, this was my first bike that I've actually owned, the only other bike i have rode was a 2003 xr100r and WOW what a learning difference to riding a simple 3 speed semi-auto bike to a manual clutch bike.
Cameron this project has been so amazing. You've created a new machine and it looks fabulous! That stock factory motorcycle has been transforned into a real beauty and performer. Love your channel!!!
Your air compressor won't have enough air volume for that blaster. You will have to stop and let air compressor catch up. This vid reminds me of your earliest vids where you powder coated that CRF 70 I believe.
I feel your pain Cameron..... Im a two time cancer survivor. March 18th was my 19th year being cancer free. My hair went from light brown to dark brown. I have a 1992 KX250 I purchased for $600. it needs some work and your videos have inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and work on it. How can I reach out to you personally for some one on one questions.?
Wow I worked for my aunt and uncle at their powdercoating/fabrication factory as a welder but occasionally moved over to the P/C side, we always sprayed dull colours like Saturn black, safety yellow or semi gloss black.. I noticed we had a box of Jotun chrome but I always thought it wouldn't turn out that nice.. if I had of known so many things I could have sprayed,
Super glad to hear and see you doing better your health is the most important thing man I knew you could beat that cancer bro. God bless keep it real cam
Hey bro! you look great! thanks for another great vid! it's a little hard to find this gun in Greece but i will at some point. one note (and the reason for the comment) : on the CR250 as i am checking with the manual of my YZ125 (being rebuilt with your help) i think i see a mistake and it's better to fix now than later! On the shift guide assemply, the two pawl pins go against the pawl and not towards the holes of the shift guide as it was when you disassembled it and assembled it back. makes sense, because otherwise the spring will scratch the pawls (even if it works well, it is a possible cause of future failure!) honored to be of assistance to such a super build and a super bro! Thx again for your vaulable help!
When I took the tire off my 2002 XR80 it was so dried out that I could not get the rim out of it. If had absolutely no stretch left in it. I ended up having to cut the tire in half to get it off. The front was similar but being a bit larger it had enough give that it went as it should. I seen that same little bike on CL just a couple weeks or so ago!! Small world... or small Washington.
As long as surfaces are prepped correctly and the process is pretty good, the powder should hold pretty well, unless a sharp rock catches it just right.
I powder coated the heal guard on my supermoto red. The pervious owner had spray painted it red and it was wearing off. The powder coat doesn't have a single scuff after a ton of riding, and trust me the heal of my boot/shoe rubs it constantly from using the rear brake
It would be a spotty finish like Cameron said, since it’s a powder, you can’t mix it like you can paint, you can’t make two colors into one different color. Depending on color and amounts of powder you put in, it could look good. Really depends on the type of look you’re going for.
On and by the way I'm so glad you are feeling better and back in the shop doing what you love. I'm sure the trip to the beach with your GF was very relaxing and exactly what you needed. That's pretty wild that your hair is coming back a totally different color lol.
I have a 2021 rmz250 I am trying to get tusk rims for but can only find them for a 2018 are they able to have the bearings changed out to make the hub work on my bike
Damn! I realize this video is like 3 years old but it's my first time watching it & man that was awesome bro! I bought some black wheels for my dirtbike recently & they aren't cheap. If I could do the same things that you are doing , then man that would really be beneficial. But definitely enjoyed your video alot. You have a real talent when it comes to painting. Keep at it. The finished product looked totally gorgeous dude. Killer!!🤘🤘🤘
Cameron niemela can you powder coat over fully cured powder coat? Like yesterday I powder coated my dirt bike rims and they turned out a little bumpy in spots so it’s been a day can I just heat the rim up again and give it another coat then bake it fully cured again?
It’s crazy how not a lot of people realize how much he is teaching everyone how to fix or do just about anything on a dirtbike.
great to see you better cam stay strong💪🏻
The best TH-camr of the World the motocross
did my tires on my CRF450X last week thanks to your vids. great tip on removing the nut on the sprocket rather than stripping out the hex head.
It's very interesting that the wheel assemblies on this bike is the same as a 1960s machine. Chain tensioner, brake adjustment etc. The fact that you're feeling better is freakin' awesome.

