I absolutely love the shades and tone of the “black” It really does create more of a narrative and adds a lot of character than just painting black and highlighting. Thank you for the videos I’m loving your techniques

If you want some advice on painting reds, then I would recommend you check out the video I did on the Deathwatch paint scheme: th-cam.com/video/hl0ah45OBIo/w-d-xo.html I painted his shoulder pad red. It will have to do until I make a video for Blood Angels 😃
@@christophergreen7560 absolutely! I start with priming in black as well, the white primer from the top is just to get some highlights under your base layer. You can skip the white primer and go straight to painting over the black primer with Eshin Grey as the base layer.
@@FogOfGore i ended up doing a white prime from the top, worked out well i do think. now i wait for them to dry! you can see my results on my instagram if you are so inclined @there_isonlywar

No. Grimdark as opposed to the 'Eavy Metal style of Games Workshop's studio. Worn, dirty, mottled surfaces rather than smooth coats of paint. Desaturated colours, high contrast and grey tones rather than whites and blacks.

Hope you all like this return to grimdark space marines after all the Deathguard videos. I'll get some more space marine videos done soon!
