Taeyeon was ranked as the 7th best voice in the world and was selected as the main voice in Korea. You should know that Girls' Generation has a subgroup called TTS, which consists of the main voices of Girls' Generation namely Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Seohyun, and three of them have solo albums. But Taeyeon is the most straightforward and focuses on singing only, while Tiffany and Seohyun focus on acting and singing. There is Yuri, Yoona, and Sooyoung who have approximately one album per member. I hope you see more songs from the full collection and tts collection.🤍

I don't think it's a very good idea to compare singers and artists but Taeyeons versatility and vocal agility is quite unique. I I was sended to hell and I was played only one vocalist continuously to the eternity, I'd choose Taeyeon. ( Maybe it wouldn't be hell then...) Also she puts the music and songs first, I mean her focus is not in showing herself off. Her musical sense is just in genius level. If I was a composer, I'd choose Taeyeon to sing my best songs (If possible) because I'd be sure she'd understand respect the original song and also would perform it outstandingly live every time if healthy. In the beginning of her career she was very shy and didn' t enjoy very much for the attention she gained with her singing so it was said: "Taeyeon doesn't search for the spotlight but spotlight search for Taeyeon." There's a good reason for that.

Taeyeon is everything to me! I love her music and she’s definitely my fav female soloist along with chungha. She’s just so talented and a beau soul. And yes she’s prob sm fun to be around she’s besties with key if that tells you anything😭 they’re so funny tog
ever since debut, fron the very first time she her solo ost and that is the one she sang here titled If, it was such a huge hit that even veteran singers in Korea, not just kpop idols praise her and admit that when they tried singing it, they werre surprised how hard it is to sing that song...... and that was Taeyeon on her debut days😅... after that fans gave her a nickname "The singer who went through divorce 7 times" something across that line because she is that singer who may not hit the highest of the high notes like Mariah Carey, but she is definitely a singer that can convey the emotions through the song soooooo well❤❤❤ and not a lot of singers has that capability..... yeah sure there are a lot of great technical singers out there... but a lot of them too can't convey the emotions so well like how Taeyeon does it....
and veterans also praise her singing voice, especially when she sings, it sounds like her talking voice... cuz tons of singers have different tone when singing compared to when they are talking. Taeyeon is different, she sounds the same and they said that that is a very great skill not a lot of singers possess.
She is also the OST Queen in Korea, every drama dhe sings for is a hit❤, and probably all dramas would want her to sing for them😂.
Taeyeon also admitted that she had different tone of singing when she sings SNSD songs compared to her solo songs.
At TTS time her voice was injured I learned. She changed her vocal placement more towards mixed and headvoice from chesty high notes. Lost some power but gained agility and stamina. She's still got power now she has that agility too. When she was 15 she sounded more like a Whitney Houston but if she was continued that style, I think she wouldn't been able to continue her career so long as she's been doing and not been so versatile as she is now.

3:43 Yes, you're right. Kim "King" Taeyeon might not have the highest vocal range in Kpop, but she's a good story teller, versatile singer, and can definitely add emotions to a song. One Korean composer Yoo Young-seok noted Taeyeon's ability to sing as expressively as "a woman who has been divorced seven times." This is why she's so good at doing an OST. 😅

There's a reason why Ningning's the main top vocal of aespa and not Winter and there's a reason why Taeyeon's the top main vocal of snsd. There are creteria the coaches put in place to designate that and maybe if Winter improves or she changes style in her solo she'll get there but her high notes aren't "higher" than Taeyeon's or even better as she sounds like 2ne1 bom and that's not great singing no matter how pleasing the singing style.
