In Russia, this is a very common breed. But this is not a city dog, this is not for a city apartment. This dog should live outdoors. If there is a severe frost in winter, she will simply dig a hole in a snowdrift. This is a dog with a very strong character and independent, it is able to act without your guidance. Its owner must have a strong character to maintain his leadership. This dog is the best guard for your farm, she will not be afraid to fight with a pack of wolves and drive the bear away. If you need to protect your farm or your livestock, she is ready to fight even with Satan.
As a student in St. Petersburg, Russia, I rented a room in a communal apartment and one alcoholic neighbor in the apartment had such a dog, always wandering the corridors, unattended. It was weird, to be honest, sometimes going to the kitchen or to the toilet, and arguing with a neighbor, although I had to. Thank God the dog, this monster, was not aggressive to me, although he was quite curious, always looked up close to what you were doing.
@@MikeMike-cc4jk For them, the character of a policeman is typical if it is a purebred dog. You were under her supervision, but you were not considered dangerous.
@@sergvk998 Это да, это я и тогда так понимал, но всё равно боишься, вдруг именно эта собака больная, нервная, с какими-нибудь агрессивными отклонениями, так как хозяин не очень адекватный и ответственный.
My parents had one of these dogs since I was born and we had him untill I was 12. I remember sleeping with him in my bed and the dog pulling me on a sled during winters. I was depressed for almost a year when he passed away, do to old age. He was the best dog ever, to me he was just like family or best friend. I could not get over his passing, because until his passing I was with him since I was born until I was 12 and I spend almost 24\7 with him. The only time I wasn't with my dog was when I was in school, but otherwise he was with me non stop. It's been over 20 years since he passed and I still think about him almost every day. RIP Roly.
Aviation Nut such a sweet story ❤️ i just lost my german shepherd of nine years this summer. She was my best friend and just as you said, like family. I miss her every day... Your dogs name Roly sounds like the danish word for “calm” (rolig in danish)! just a quick side note 😊