Good to see a beard on you

yes you could be working on the cr but look what you are doing for her bike that's cool hope you get well buddy and long may you build
That turned out better than some powder coating I've paid good money for. You may have cost me some money though. My son watched this with me and now he wants the hubs on his pit bike powder coated. Keep the videos coming. My boys and I love watching them.
Excellent video, just what I needed! Good to see you back.
Watching from Northern Ireland 👍
What you do really inspires me to appreciate the small things

Thanks for this, I've been using your cerakote videos to coat my busted up front forks. Cerakoted the outer fork tubes and they came out so nice with that burnt bronze.
Much love man keep it up!
Your videos are actually what got me into powder coating. I’ve done a few things on my dirt bike, but I do a lot more parts on my truck.
So glad your doing good, when I went through chemo my hair was curly blonde and now it's dark brown and straight, crazy huh! Stay up dude!
Hell yeah, starting to get back into a routine.

Your air compressor won't have enough air volume for that blaster. You will have to stop and let air compressor catch up. This vid reminds me of your earliest vids where you powder coated that CRF 70 I believe.

the beard is back!!!!! really happy ur better
Just broke my ankle and the videos always being up my spirit❤️
great video and also i couldn't get the motor out so i guess its staying in the frame for now
How will the powder coating hold up with mud and dirt and washing?
As long as surfaces are prepped correctly and the process is pretty good, the powder should hold pretty well, unless a sharp rock catches it just right.

Thanks dudes! Wanting to powder coat my kawi hubs green
@@brendannoerper7717 been wanting to do my bike rims as well, but sadly my oven isn't big enough
Powder coating is infinitely better than paint. Mud and washing will have no effect on it over time
Great video! Collors looking mint😍🔥🍒
Cool video Cameron. Liked and shared as usual. Glad you're feeling healthy again buddy.
Can’t wait to see the reveal!
I love your attention to detail
Do you ever have trouble getting your wheel axle through the hubs? I noticed you didn't mask off the axle holes in the hubs.
Hope you're doing well mate. always find these videos satisfying.
Just a random thought, what would happen if you mixed the powder together and then sprayed it?
Interesting thought. I think it'd be a really spotty chrome/red mixture
It would be a spotty finish like Cameron said, since it’s a powder, you can’t mix it like you can paint, you can’t make two colors into one different color. Depending on color and amounts of powder you put in, it could look good. Really depends on the type of look you’re going for.

You really do an excellent job of explaining what your doing
Loving the fact that we are seeing regular uploads again! Super pumped that you are up and going strong! So happy for you!
Good to see you’re looking healthy again lad, great vids as usual, your misses will be stoked for sure, clever guy 😁🏁
Getting teased by all these powdercoating videos. Gonna have to finally break down and buy a powdercoating kit...
4:37 Saaaaaaaame lol. Also the powder coating looks fresh!
Well done Cam. Inspiring things you've done.

Hey Cam! Hair looks great! Pumped to see ya do the rims! Like I said, girls(and guys) like jewlery! Lol
Great to see you looking so well.
Great Video! Thanks for posting your videos, they are all great.
How many clips do you have to do to get this perfect video? How does it only take you 35 minutes to do it all? How long did this REALLY take you ?
Looks great .
Looking forward to the little bike.
Great video bro, I love to see you're healthy again, keep it up!!
Love your videos! I have completed many projects with your help
your the best cam any time in aus mate you have a home !!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 2021 rmz250 I am trying to get tusk rims for but can only find them for a 2018 are they able to have the bearings changed out to make the hub work on my bike
Scotch bright the world!
Keep at it.

Killer!!🤘🤘🤘
4:39 always be prepared for when this happens usually scares the living hell out of me😂
Can I do my rims and just tape up the spokes and nipples? Also, how did you connect the electricity to the spokes
What did you use to clean the wheels before you sandblasted them
Cameron niemela can you powder coat over fully cured powder coat? Like yesterday I powder coated my dirt bike rims and they turned out a little bumpy in spots so it’s been a day can I just heat the rim up again and give it another coat then bake it fully cured again?
Yes but this is motocross - stones / roost / tyre irons / jet washing, what do they look like after a year?
Really put out some clean bikes
Great Stuff!! Maybe do something with that BBR pipe? It looks pretty crusty.
love your videos man! Super inspiring! Keep it up!
Man Cam that came out beautiful
