If the identity of a common person fades after death and dissipates and is forgotten after about 60 years as Dr. Von Franz says the Chinese believe, that would make sense in being about two to three generations that are able to have known and remember someone. How many generations far back can most people trace or know something about one's ancestors with any certainty before home movies photos or now video.
The great Hassidic philosopher Martin Buber was once at a conference of world religions where various faiths were discussing various forms of resurrection and reincarnation about which he apparently gave no opinion on the subject except to ask why we couldn't just pass and forego so many cycles and other lives and just make this one life we are living now the good one that counts.
    I couldn't agree more.

Primitive men, and by that I mean the protoindoeuropean culture, thought of the afterlife as something linked with the memory of you left in others. So for them, fame and glory meant immortality, because everyone would tell stories about their heroes. I recommend Crecganford video on that.
Maybe in jungian terms it means we sort of fade into the collective unconscious and we have an afterlife that's more or less privileged depending on how famous we became? I don't know, but I'd hate to see an afterlife where influencers are more rewarded than those who made a genuine effort to improve themselves and the world, lol.

I have tried 🙂 it doesn't work that way either, unfortunately.
if everyone would make the effort to try we would definitely get to our goal a lot quicker, it would require the sacrifice of this lifetime for everyone and that sacrifice counts for a lot more than you could know. but other than that I don't see any way to force a lifetime to be "the one", there are soooo many levels and there is so much work required in order to properly apply knowledge.

From my own experience I’ve had past lives dreams and even felt the emotions with those lives. Been a Mayan, a doctor in the late 1800s, had dreams of being in the Victorian era. Been a native, a healer of some kind. Been around WW2. Met people who I once had a connection with in another life etc. Never believed in such things but I have certain inclinations to healing, medicine, spirituality etc that aligned with those past lives. I also had memories of being a Monk. The emotions were painful because I saw death and suffering. Funny thing when I was having these memories I came across Brian Weiss book, many lives many masters.

Reincarnations are written in genes, or rather - in genes are written our hormonal experiences caused by our strongest emotions - from fear and love to intellectual and creative delight ( in every life)
Our character is woven in many lives - with different professions and environments.
Our exceptional individuality evolves in many situations, sometimes - in hard events by karma.
That's why we are all - such different.

Someone said one time, 🤔 is it consciousness that is actually experiencing reincarnation. 🥸 consciousness experiences itself through many forms and suggests "I am" when the ego should be replying "I am not". Where does that leave room for the human interpretation of what the soul is, if viewed as something separate from consciousness. 🤔

I recommend to anyone to write down your dreams, illustrate it if you can. Over time you might find some consistency of place and people. Over and over again in my life I've spent days and weeks "away" in dreams, only to wake up just a few hours later, exhausted. It's so frequent I put together an illustrated magazine of the people, places and things I met "over there." Is it reincarnation? The afterlife? Does it matter? I still have to go to work and pay bills in the morning. To paraphrase Alan Watts, "When hungry, eat. When tired, sleep." That's all there is to it.

I think the reason we experience deja Vu and the feeling that we've been in places before is because we have, I think what we think are angels are actually extraterrestrials in spaceships above earth. I think based on our family line and our spiritual beliefs, our souls travel to them at night. I think which ship we travel to is based on these factors I have mentioned, and I think they shape and form our memories and psyches to their end. I think they run us through scenarios more than once so that we get it right, during a recent season of profound hardship i had the feeling in the midst of it that I had been through these trials many times before and was getting a chance to do them again so I can get them right.
in the end I truly believe that we are all just cattle here, there is no love and there is no God worth knowing.
we are all just food, we are all just used by some source that's higher than us. they use us for their ends and when they're done they throw us away.
I very much believe this to be true.