totally get you dude, same for me, only child, x1 German Shepard since i was born, and then 1 another when i was about 3, last one went when i was 17. gutted beyond belief. took me another 12 years to get another dog for myself when i lived on my own, rescue always have done. Yes, hopefully he a dog that hates intruders. I have seen big overgrown dogs that do nothing when an intruder breaks in. Sometimes I blame the masters for trying to make their dogs great big softees rather than the fighters they were created to be.
Wilbur Mcbride Most people don’t try to make their dogs softies. It’s either ingrained in them from birth, or it isn’t. Most domestic dogs can’t pull of being a legitimate guard dog.
Haha true. In Russia when I was around 6 or 7 , two drunk guys got into our gate and tried to enter the house. The only thing I saw after that was just a shit ton of blood everywhere outside of our house and it wasn’t from our dog. Really love these dogs. They are very protective but also very ferocious animals.
@@TheKh65 Well i wouldnt get such a large dog for children. Knock them down all the time. Spook a dog that big and he could rip there face off before he realised what hes done.
@TED Bundy they never killed bears they cant fight big grey wolf supspicies like arctic wolf and toendra wolf or northern rocky mountain wolf or meckenzie valley wolf these wolves can EASILY reach 80 kg or 90 kg sometimes 110 kg for the meckenzie, people even tell storys about wolves reaching 130 kg!!
Hvhyy Ifjj black bears no way, but Steppe wolves (the only wolf this dog will have to face in the Caucasus mountains) weighs on average 40 kg, so it’d be a close match for sure. But I am, just like you, tired of these anecdotes that these dogs are hunters. They’re purposely made to protect the herd and have done so successfully for generations through intimidation working as a coherent group (much like wolves). It Does the breed unjust to portray them as killers while they are loyal defenders instead
@laststand Superman is not White, go check your history. He's was a Jewish character with tan skin and had curly hair. He was the Jew answer to Jesus Christ as they didn't believe Jesus was the son of God. Hollywood bought (DC) the character and made him white. Educate yourself.
My baby Niko was a Caucasian…and he was the sweetest baby in the world. He became something of a celebrity in our neighborhood due to his size, people were terrified of him…but after they got to see just how sweet he was…oh the loving he received. I was leaving one morning to go to work and two cops are outside my house looking in my backyard…I thought perhaps he had gotten out..no. They were there just to see this gigantic 207 pound dog.
That's how I came to own & love them. My husband came home talking about a dog that looked like (to him) a husky/chow mix but weighing 180lbs. He had chatted with the owner & was informed the dog was a Caucasian Shepherd. I didn't believe him. What dog can weigh that much and isn't a mastiff breed? So I set about to research them & fell in love. But REAL breeders of COs are few in the USA. We, luckily, "spoke' with Ms. Tamara Follett and Stacy Kubrick learned so much from them & their books on the breed. We had an exotic animal farm bring our first boy into the USA for us. Even from 10 weeks, my boy, "Yogi Bear' (not his FSS/AKC name) was protective. Learning how instinctual that trait is, just wooed me. Ours too is well known in our community. We socialized him well -bank, police station, grocery store, parks, rivers, beach, even the ball field. He is quite the "lover boy'. And he knows when people are talking about him...he preens & shows off his growls/barks. He "talks' back at me "husky like", petulant teenager. Loves many people BUT he is no joke when he senses danger/aggression/anger.... We have had several issues where he & all his instincts were on display. He caught a naked homeless man using our water hose at 5AM & Yogi scaled an 8 foot fence & ripped the door to an RV open to get to the man. Man's words to police chilled me to bone but with Yogi, I know I'm safe. Yogi has defended our cattle from coyotes & wolves. Unfortunately, he had to defend against 3 pit bulls as well. Killing all 3. This breed is unique, wonderful, courageous & gentle while also being a predator's worse nightmare.
I have an Australian Cattle Dog, in Russia... for feral dog/wolf deterring. Yes these have killed many Wolves in History. My Dog has killed too... but she also sleeps on me or my Daughters bed. These dogs have been couped up in the UK, their true purpose lost to them. Just because a dog has killed, doesnt make it less loyal, loving or smart. And dogs that have never killed, can kill... This video is cool but kinda dumb...
Thank you for sharing. We had a visit from a Caucasian Shepherd the other day. I asked his owner if I could say hello...what a beautiful character! He was lovely! All he wanted was to be touched and chatted to. No bouncing (thank goodness!) , just very chilled!❤
Drew Lovelyhell I sometimes wonder if my cocker could. He is scared of the tiny parrot we have and runs away from him but will bark aggressively at a friends jack Russell when he doesn’t like her barking at me in play
@The leader King My family has had a Labrador, a Terrier, two Greyhounds and two Rottweiller crosses. If you are looking for a new dog, get a Greyhound! They are the sweetest, most gentle and well-behaved dogs!
I had a pitbull/boxer mix that would lay down and try to push smaller dogs away with his butt if they got aggressive but would always get between me and my kids if a bigger dog came towards us. If the big dog got aggressive he'd attack without hesitation, never starting trouble but always finishing it. I've been thinking about getting a dogo argentino puppy as soon as I can find a good one.
@@entitledbobcat our cocker spaniel was the toughest of all the dogs we had and we had caucasian and german shepherds, bulldogs etc. He was treated like the baby of the house but ended up being a monster if necessary; he would dig up holes and ran away _just_ to fight with dogs twice or triple his size (even if he was socialized af), he would win all fights always (wich was never glamorized btw), he would be sweet to anyone entering the house if we were around but otherwise he would be in position to jump on them and didn't let go of a dude's legs that went to kick my brother once (thankfully was all good in the end), among other gangster insaneties. It was seriously random as we never encouraged any of this behavior (much to the contrary) and none of our other dogs were like this in _anyway_ TL;DR: cockers can be absolute beasts yes ;P
I am from Chechnya and these beautiful dogs come from our region and they have always lived on the Caucasian ridge. They have been used by shepherds against wolves for centuries. When I was little, we had the same huge dog, but completely yellow, which is why we called him "Yantar" which means amber. Just like a Lion😍 Unfortunately, he was killed by soldiers and thrown into the river.. Miss you Yantar...
That's really evil, I'm sorry that soldiers did such a cowardly thing to Yantar. If they faced Yantar like men he'd no doubt have won. May Yantar forever rest in peace.
BK Banks Thiefs usually follow their target a couple of days, if they see big dogs like that they most likely will go for a different house in the area
I'd install security cameras in my house just to catch the looks on the burglar's face when they bust a window and the summarily tackled and gutted by a dog larger than a mountain lion.
"Oh yess I am about to hit gold, I bet this house has a lot of valuables inside" *breaks in* *sees this majestic floof ball running towards them* *turns around and starts running away* *floof boi attac he protecc but most importantly he lay on his bacc because you better give that good boi a belly rub before you run away*
I agree with the last two commenters. These dogs are large, very powerful and very protective. They are constantly scanning for threats and will jump fences, crash through windows, or drag someone by the leash to get at, and take out, what they perceive as a threat. Most dogs bark a lot first at threats to keep it away but these dogs will charge the threat. I was going to get one years ago for protection on land we owned but after much research and speaking with breeders, I chose against it. They truly are like a 45 caliber weapon in lethalness, and I just didn’t want to take on that kind of responsibility. As with all dogs, they are sweet and kind, but put in the right situation, they can be dangerous.
That's why reading posts like "I want this dog" under such videos bother me a lot. What is wrong with people who watch a 10 minutes video about a rare dog breed and then decide that they "want" one?!
Had the pleasure of getting to know a brother and sister pair of these back in 1989. Very loving with the immediate “pack” of humans. But showed aggression toward outsiders. Great guard dogs they were. But they would warm up to strangers as long as they didn’t feel threatened. The male became my good friend and I am grateful for the short 4 years that we knew each other.
No they can't kill bears sigh. Do you have any idea how storng a bear is. They can try to scare them away. If a bear goes full attack mode trust me dogs are just snacks for bears.
Caucasian Ovcharka is one of my favorite breeds . Their fur is the most beautiful fur Ive ever seen. And it looks so soft . But I know this dog aint no joke . You really need a great deal of experience to train and socialize this breed .
Ace you cant sleep with them because mine when he was little he used to sleep with me and developed his habit with sleeping with us but now if he sleeps with us he strangles us because he is so Heavy lmao
My grandmother had one in 20 years ago. Rural Eastern Europe. Some of her chickens were started missing 3 or 4 each time she checked. A fox came for them every few nights. I've told her to let the 6 months old untrained, neglected Macko(Caucasian purebred) out to protect the chickens. Well, it wasn't a good idea, little Macko(means bear cub) got the fox, snapped its spine, opened it up like it's nothing. But also has killed 12-14 chickens. This breed needs attention, control, training. At least the gypsies stopped breaking in and stealing stuff. Caucasians are really good at their job.
Story checks out, the two most common harmful animals in Hungary are foxes and gypsies. So they're pretty effective even untrained, worth the investment imo
It reminds me of her malamute. I just wonder how she manages with these wolves and dogs. They all bigger than she is but I love how she breaks the stereo type. Her house will NEVER be robbed. lol I'm surprised if the mailman delivers hahaha
“Breaking news: An intruder died in a home invasion today, reports say he died from pure fear when he kicked down the door of a Caucasian Shepherd breeder.”
"here's an ancient breed that was bred to kill wolves and bears" *Shows video of Dog killing a wolf* "But is it true? Or is this the stuff of fairy tales ?"
The black Caucasian in this video which is the largest of them all, could... probably kill one. But if it's quite small to a Wolf, then... It's very unlikely.
Lucifer heylel So???? what's your problem?😂 If it's still not fully grown, then it will still grow bigger and will definitely live up to the legend of "the wolf killer" dog..
My dad got one that was 1 month older than me and when I was like 4-5 years old, he would do a "drive-by" in which he would lick my whole face before running away leaving me literally breathless lol. Every winter, I would play with him in the snow, he would even pull my sled, and really loved sleeping in snow. In the mornings when my dad came out in the yard to call for him, he would just jump out of layers of snow and start running towards my dad. He lived for 14 years, and the saddest part was that skin cancer got him, not old age. I'm 26 years old now and I still miss him. he was a great family dog.
I feel u. I had one as a pup he didn't live long he died at 3 months cuz of an infection. It broke my heart. I dunno why ppl take this breed to be severely aggressive but they are not. They only attack when what they are protecting is being attacked cuz that's what they are bred for
@@Tektonik176 tl;dr People are intimidated by big dogs and aggression is symptom of isolation. Every pet can be really aggressive if you don't know what you're doing. Everyone talks about big dogs, why not small ones? In my experience smallest dogs are ones of the most aggressive pets I've ever seen, I'm dead serious. They would even chase after dogs that are 5 times their size. It's because people who talk about big dogs are intimidated just by their size. I was visiting a friend that had pretty large German Shepard. The dog was 18 months old, and I didn't see my friend in like 2 years. Anyways, I was entering his house when all of sudden the dog just starts rushing towards me like hes gonna kill me. The dog got right in front of me before lifting both front legs on my arm (because I didn't want to get stabbed by both paws in my chest) and started licking me all over, biting my hand gently, nearly knocking me down (and I'm big dude, 190cm 110 kg). In this situation (and few seconds before), most of the people would get scared shitless, calling the dog aggressive. He was just a young dog that was happy to see someone new who he could interact with. The biggest reason for having a aggressive pet IMO is just being a bad teacher. If you expose them from early age to other people, walk them down the street, let them interact with everything, 99% of the time that pet will be a best pet you could ask for, because they will be less paranoid and more relaxed around unfamiliar surroundings/people. Locking them in the house without any interaction except the owner is a bad idea. Of course hes gonna be aggressive if you do things like that. Few more pages and I can release a book lol.
@@ShadzWins i agree with u on everything smaller dogs are the worst and chaining or locking up a dog all day everyday without interaction only from the owner can definately lead to temperament issues with other people
My beautiful lady. The owner of the big heart and tender feelings. Three years ago, I was writing a research paper on the use of dogs in war, especially in snowy mountainous areas. On TH-cam, I stumbled upon an episode of yours that talked about Huskies. And another episode about Caucasian dogs. After that, I started following all your episodes on your program with passion, love and admiration. Then my fellow officers started following the episodes of your program. We were sitting in amazement and astonishment at your great and wonderful courage as you talked to the Norwegian wolves. And how they love you intensely and are very jealous of you. You are, with complete honesty and absolute frankness, a wonderful and very great person in your noble goals. I wish you success, goodness and everlasting happiness. My regards.
I have had dogs all my life and currently have a 1 year old female Caucasian Shepherd. We only found out the breed a little while after adopting her and, after reading all the bad press, we got a bit nervous when we found out! Would not have chosen the breed but had already fallen in love at that point. This video is a great representation of the breed - mine is incredibly friendly to both people and dogs. I imagine she will become more wary as she gets older but, at the moment, she is an absolute sweetheart with everyone (stranger or otherwise). She is very stubborn and independent but responds well to treat-based training. They definitely "pair off" like he says - she obeys me far more than my other half, as I am the one that walks and feeds her. Some downsides: - they are VERY VERY LOUD; - insurance costs a fortune because of their reputation; - food costs a fortune because of their size; - vet bills and medicine cost a fortune because of their size; and - while I have not personally experienced it yet with mine, there are so many stories around this breed that I expect there must be an element of truth to it. If you're thinking about getting one - please think long and hard. These dogs can be absolutely lovely but so can any breed. Not many breeds have the same combination of strength, independence and protectiveness that this one does so please be wary. If I could choose again I would go for an easier, cheaper, less worrying breed but there is just no replacing my best friend now!
@Copium Prodoocer I'm from North Caucas. Here, such dogs are mainly kept only by shepherds or to protect a territory. People who keep them at home have a bad reputation. (at least because these dogs are loud)

You should not be so wrong about this breed. I am a citizen of Russia and often come across this breed of dogs. This is not a fluffy and kind toy, it is a born killer of all life. This dog lives only on instincts, it does not use the brain. Her task in life is only to protect the property of the owner. Very strong and aggressive breed, it must always be kept in strong hands. If she is at least a little relaxed you are dead. Once I witnessed how a similar dog killed in the blink of an eye a Rottweiler simply by tearing out a part of his throat, and then feeling the blood and attacking his master. They do not walk in parks, they sit only on chains or run in prisons around the perimeter. There were many cases when they attacked their masters, simply because they did not consider them masters. They have a very difficult upbringing.

I used to work at the airport and there was a couple who had a Newfoundland which makes this dog look well not small, but less big at least and they flew with the dog. But it was in a ungodly large custom made container in the baggage compartment or wherever you put dogs that arent in the cabin. She was an appropriately large woman and the man as well both over 6'5". The woman showed up alone one day and i asked her where the rest of the crew was and she said that the husband and dog were driving because they decided to not fly with the dog any more because the pressure changes were too much for him and you could hear him howling in the passenger cabin. The dog was huge. He was large even for a newfie, but he was such a nice and sedate dog. So yeah i imagine flying with one of these would be a ordeal. Another newfie tale. I was waiting for a bus years later and a lady drove by and asked if i had seen her dog as she had lost him. I asked what kind of dog it was and she said a newfie, I asked her how she could possibly loose something that large. I hadnt seen it. I hope she found it.
This dog looks like THE MOST trustworthy animal I've ever seen. Like some sort of wise man that lives on the top of a mountain, is really laid back, and kind of hippie 😂😂 a guy that doesn't show his intelligence, but is a force to be reckoned with! Every time I discover a new breed of massive dog, I want one even more badly each time 😂😂

Do not think you can own this dog and have a pet. This guys put loads and loads of work into his pups. He's leashed during the whole video, his dads watching his body language and eyes. Even the breeders of these dogs say do not own one unless you know exactly what your doing. Unless your using them for the job they're bred for. They say it's just a dog in the wrong hands and while yes it's partly true it's also not for the Caucasian, these are one of the ONLY breeds born aggressive. Most breeds learn that behavior these dogs are bred for it. Don't let this one video fool you. Research the breed and you'll understand why I'm making this comment as a Russian and as a person who's worked with dogs/ dog behavior their whole life.
Agreed. I dont understand why the west so strongly wants to present all dogs are just fluffy pets. There is nothing wrong with agression, its a working dog. And its not a pet.
Have friends who have 5 kids, 4 loud wee girls and a boy toddler. Their life is far from normal and with hardly any routine. They decided to get a dog to protect their house and other belongings from thieves who visited them few times. They only had one dog before which passed away. They went to see what's available in dog shelter. Came back with an adult full grown huge Caucasian male, dare to say bigger than the one on the video. They went for it. You could say risked their lives. Needless to say thieves never tried again. Surprisingly the dog didn't get poisoned. Anyway some time later was asked to stay at theirs and look after the house and the dog (!) cause they went on hols for a month. Got to mention, I've never owned a dog. So again, risking my life, huh? Sorry to disappoint you but me and the giant had great time together, playing, walking and chilling. As video showed, the dog was on a constant lookout, always sitting with his back to me. And loud and jumpy kids weren't eaten but rode him instead. Luck? Dog been trained before. No he wasn't. So I think you should revise your 'knowledge' or stop spreading unjustified bad reputation.

I feel like thats mostly the reason people get protective dogs. So people know to not mess with them. I love big dogs, but if I am a stranger to one, you best believe I'm crossing the road. Best wishes
KellyAnn McGregor ofc wolves in a pack will destroy a Caucasian shepherd they are an apex predator and super clever,Caucasian shepherds domestic animals not predators
Not meant to be a cuddle dog really, it's a shame to have this kind of dog in cities. It can kill a bear, it need a lot of exercise and it likes the cold, the male is only 2 years old, he will probably get harder to handle overtime, too much energy.
My saint Bernard shared his pack walk today with Caucasian Shepherd, he is adorable and they played fantastic..love to meet this English guy and his CSD...stunning.
I can’t get enough of learning about and watching about this breed! They are by far the best doggos in the world imo! I got my pup at 7 weeks and have known him since he was a few days old, held him in my hands before he opened his eyes! Got first pick, picked the alpha of the litter! He’s so ridiculously well socialized he is super goof around people, extremely protective and good natured and is a perfect guard and companion, he’s just a 10 month old pup and his instincts with people is unmatched! He knows full well who to look out for and who is safe, I feel 1000% safe around him! He’s in a very public role and the amount of interest in him and his breed is awesome, so many people are now aware of and interested in his breed and I don’t know whether or not that is a good thing, probably good but I somewhat like being the only person in my zip and one of only a handful of people to own one in the state! Absolutely worth every penny, cost about $3,000 with full pedigree, came from russian champion and military working lines! Smartest dog I’ve ever known, happy, loyal, loving, protective and playful! Almost 180lbs at 10months! He’s gonna be a giant baby! Local police and sheriffs, security all love him and I couldn’t ask for a better companion! This doggo loves me with everything you can see in his eyes, he practically worships me and I know I worked hard to earn that and respect him so much I work hard to earn his live and trust! You get what you pay for with these dogs, and you get out what you put into them and I’ve spent everyday working hard on building our relationship and training him into a damn good k9 companion, work animal, and he serves as an excellent role model and ambassador for the breed! His presence alone is far more than enough to keep people in line and behave themselves! One day I hope to have him sire puppies and I would love to be able to give some away to deserving people! Only downside is he eats more and shits more than entire family of four! Shedding is minimal and so is grooming, doesn’t need endless amounts of exercise and despite loving being around people and me is very well behaved by himself! This breed is so intelligent, capable and protective, if he’s home I could leave my doors unlocked and wide open all night and know for absolute certain there is no danger of being robbed or broken into! It’s strange though, having one of these as a companion and guard you have incredible power, I know that I have the power to extend people and strangers protection by introducing them to my poop and know he will defend them and protect them just as much ad me! It’s a lot of responsibility and work but it’s all worth it, I know I waited 5 years to finally get one, and it was worth everything! If you’re ever considering whether or not to get one, I highly recommend this breed! Just make sure you do your homework and research and have enough time and energy to devote to training them, and know they are a working animal, they do not make good pets if you do not have a job for them to do and cannot devote enough time to socializing and training them, they are very expensive, but for everything you need to do for them, they give twice as much back and you will have the best doggo you could ever imagine!
It's amazing and brilliant to see incredible dogs like these. And actually 2 people that know what they are talking ... So glad I found you both. Grown up with Gsd's ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 loved watching, thank you so much x
They were bred to defend the home and the livestock. More importantly, they were bred to do this WITHOUT waiting for guidance. They are there to defend wherever the homeowner is not. They are absolutely devoted to their "family". If you are their family, you can just about put a saddle on them or use them as a pillow. However, if they believe something to be a THREAT to their family they will be up and preparing to do whatever is required to end that threat. And they will continue until the threat is no longer a threat. They require a good, experienced, responsible owner to keep their instincts in check. Properly trained, they can very easily be called back and told to stand down, at which point they return to their giant, fluffy-buddy state. But always remember, THEY WERE BRED to do their job COMPLETELY UNSUPERVISED, often completely alone, and they take their duty very, very seriously. Kind of like how the Secret Service takes their duty very, very seriously. They do NOT wait for permission to act, and they do not believe in half-measures. In short, both stories are true. They are absolutely ridiculously cuddly softies AND they are absolutely violently murderous beasties. It depends on who YOU are.
Thats all dogs and is less suppressed in small breeds. Larger breeds tend to realize they're powerful. Our ausies played well with children and so did our rotties, my moms two chihuahuas were little ankle biting rat dogs. Only got bit by our one assie because he was a new 6yro champion and didn't realize my dog(female aussie) was playing with me and bit me on the ass. He never bit me again and was a really good boy and very tolerant.
My uncle had these dogs and my god theyre amazing dogs but under no circumstance buy these animals unless you know what youre doing. Theyre extremely powerful. Always be careful around them!

This dog can be a pet.. but its not the pet anyone can have i am 23 now my sister is 24 we were born and rised together with 2 beautiful Caucasians.. None in my family was ever attacked but these dogs can sometimes hurt you out of shere desire to play.. Their names were Cesar and Leoni (male and female) idk how much their weighted in pounds but male had almost 95 96kg when it was weighted last time.. I remeber when dad described them to me he said this : These dogs have one owner one who they consider their master (usualy the one who feeds them when they are puppies which in this case were my uncle and father), other family members are sheeps, and thats how it really was both of dogs prefered to be feed by "their masters", and they were super protective. It was funny to watch for me (bet it wasnt for others lol), when ever someone would come in the yard they would hide. When that person goes into house dogs would piecefully come to the front door and lay in front of the door and wont move unless they are told to move. No one was leaving the house unless my father tells them to move. Oh and they despised mail delivery guy lol idk why but when he goes by they would go nuts. I have 1 of this soort of doge

Yes, Daniel. It certainly will... *rip* the person who tries to rob their house.
Yes, hopefully he a dog that hates intruders. I have seen big overgrown dogs that do nothing when an intruder breaks in. Sometimes I blame the masters for trying to make their dogs great big softees rather than the fighters they were created to be.
Without proper training the dog won't do anything 99% of the time..
Aww, it must have been such an honour to be accepted enough to be able to pet him 😊
That's how I came to own & love them.
Cool how long did he live for?

Drew Lovelyhell I sometimes wonder if my cocker could. He is scared of the tiny parrot we have and runs away from him but will bark aggressively at a friends jack Russell when he doesn’t like her barking at me in play

They only attack when what they are protecting is being attacked cuz that's what they are bred for
@@Tektonik176
tl;dr People are intimidated by big dogs and aggression is symptom of isolation.

Some downsides:
- they are VERY VERY LOUD;
- insurance costs a fortune because of their reputation;
- food costs a fortune because of their size;
- vet bills and medicine cost a fortune because of their size; and
- while I have not personally experienced it yet with mine, there are so many stories around this breed that I expect there must be an element of truth to it.
Is she being good?
You should never sit on a dog's back.

I asked what kind of dog it was and she said a newfie,
I asked her how she could possibly loose something that large. I hadnt seen it. I hope she found it.

I was just about to say, if there's one dog that is NOT A PET it's this breed!
That being said, they get a good butt scratch and they melt into fluff puddles 🤣

Beautiful healthy well socialized and happy doggos. This is what we want for every dear furry soul happy in their appropriate home. ♡

Yeah, I REALLY relate to this. I worry about inept people getting serious breeds. Maybe a pit is a sweetheart with the right master.
